Hi! I’m Roxy, a lifelong dog lover who has grown up with dogs for as long as I can remember. They have always been part of my family, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I recently moved to Newcastle for work, which means I’m no longer close to my family dogs, and I really miss having them around. Joining Pawshake is the perfect way for me to spend time doing something I genuinely love while helping owners feel confident that their pets are in caring hands.
Growing up with dogs has given me experience caring for different personalities and energy levels. I understand that every dog is unique—some love long adventures and playing fetch, while others prefer a slower-paced stroll and lots of cuddles. I’m happy to adapt to your dog’s routine, ensuring they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for.
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my priority. I always keep dogs on their lead unless instructed otherwise and it’s safe to do so, pay close attention during walks, and follow any routines or training you have in place. If your dog has any special requirements, medication, or preferences, I’m more than happy to accommodate them. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I’ll contact you immediately and follow your instructions while making sure your pet is safe.
I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. Walks typically last 30–60 minutes, depending on your dog’s age, energy levels, and your preferences. During visits, I’ll provide fresh food and water, toilet breaks, playtime, companionship, plenty of affection, and regular photo updates so you can see how your pet is getting on.
I’m flexible on weekends and available most afternoons and evenings during the week, making it easy to fit around your schedule.
I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet because they’re family. I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own—with patience, kindness, and lots of love. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged best friend! 


Hi I'm Alex. I love long dog walks in the woods and looking after my dogs. I walk 5 miles daily with the dogs. I live with Dizzy, a 3-year-old cocker spaniel, and Dexter and Ziggy, who are 7-year-old Boston terriers. We regularly have friends' dogs staying with us, and we are looking forward to making new friends.&nbsp;
I walk 3 dogs at least twice daily. On occasions, I walk 4. Each dog is treated separately for what they need. I am skilled in dog body language and behaviour.&nbsp;
We would prefer to take neutered dogs but understand if you have a young dog that isn't.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Happy to walk your dog on their own. Or with all or part of our pack. On or off lead it's your preference. My walks are for an hour. Home visits 30 mins
I provide poo bags and treats on walks and always make sure there is plenty of water available.
For boarding and daycare, it is important for all the dogs to get on, so we will need a trial session of a couple of hours with our boys to see if they are compatible. Your dog will not be left alone. I will be with them for the majority of the time. They can even accompany Dizzy and I to bed. We have space 🩵

Hello! My name is Thea and I offer a pet sitting service specifically for cats, where I will visit your home to look after your cat(s) while you are away. I am based in Chester-le-Street, but can travel as far as Durham, Newcastle, or Bishop Auckland if needed. The duration of single visits is about 1 hour, but you can book me for double visits which means I will come twice a day (perfect if your kitties are used to being fed in the morning and evening), or overnight which means I will spend the full 24 hours around your cat, which I know can be reassuring to some people whose feline friends require an extra amount of attention. I have been around pets my entire life, and have owned a cat (on occasion several cats) since the age of 7. I know from experience how difficult it can be to leave your pet when going away, so I would love to help ease this process and make both you and your feline friend's experience apart as comfortable and stress-free as possible by providing them with the utmost care and attention during your time away. I know that every cat is different and always take the time to get to know the cat's own set of needs and ways of communicating. I have previous experience looking after kitties, including shy and aloof cats who tend to warm to me in their own way. If you choose me as your next cat sitter I will make sure your kitty is well taken care of, and will send daily pictures and updates of our time together. I offer daily visits to your home so that your cat can feel comfortable in its own environment, and can also do overnight stays. I am usually available in the morning and early afternoon, but can be made available other times of day if needed. I am also happy to water plants and collect mail. I absolutely love all animals and I have over 15 years of personal and professional experience with animals. 
I love animals and would love to help out when you need your fur-babies looked after. I have a lot of experience with dogs with high energy. Your fur-babies would be in good hands. I am reliable and trustworthy, available any day of the week and will try to work around you where possible. I can do walks last minute and am always happy to spend the night with your pet if you can't be there. I am now happy to say I’m boarding animals - so what ever you need, I’m happy to help. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer your concerns. I do have small children so all animals staying need to be ok with kids and I never leave the animals alone with the children.

I’m home full time so your animals wouldn’t be left alone unless going to the shops. I can provide toilet breaks whenever they want to go.

Hi, I’m Lisa! I’ve always had a love for animals, from family pets to my rescue dog Jesse, and I enjoy caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I offer mobile pet care services including dog walking, pop-in visits, and in-home care for cats and small animals.

For dog walking, I tailor each walk to your pet’s energy and needs. Typical walks last 30–60 minutes in local parks, trails, and quiet streets around Stanley and Consett. I handle everything from calm, elderly dogs to energetic pups, and I can accommodate shy or nervous dogs with patience and positive reinforcement. I make sure each dog is exercised, happy, and safe, and I can walk multiple dogs from the same household if they are comfortable together.

During pop-in visits, I follow your instructions exactly, whether that’s feeding, giving medication, cleaning litter trays, or spending quality playtime with your pet. I’m happy to learn additional skills in pet first aid or administering medications to provide even more care and peace of mind.
