I'd love to have a dog. I'm a huge dog person - without a dog (because of current living situation). Very sad. But I have >7 years experience walking, dog/house sitting and generally being around dogs (who very rarey don't instantly like me!). My favourite part is when I return to a house and their pets are excited to see me, knowing they're in for a good time full of walks, play and general fuss. :)

I have experience looking after rescue/nervous pets. I'm very patient and calm and will ask exactly what your pet likes/dislikes and how I can help them.

I am also a portrait and pet portrait Artist, working in Oils, and often have a stand at dog shows/ events where I get to chat to people whilst petting their dogs (it's a hard life, isn't it?) I'm often walking in the countryside and National Trust gardens.

Unfortunately can't dog-sit in my own home, as I live in a shared house, but the house has a reasonable-sized high fenced/enclosed garden which a dog can be in temporarily (if for instance, the pup needs to be dropped off with me). I'm also a dog sitter and house sitter. I'm very quiet, tidy and respectful. Usually just bring my laptop and small painting I'm working on. Happy to do other little jobs whilst there. Collect post, water plants, take out bins, keep place tidy etc. No problem. I think dogs are wonderful little life-improving companions & I understand that they are valued family members. It would be a privilege to be trusted with someone's furry friend.

I would respect this and the pup would be my no.1 priority when in my care. I used to own a corn-snake, called Frankie. So I also have experience with looking after a reptile. Just let me know where you keep the mice or crickets! :)
