I am very fortunate to have 2 fur-babies of my own, both spaniel-labrador mixes, so I am used to high energy dogs. I have raised both dogs through the puppy and teenage phases and understand the different approaches dogs will need throughout their life stages.&nbsp;
As a dog owner, I know how important it is to find the right dog sitter for your special furry family member, making sure that it is a good fit and giving you peace of mind. I love going to different areas for dog walks and in Devon we have so many options, from beaches to forests.&nbsp;
I love spending time with dogs and I currently pre-dominantly work from home. Having had difficulties finding a dog sitter in the past I realised that I could offer my services to people who may need a local dog sitter to complete home visits and pet sitting. I work in the health and social care sector and I know that it can be difficult when working shifts to get the support for your dog at unusual times.&nbsp;
I have a car and cover the Torquay, Paignton, Kingskerswell and Marldon area.&nbsp;
I completed my Canine First Aid Certificate in January 2024, this included canine resuscitation and choking as well as how to treat general scrapes, broken bones, etc. I also have a current DBS, for your peace of mind when I am in your home.&nbsp;
Availability
On weekdays I am usually available in the mornings between 7am and 9am. I can offer lunchtime visits between 12noon and 2pm. I am available after 5pm on weekdays.&nbsp;
On weekends I am available from 7am until 11pm.&nbsp;
Services
The services I offer are home visits and house sitting. These services involve me coming to your home to spend time with your pets (I am also experienced with cat sitting), taking your dog to the toilet outside, making sure they have access to fresh water and food (if required).&nbsp;
I understand the importance of dog training so please let me know if there are any particular behaviours or skills you are currently teaching your dog so that I can continue this work whilst I am spending time with our dog.&nbsp;
I can administer oral medication, please let me know how your dog prefers to take their medication.&nbsp;
Home Visits
Home visits are flexible. I can offer a 30 minute home visit during work hours on weekdays but I also offer longer evening and weekend visits if needed of up to 4 hours in the evening. This is so that if you are wanting to go out in the evening, you can be assured that your dog is well looked after. This can be very helpful for dogs with separation anxiety. For visits that are longer than 1 hour, a different price will be charged than the £11 stated on this profile. I can also offer longer hours at the weekend which again can be discussed around pricing.&nbsp;
During home visits I can undertake basic tasks such as watering plants, bringing in post, etc. Please let me know if there are any tasks that are required.&nbsp;
House Sitting
I offer home sitting as a service which involves me staying at your home with your pets whilst you are away. The home sitting rate includes a 24 hour session in which I will remain with your pets with constant supervision. This service includes collecting post, watering plans, taking out bins on bin day.&nbsp;
For house sitting, I will ensure your dog/s has 2 walks per day in the 24 hour period. All walks will be on the lead. Please let me know if your dog prefers to wear a harness for walking and their usual routine so that I can maintain this whilst you are away. Dog walks will total 1 hour of exercise per day. I will discuss with you where your dog’s preferred routes are in the local area.&nbsp;
When house sitting I will require access to the internet as I work remotely and will need to be able to complete my  remote work online from your home. &nbsp;
With all services, I insist on a pre-meeting before beginning any bookings to get to know you and your pets and ensure that I can meet the unique needs of your fur family. &nbsp;&nbsp;
