Hi there, my name is Will. I am a 22-year-old university student studying medicine, and I like being around animals and nature in my free time. For example, I love walking around Fletcher Moss in Didsbury, especially in the sun.&nbsp;
I have had dog walking jobs in the past and personally have four cats back at the family home, so I have plenty of experience caring for and looking after animals. I also know that every animal is different with their own unique needs which I incorporate into my care allowing the pet to trust me. I’ve been a dog mom for as long as I can remember, growing up with two lovely dogs back home, one is 9 and the other is 7. They’ve been such a big part of my life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. From daily walks and feeding routines to just spending time with them and understanding their moods, I’ve always been very involved and attached to them.
Since I’m now studying abroad, I honestly miss them a lot. That’s a big reason why I want to do pet sitting because it gives me a chance to be around dogs again and do something I genuinely enjoy.I’m very comfortable with different dog personalities. One of my dogs is very energetic and clingy, while the other is older and much calmer, so I understand how to adjust based on their energy levels. I can offer 1 to 2 walks per day depending on your dog’s needs, usually around 15 to 30 minutes each. I always make sure walks are safe and avoid situations with dogs that seem aggressive or unpredictable.
For home visits, I typically stay around 30 minutes. During that time, I focus on feeding, playtime, giving them attention, and just keeping them company so they don’t feel alone. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions or routines you have.
I’m very patient and gentle, especially with nervous dogs. I take my time to let them get comfortable, speak softly, and create a calm environment so they feel safe around me.
I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing.
I know how much pets mean to their owners, so I would treat your dog like my own with a lot of care, attention, and love.

Hello!We are a married couple who love cats. We know how stressful it can be to leave them behind when you travel, so our goal is to keep them happy, safe, and stress-free in their own environment.
Because we work as a team of two, we can offer great reliability. While we do take our own holidays now and then, once you are booked in with us, having two of us means we have a built-in backup plan. If one of us gets held up or is under the weather, the other can step in—so your cat is never left waiting for their dinner.
Our ExperienceWe are proud "paw-rents" to Pumpkin, a rescue cat we adopted four years ago. Living with a rescue has taught us a lot about patience! We’ve learned how to read subtle body language and how to approach shy or anxious cats gently. We understand that every cat is different; some want a lap to sit on, and others prefer to be admired from a distance. We respect that.
Why we focus on catsWe decided early on to be a cat-only service. We don’t walk dogs. This is actually really important for sensitive cats because it means we won’t turn up at your house smelling like a strange dog (which can be very scary for them!). We bring a calm, quiet energy to your home.
What we do when we visitWe take our responsibility seriously. When we pop in, we will:

Sort out the food, water, and litter box cleaning.
Play with them or have a cuddle (if they are in the mood!).
Send you a photo or video update after every visit so you don't have to worry.
Help with house security: we are happy to rotate lights/curtains, pick up the post, and water plants so the house looks lived-in.

Please note: For the health of all the kitties we visit, we do require that your cat is up to date on their vaccinations.

I've grown up with pets, had both dogs and cats who I absolutely loved! My parents also currently have a young cocker spaniel, full of energy and excitement whenever I visit, so we love going for long active walks and plenty of play time!
I’m quite active myself and I enjoy going for long walks and hiking (also running and cycling), so can assure you your pet will get plenty of exercise.
I did also rescue and found home for a couple of little kittens which I was very excited about (you can see one of them in my gallery)!

I have a 3 year old cat so I cannot offer overnight stay for your pet unfortunately (unless we introduce the pets prior, to see how they get along).

Working late or away on business? Fancy a holiday or a long weekend away? As difficult as it is leaving our furry friends alone at times, finding a temporary companion shouldn’t be! The Pet Valet is a home-based pet sitting service in the Manchester area, catered to dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and more!
What do the home visits include?
Each home visit is entirely dependent on the customers’ requirements and what help their beloved pets need most, and these needs can be met by detailing them in an online or over-the-phone enquiry. However, a typical 30 minute home visit to your pet will most likely include:
•Being fed &amp; watered
•Being let out to use the toilet
•Litter tray/cage cleaning
•Fuss, playtime &amp; attention
•Short walks &amp; fresh air (Longer walks can extended for a small fee)
•Photo updates after each visit!
Who is Pet Valet MCR operated by? And who will be making my pets’ home visits?!
Pet Valet MCR is ran by owners and service facilitators, Kieron and Emily (that’s us!). We are a couple in our late 20's and have life-long experience being around animals and our love for them is immeasurable. We have particular experience working with dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs and house rabbits—but we are more than confident/comfortable to pet-sit any additional pets of a more… ‘extraordinary’ (shall we say?) species!
We are currently adopters to two RSPCA rescue house rabbits, Fran and Cooper (who aren't exactly thrilled about us working with animals other than themselves but they'll have to deal with it!).

x1 HOME VISIT: £20 for a 30 minute visit

I prefer to walk small dogs as I have always been around small dogs.
