About Molly
About: My name is Molly and I am a 22 year old post-graduate student studying Journalism in Edinburgh. Throughout my life I have taken an interest in friends and family’s dogs. During lockdown, I joined the BorrowMyDoggy community where I have been an active member since. Through BorrowMyDoggy I have pet-sat for various breeds of dogs, large and small, taking them for local walks as well as boarding them in my own home. Over these two years I have gained a great deal of experience looking after pets and have appreciated the company and exercise dog companions have provided. I am an active and outdoor person and have even managed to persuade Fergus the Australian Kelpie on to my paddleboard! I live near and like to walk along the water of Leith as well as multiple dog friendly parks. I am a reliable and adaptable person willing to meet any specific needs an owner may have for their pet. Please feel to contact me with any questions you may have.
Boarding: I live in my family home with my parents
and sister who have also enjoyed taking part in the care of other dogs. The home is comfortable with a large and secure back garden which dogs are free to enjoy. (The garden is secured by a locked gate pictured in profile). Dogs are welcome to roam all areas of the home, and since I have pet sat for a number of years I have accumulated a small dog bed and a great deal of pet toys which are welcome to all. Dogs with their own beds/ crates are welcome. Dogs are welcome for a number of days-weeks. As a student, I am required to attend university on a number of days a week which can change according to my current modules. Though this might mean I am away from the house a morning or an afternoon, I live only a 20-minute drive from campus and am diligent in ensuring any dog I care for is walked every day and kept company every evening. A dog that needs
constant supervision would not be suitable for this reason, however a dog who is used to relaxing in the home themselves for a number of hours before their
walk would fit perfectly with my routine. I regularly pet-sit externally for an Australian Kelpie pictured on my profile - please be aware that this dog may be present during the day-time a number of days while your pet boards.
Home Visits: My availability can change week to week,
so please contact me if you wish to enquire about a specific period of time/ number of days. Generally, I can be available every evening after University. I have a car and am able to travel reasonable distance within Edinburgh.
Dog walking: Availability can change week to week due
to University, but please contact me if you wish to arrange a one off or weekly dog walk that I can make a regular date in my calendar. I enjoy walking dogs
with my friends who are also dog owners, and our family home is often a sociable one, so a friendly/sociable dog would have a great time with me. I have a car and can provide pick up/drop off.
