I am a dog owner/lover who works at an educational establishment as an Animal Care Instructor. In my day to day work I deal with rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, fish, reptiles and farm animals&nbsp;

I have 6 dogs of my own (Charlie, Mishka, Penny, Aston, Willow and Axl) and have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, reptiles and farm animals.

I also regularly compete in and judge dog shows as well as breed the very occasional litter when I am looking for another dog to join our family. I also sit on the commiteees of the Scottish Border Collie Club and the Scottish Dachshund Club.&nbsp;

I teach my students the very high standard of care I will provide to your pets.&nbsp;

I am competent with medications, elderly pets, toileting issues and all besides.&nbsp;

I  will look after your pet as if they were my own.&nbsp;

I'm a cat keeper who grew up with dogs, so very much someone from both worlds! I've spent a lot of time working with anxious animals so am happy to take on your more worried pet too. I believe that animals tell us a lot about who they are and what they need if we listen and are perceptive. I was an academic but am now a fiction author so my time is very flexible. I've been a user of Pawshake for many years now, and I'd like to give back to the community by offering up services of my own. I'm also keen to get out the house a bit more, and meet some more animal friends!
For dogs: I've grown up around and helped train lots of intelligent and tough-to-handle puppies (and not-puppies!). I understand how important it is to have firm but gentle consistent training and will use your preferred instructions when caring for your dog. I have a lot of experience with Border Collies who can be a lot and I know it can feel daunting to ask someone to walk your dog, but rest assured they'll be in good hands! I have experience with anxious dogs too, so just let me know their quirk of choice whether that's joggers, cyclists, or just seeing a really big fellow dog, and let me know if there's a way you like to calm them or a favoured treat! All dogs of any size are very welcome, and our walks will be in Queens Park or down in Linn Park.&nbsp;
For cats: I've had cats of my own for the last 15 years, all rescue and indoors, and my current cat Lily is a loving but troubled long-hair cat with anxiety, hairballs, claws that she doesn't realised are on her hands, and odd food preferences. She was very antisocial when she first came to me, but through quiet patience and just talking to her, we have become inseparable. I would love the opportunity to spend time with your cat, whether that's sitting with them quietly or playing with their least-frightening toy. For all home visits, I can feed your pet, clean out the litter tray if desired, administer medicine if shown in advance, and I will also spend at least half an hour keeping your cat company.&nbsp;


Hey! I'm Antonina, a first year Music and Psych student at the University of Glasgow and I stay in the west end, I would love to take your dog for walks. Animals have always been my biggest joy. Growing up, our house was a always filled with pets. Now that I'm at uni, I miss having them around. That's why I'm offering dog-walking services that are more than just a quick trot around the block.
the length of the walk is completely up to you. If your dog also has any preferred areas or routes I will happily take them there. I've got experience walking dogs for up to 3 hours but also as short as 10mins. It's whatever your dog needs! I'm avaiable every evening except the occasional night where i have a shift. I'm also available for morning walks most of the week E.g tues, wed, sat and Sunday. I'm flexible and easygoing so we can definitely chat more about availability if anyone needs are exceeding what is in this description.

I am a 25-year-old freelance journalist based in Glasgow Southside. When I am not writing, I’m working in a local cafe. In my spare time I weight train at the gym, paint and write poetry.&nbsp;
I have always had animals growing up, I have a dog and a cat who live at my mums house in Dumfries and Galloway who I go home and visit as often as I can, but I am severely lacking dog love in Glasgow.
My dog Rufus is a rescue, he is a Rottweiler x Lurcher and he is my best friend in the world. We adopted him in 2017 and I have loved him since the day we met. He is a gentle giant who’s still strong and energetic despite his age. He is reactive towards tractors and other large vehicles so we keep him muzzled when walking on main roads as advised by the rescue centre.&nbsp;
I love all dog breeds but large and giant breeds are my favourite. I enjoy walks in the park or the forest, but my absolute favourite place on earth is the beach.&nbsp;
I have also had fish and guinea pigs when I was younger and often pet sit for my friends with dogs and guinea pigs.&nbsp;


I have always been an animal lover, having grown up with dogs all my life and having worked at a refuge for cats and dogs in Greece run by my uncle. I have a natural affinity with animals and am very patient and caring. Having lifelong experience of looking after dogs, I am able to keep control of them during walks without resorting to shouting, and am very aware of the specific needs of different types of dog, whether that be lengths of walks or quantities of food. I have also looked after friends' cats while they've been away, and love to play with them and keep them company! I am a qualified dog groomer with first aid training. I have previously worked as a dog walker and as a dog daycare assistant for the last 7 years. I have experience with a variety of breeds from toy breeds right up to Xl.&nbsp;
I grew up on a farm and have experience handling animals from a young age.&nbsp;
My whole world revolves around dogs and my dogs mean the world to me. One of my dogs is a rescue and we went through a year of behavioural modification so I have the understanding and patience for dogs that have particular needs. I have experience with every type of dog from puppy to senior. I have devoted myself to giving my rescue dog a happy and fulfilling life, and only trust a very small handful of people with him. Hello! I am from the US (Chicago) and have recently finished my degree in Glasgow and am hoping to start pet sitting! I grew up with two dogs (a very energetic shih tzu named Zoey and a far more relaxed flat-coated retriever named Mika) and miss having them around, I'd love to enjoy time with your pet while making sure they are safe and cared for.
