Hey I'm Sophie from China. I'm currently a PhD researcher in advanced materials. Academia and research play an important role in my life. Apart from work, I really love animals and enjoy spending time with them. I find chilling with animals and exploring the nature a good way to calm my mind. 

For my leisure time, I enjoy participating art related activities and visiting heritage sites. My favourite impressionist artist is Claude Monet and visiting his gardens in Giverny has always been one of my dreams. My current interest is in ancient Egyptian mythology and artefacts.

I had one dog sitting experience and really enjoyed it. My friends always say that I attract animals wherever I go. In my profile, I've attached some photos of my animal encounter experiences here in UK and hopefully these can show my passion for animals. To learn more about wild animals, I've also became one day zoo keeper in the Fenn Bell Conservation Project and had an amazing time.

Due to the nature of my work and study, I'm mainly available during Christmas and Easter break. Apart from that, I'm also free on the weekends and hopefully will get some days off during the summer.
