"Emily did a brilliant job looking after our two dogs. She came to meet them before we confirmed the booking and again to take them for a walk, and they seemed to take to her calm nature immediately. She gave us regular daily updates, which really helped put our minds at ease while we were away, and she didn’t mind putting up with all their little habits! We came home to two very happy and content doggies. We would highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a dog sitter."

"Claire has been a life saver for me; and i mean that literally. After being admitted to hospital with heart failure, Claire looked after my two elderly cats, one of whom is blind and has controlled hyperthyroidism, which enabled me to stay in the cardiology ward without worrying myself to death. She has gone above and beyond what is required of her, and has won my gratitude, and more importantly, my cat's, even the girl, who normally takes months to take to new people in her life. i would recommend Claire 100%. "Emily was our great surprise! Our regular sitter was busy, so we decided to try someone new. When we first met her, we noticed she was calm and very attentive to all the little quirks we mentioned about our dog — and about me too, since I wanted daily updates. She didn't just pay attention, she delivered more than we expected! She was so good with them that even our cat, who's social but NOT a lap cat, ended up on her lap. When we saw the picture, we knew we'd made the right choice! We told her she didn't need to walk our dog if she played with him instead, since he can be a bit difficult (still a little anti-social with other dogs). She walked him every day anyway and handled him beautifully, even in the tricky moments. And of course, we always pay close attention to how our babies are when we get back — they were calm and peaceful. Our dog even missed her afterward, just like he does whenever someone he loves leaves the house. Do yourself a favor and book Emily — your pets will thank you. "

"Kathleen is a wonderful sitter. Her kindness and calm shine through and she was thorough in all that she did during her stay. Kathleen arrived on time to the minute on her first day. Having visited prior to sitting for us, our dog was delighted to see her again as were we. She was meticulous in checking the information we’d written down and raised questions for anything we hadn’t clarified. Throughout her stay, Kathleen kept us up to date with photos of the pets and always responded quickly to messages. She was fastidious in ensuring our dog was walked in the coolest part of the day during the heatwave. Kathleen brushed our pets while she was caring for them, including daily grooming for our long-haired cat. Meal times with our pets can be frenzied and Kathleen managed this with aplomb On our return the house was super clean and tidy. We very much hope Kathleen will sit for us again."

"Diana took care of our cat Chandler doing house sitting and it has been the best experience we have had! Constant communication and you could tell Chandler had the best time with her on the pictures and videos shared. Diana is the most respectful, genuine and caring person and you can just tell she loves what she do. We are nothing but overly satisfied with this experience. Thank you Diana!"

"Natalia was a superb dog sitter in our house. She communicated with us daily sending photographs and messages about our dog which made us feel really reassured. When we returned our dog was happy and healthy and had clearly been very well looked after. Also our house was spotless with a vase of flowers! We really could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Natalia and we will definitely ask you to look after our dog again. "

Why house sitting ?

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Hemel Hempstead home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Hemel Hempstead.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Hemel Hempstead home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Pet owners book house sitting in Hemel Hempstead on Pawshake. Over 1770 pet owners in Hemel Hempstead have left a review, with an average of 4.96/5. All paid safely using Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, American Express
