I am a very kind and caring animal lover. I grew up on a small holding farm so have experience with all sorts of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs as well as exotic and farm animals. I am passionate that animals deserve the best care possible and endeavour to do all it takes to ensure they are happy being with me whilst their owners are at work, away or on holiday.
I am currently on maternity leave following the birth of our second beautiful non fur baby, however, I should be able to accommodate requests as needed. I have always rescued dogs with complex needs so am accustomed to medication administration.
We rescued Bailey in 2019. He is a double dapple dachshund but unfortunately due to bad breeding, has been blind from birth. He had to have his right eye surgically removed due to complications and this was done when he was very young and before we rescued him. He came to me at the age of 2 after being passed from home to home. I was only meant to foster him but fell in love immediately and adopted him within the first week. He is a wonderful boy and does not let his blindness stop him from living his best life and navigating the world around him. Due to his blindness and being attacked by another dog in a previous home, he is very anxious around other dogs (particularly other males) which means I am unable to care for other dogs in our home at the moment. I’m hoping with continued support, he will overcome this in time. He has successfully adjusted to a very select handful of bitches that belong to family and friends where it has taken time to build the relationships using slow step introductions, perseverance as well as understanding and empathy towards his blindness and the previous life experiences he has faced. As it stands, the well-being of your pet as well as his health and happiness is my priority.
I am available for home visits and dog walking and am also happy to collect pets if they have favourite places to go, for example, the beach or the woods. I am available for other pet services such as transportation- it's my job to make your pet as happy as possible with the time I am given with them.
SERVICES CURRENTLY OFFERED:

  Dog walking: £12 for a 45 minute minimum walk, £5 for each additional dog.
  Home visits: £15 for a 60 minute minimum home visit, giving me time to attend to your pets needs as well as spending time with them (this can include dog walking in addition if required). £25 for two 45 minute minimum home visits.
  Light housework included if required. 

Please book through the Pawshake website - the booking fee goes towards insurance for you and me during the booking period.&nbsp;
Please note that although I am happy to travel, any travel requests that are greater than a 10 mile radius of Swaffham will be incorporated into the time dedicated to the booking. Please see the times in the "services currently offered" section above to assess if this will meet your needs if I am needing to travel.
All meet and greets/meetings to discuss the needs of your pets are exempt from any charges.
Anyone who continues to use my services will be given a loyalty discount if any future bookings are made.

About Me   My name is Alice Tufts and I am based in Shipdham and the surrounding areas. I have always been passionate about caring for all animals and I am excited to meet your beloved pets! My favourite animal is a penguin and I love visits to the zoo with sisters and my nieces. I enjoy learning facts about animals and sharing these with my nieces. I have no pets at the moment although I wish I could take home all the cats I meet at Cats Protection. My interest in animals began when I was 3 and had pet Guniea Pigs called Bubble & Squeak:). I am no stranger to unusual pets as I have had 3 pet rats over the years! I volunteer once a week at my local Cats Protection Adoption Centre, where I help with cleaning and socialising the cats.  Experience  I have studied 3 years of animal courses at Easton and Otley College, where I have learnt Animal Health and Welfare, Animal Behaviour & handling, Practical Animal Feeding and other units. I have experience with a range of animals these include; Small Animals (Rabbits, Hamsters, Chinchillas, Rats and Guinea Pigs), Reptiles (Bearded Dragons, Geckos, Chameleons, Coachroaches and Snails), Chickens, Fish, Dogs and Cats!!  Services   Dog Walking - I will be available to walk dogs twice a day and will be flexible with timings and duration of walks. Walks will be carried out in our local area.  Home Visits - I will carry out Morning, Afternoon or Evening Visits. *Morning visits will be between 9.30 Am - 12.30 pM *Afternoon visits will be between 1.30 pm-4.30 pm. * Evening Visits will be 5 pm until 6.30 pm. I am flexible other times can be arranged on an individual basis.* Please note Mondays times will vary due to my volunteering commitments.
