I always say animals are better than humans - they are ferociously loyal, love you unconditionally and very rarely answer back! 
Hi, I'm Emilee. 
I'm a huge animal lover, having had pets my entire life, from your common family pets such as hamsters, fish, rabbits, cats and dogs to the slightly more non conventional ones like chickens, donkeys and sheep! Although I don't currently own any of my own pets as apartment living can make that tricky, I regularly visit and dog sit my very energetic, but extremely loving 16 month old black Lab puppy back at my family home. I am also best friends with my Cavapoochon cousin named Buddy who I regularly spend a week with in summer. I spent my childhood growing up with 2 pooches who are now angels, Jack the yellow Lab and Milo the Weimaraner, who gave the best cuddles, loved a treat or 2 and relished in unwrapping Xmas presents! 
Why dog walking? Although I'm lucky with having a hybrid job, it's also extremely stressful, so doesn't always mean the intensity is reduced. Office days can be back to back, out and about in the community without a minute to breathe but then when working from home, the day can pass so quickly without even having stepped foot outside. Being able to have the company of a furry friend to walk, whilst getting fresh air or popping them a visit to say hello and switching off from a busy day sounds like the perfect idea of mindfulness, whilst taking the stress off those who too have busy schedules but want to ensure their loving companion gets the TLC they deserve without any worries!
- Currently in a position to do dog walking twice a day, an early morning/ evening walk, or 2x evening walks, can up to 3 on a Sunday at times.
- Also offering 1x home visit a day, availability will be better on weekends. 
- A free meet and greet would be offered prior to service being used to help with comfortability. Vaccinated pets preferred. 

I’ve always had animals in the house, and firmly believe that a dog makes a house a home! I work full time as an ecologist, so my life is surrounded by all kinds of animals, from bats to birds to slow worms ‍ My parents’ dogs are my babies, and my partner and I are hoping to get our own dog soon. In the meantime, I’d love to help other owners care for their babies ️

About My Services

  Dog boarding and dog daycare Your dog will live in our home as part of the family.
  Dog walking We can walk your dog 1 to 2 times per day, usually 30 to 60 minutes per walk depending on their needs and energy levels.
  Medication I am comfortable administering oral medication if needed. Please provide instructions.
  Behaviour needs I’m experienced caring for rescue dogs and dogs with quirks or anxieties. This doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t help, but please share details in advance so we can plan appropriately.
  Training and grooming I do not offer formal training or grooming services. I am happy to maintain your existing routines, use your commands, and brush your dog if provided.
  How many dogs at once To ensure quality care, I only board maximum two dogs at a time (usually one). We can discuss caring for multiple dogs if from the same household.


Time and Routine
Myself and my partner both work full time, but have flexibility to work from home, meaning your dog will never be left alone for long periods.

  Boarding stays Pets will never be left alone longer than 1 hours at any one time (usually not left at all)
  Daycare Pets will not be left alone during daycare 
  We plan our day around the dog in our care, including regular walks, playtime and quiet relaxation.
  We love cuddles if they’re keen and will give them lots of attention.


Our Home 

  Myself and my partner live in a spacious house with plenty of room for dogs to relax.
  ️We have a rescue cat, so dogs must be comfortable being around cats️
  Guest dogs are typically kept downstairs during the nighttime to give them their own quiet space to settle in a new environment.If your dog would struggle with this or prefers sleeping upstairs, please let us know. We are happy to accommodate your dog’s routine.
  We have a large garden. One side of the boundary is currently unfenced. This hasn’t been a problem in the past, as we always use a lead for toilet breaks for safety.
  Dogs are welcome on furniture unless you prefer otherwise.


A Typical Day
Lots of walks, cuddles, enrichment and play. We love exploring local green spaces and adjusting activity levels to suit your dog’s needs, whether that's long walks and playtimes or cuddles and napping on the sofa!

Communication
Please tell us if your dog has:

  Specific routines, preferences or comfort needs
  Behaviour issues, reactivity or separation anxiety
  Any dietary restrictions or medications
  Particular triggers, fears or boundaries

None of this necessarily means we cannot help. It simply allows us to prepare and ensure a safe, comfortable stay for your dog.

Total animal lover who loves pets and will love your pets as if they were my own. I am happy to care for all pets from rabbits to reptiles and will look after all with love and care. With dogs I will take the lead from the pet owner and follow favourite walks or use of favourite toys. If the dogs are used to a walk at a certain time I will make myself available if possible. If they prefer company we can look at multiple walks at once or if they are a lone wolf then it's just me and the pup.&nbsp;
I will always listen to the owner and do what I think is right based on that information.&nbsp;

With cats, I will allow them to come to me. I won't intrude or be a problem. If the cat likes me, I will sit and play if not, I will feed, clean and leave. No need to disturb them and make them uneasy.&nbsp;
I have a lot of experience in looking after my own pets and family pets. I have care for many dogs, young puppies and older dogs who have had a harder time moving. I have cared for many cats, including soft cuddly cats, nervous and jumpy cats, young kittens and older cats. I have cared for cats with health condition who needed medication, adopted cats who haven't fully adapted to home life and have had each and all purring by the time I leave.
I have experience with walking dogs in all weather's and in groups or alone. I will use all of these skills to take the best care of your pets.&nbsp;

I've always loved animals, so becoming a pet sitter is a no-brainer for me. I'm used to caring for lots of different animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, snakes, turtles, lizards and more!
