About Amy
Hi, I’m Amy! a passionate and reliable pet sitter with a strong background in animal care, behaviour, and welfare.
I have completed both Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Animal Management at Capel Manor College and I am currently studying Canine Hydrotherapy at Anglia Ruskin University. Through my studies and hands-on experience, I’ve developed excellent knowledge of animal wellbeing, behaviour, and handling.
I have over 75 hours of work experience at Elmtree Pet Hotel, where I cared for both dogs and cats during long shifts. My responsibilities included dog walking, feeding, cleaning, providing companionship, and ensuring every animal felt safe, comfortable, and cared for.
I’ve also gained experience working with a wide variety of animals through placements at Exotic Explorers, Kingfishers, and High Beech Riding School. This included caring for reptiles, amphibians, rodents, birds, horses, cats, and dogs.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I currently have my own dog, cat, and gerbil at home. Caring for animals genuinely makes me happy, and I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and attention as if they were my own.
Services I Offer:
Dog walking
Pet sitting
Home visits/check-ins
Feeding & playtime
Oral medication administration
Basic training support
Dog washing & brushing
I tailor every walk to suit each dog’s personality, energy level, and individual needs. Walks are typically 30 minutes or longer, and I’m happy to visit secure dog parks for extra enrichment where appropriate.
During home visits and pet sitting, your pet will receive plenty of companionship, exercise, toilet breaks, feeding, and loving attention while you’re away. I’m also happy to help with small household tasks such as bringing in parcels. I always provide regular updates for owners, including how your pet is doing, eating, and settling in.
I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, although I do prefer dogs that are well-behaved on walks and do not pull excessively. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priority.
My availability is flexible during half terms, summer holidays, and weekends. While university can sometimes limit weekday availability, I’m always happy to work around schedules wherever possible. I also offer overnight care, longer stays, and extended daytime visits.
My motivation for pet sitting comes from a genuine love for animals and a passion for making them feel safe, happy, and cared for. I understand how important pets are as members of the family, and I will always treat them with the same love and respect.
I would love the opportunity to meet you and care for your pets!
