I specialise in small animals but also have experience looking after friends cats and walking friends dogs.&nbsp;
I am knowledgeable about and have personal experience caring for a range of rodents such as mice, rats, degus and hamsters, through owning them and looking after other people's pets while they're away.
I have used pawshakes myself and had great experiences with the pet sitters and I would like to provide the same great experience for you and your pets. I know how important it is to know your family is looked after when you're away, I'm happy to provide those all important photo updates as well.
Though I have most experience in rodents I am more than happy to have drop in visits for the more exotic caged animals such as hedgehogs, I have a special interest in small animal care and am willing to do research and follow closely all care requirements given to me.&nbsp;

My name is Sam. I am an experienced Pet Sitter and animal lover based in Coventry.Due to previous work commitments, I was unable to have a pet of my own, so i started pet sitting to give me my fix of furry cuddles. I have been Pet Sitting since 2017, which has been a lot of fun over the last few years. 
These days I work from home and live with my partner David in Coventry. Dave is a huge animal lover and vegan.
He works as a Chef and sometimes works late nights and occassionally needs to travel, so the animals keep me company when he is away.
We only look after one client's pet (or pets) at a time, so you don't need to worry about there being a house full of other animals. Your pet will get our full undivided attention and lots of fuss. I do not have any children. I have a large enclosed garden and a lovely large park minutes away.
We will make sure to stick to any routine they have currently. We send regular updates and photos to the owner to help them feel at ease while they are away. Some pet owners like to call and check up on their pet, this is also perfectly fine.
We will follow your instructions very precisely. Every owner has different requests and every pet has different needs. I usually make notes on the first visit and use these instructions to ensure your pet is getting the treatment and routine they are used to.
If i visit your home, it goes without saying that I will not enter any part of your house other than where I have been authorised. I have the utmost respect for you, your pets, your home and your privacy. If visiting your home, i am also happy to deal with post and water plants if this applies to you :)

I have been carrying for farm animals as a child, spendings all summer holidays in the village where my nan was living. I was helping around cows, pigs and dogs feeding , seeing them giving a birth and grow. I love small pets like mouses, rabbits and rats but at the moment living with dog Yoki and 3 gold fishes ️The area I live in, is surrounded with parks and green fields. Lots of places for dog walking. Yoki loves it. She is 10 years old, crossed frenchie, pug and staff. Very friendly and good with other dogs. My dad who lives just around the corner will take care of her if your fury baby is too shy ️
I prefer to take care of your dog at my house. I’m in most of the day. I do have fenced garden in decent size.I would like to know if your dog requires any special treatment like meds administered or if suffer with any traumas or can present difficult behaviour in certain situations. I will do my best to avoid any kind of distress. I’d make sure your dog have all activities they enjoy and need during the day. I like escapes to Peak District on the weekends so if your dog requires lots of activities, we both will enjoy it

Your dog or dogs will be cared for like they were my own,full run of the house and garden with plenty of walks and playtime. Any dog staying for an overnight stay or day care will beoffered a full bath and dry to be clean and fresh for their owners once picked up at additional cost £10 per dog. All treats and dental sticks always provided (willalways check with owners first)&nbsp;&nbsp;
Majority of Mon-Fri services will be evenings from 6pmonwards, plenty of options for dog owners that work evenings or night shifts. One Saturday per month 9-1pm I am training (dog grooming) dogs will be walked before and straight after I have to leave myhouse, maximum time dogs left 4.5 hours, this can be discussed with owner beforehand. Apart from above no dogs will ever be left for more than 2 hours on any stay.

As a self proclaimed animal lover, I can proudly say that I am the right person to look after your pet. Ever since I was young, I had great interest and affection towards all animals. I appreciate the importance of providing animals with a safe, nurturing and loving environemnt. I have completed two weeks work experience in a Veterinary hospital during my 4th year of school. Whilst on work experience, I shadowed two vet nurses and was able to scrub in on many procedures. The time spent working in the vet provided me with invaluable experience in canine care and also allowed me to further my knowledge on animal behaviour.

About me
I don't own a cat at the moment. The person I live with has an allergy, which is fine as long as I brush myself down before going back home. That is why I am unable to board cats in my home.
I'm an ex-primary school teacher so I'm a very sensible, knowledgeable and reliable person. I currently volunteer with a children's air ambulance service. Both these roles require a valid DBS police check.
