Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Bardowie Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Bardowie cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Bardowie cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hello, my name is Kevin I'm 27 years old and I'm based in Glasgow's west end. I lived with my dog Burney for 8 years who was a rescue from Greece until he sadly passed away.
I'm currently working full time and wish to walk/care for pets on my days off and free time (Preferably Cats & Dogs of any size but can maybe do other pets too)
I grew up in Greece in a small town near Athens up until I was 20 where I lived with several of my family's dogs & cats which I would always help take care of with my family most of which were rescued within that small town.
I've seen countless stray dogs & cats in the streets and although we couldn't adopt every single one of them we would always try our best to help take care of & feed any animal we could find before letting them go or trying to find them a new home for them.
At some point, I had to leave Greece due to personal reasons coming over I also decided to take my dog with me who I personally rescued when I was 16 yrs old.
Home: I live in a small flat but have plenty of space for bedding to let the pet relax and sleep in i live right next to the park so i can easily take your pet to the park whenever they need to multiple times a day.
If they need certain medication diatery restrictions I can also accommodate that if you explain that to me.
I have a lot of experience with dog walking and can make sure your pet has some much needed exercise.I am also available for cat and dogsitting at your own place, either for regular visits or to stay for longer periods of time if needed.I am a good communicator, patient and caring. If you want to receive updates every often about your dog/cat that will never be a problem, and I will do my best to keep you informed so you don't have to worry at all. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a message.

I am Rosa, a friendly, mature and reliable pet parent from Edinburgh. I have loved animals my whole life and have had my own animals (two hamsters, two rabbits, fish, my rescue dog Roxy and my beloved rescue cat Sunny) as well as taking care of other's pets. I love being in the company of all types of animals and enjoy walking dogs, playing, grooming or simply spending time with them cuddling.
In terms of other experience, I have looked after my neighbours cat Sooty over the course of the last four years and am a member of Trusted Housesitters. My most recent pet sit involved looking after four cats and three dogs in Spain. As a dedicated pet parent, i know how important it is to know your pets are in the best hands and being well cared for.
As I have a cat and a dog of my own, i would not be able to take pets into my home, as it would be too unsettling for them. However, I am happy to visit or stay at your house to look after your animal(s). And i also offer dog walking services. I am very flexible and have good availability, including last minute pet sits.
Feel free to send me a text and looking forward to meeting your babies

I’m an active, outdoors-loving animal lover and dog walker in Glasgow. I’m a freelancer, manage my own schedule and love any excuse to get outside. I’m flexible with timing and can easily fit dog walks and visits to care for your pet into my day.
I live in Partick and am lucky to have the River Kelvin and Botanic Gardens on my doorstep, I'm have my own transport and am happy to travel within 3 miles of this area.
I'm available for dog walks and drop in visits to feed and play with your cats or dogs. You know your pet best so we'll discuss their likes, dislikes and needs prior to our first booking - I'm happy to drop by your place for a chat. I seek to spend an hour with your pet per booking, so I can make sure they receive the attention and company they want.
I've always owned pets - growing up with cats and then owning and training a beautiful border collie as an adult. I live in a flat right now, and whilst I do miss having my own dog I am lucky to have two brother cats. I have arranged sitting and care for them through Pawshake when I travel (and have had fabulous experiences) - so I do really appreciate the trust you place in me coming to your home and taking care of your pet.
I’m comfortable walking puppies, seniors, and everything in between, and always prioritize safety and care. I usually walk dogs who are comfortable on the lead and under 30kg - this helps me ensure we both have a secure and fun time. I'm comfortable reading dog body language, but also readily scan the environment for potential issues so they can be entirely avoided. I'm also happy to build on your dog training.
I'm very active on this site, so send me a message and let me know what you need :)

Hello, I’m Lucrezia! I'm from Italy and currently studying at the University of Glasgow. I love spending time with dogs and have extensive experience caring for them. I've grown up with dogs my whole life, and I miss spending time with my lovely dog, Iris, in Italy. I have experience looking after rottweilers, alsatians, rhodesian ridgebacks and staffordshire bull terriers, so I have a wide range of knowledge and experience with different breeds. I am comfortable looking after puppies and older dogs. I am very patient and understand that some dogs need time to adjust to a new walker. I would love the opportunity to spend time with dogs and look after them. I can take them for daily walks or for outdoor exercise in public parks such as the botanical gardens and Kelvingrove. I’m available mainly during the week, and less at the weekend as I have a part time job working in a restaurant. I can do mornings from 9am until 11am. I welcome the chance to meet the dog in advance.

Hi! I'm Emma, a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and happy in their own home while their owners are away. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision, so I always aim to provide the same level of care, attention, and respect that I would want for my own.
I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their usual routine. Whether your pet enjoys lots of playtime and interaction or prefers a quieter, more relaxed approach, I'm happy to adapt to their individual personality and needs. I take the time to build trust, ensure they feel comfortable, and provide plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while you're away.
I'm attentive to feeding schedules, fresh water, exercise, playtime, cleaning up after pets, administering simple routines, and making sure they remain happy and settled throughout my visits. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is being well cared for.
Alongside caring for your pet, I'm extremely respectful of your home. I understand how important it is to return to a clean, secure, and well-looked-after space. I'm happy to help with small household tasks such as watering plants, bringing in parcels or post, opening and closing curtains, and generally keeping everything tidy and as you left it.
I have experience caring for my own dog as well as looking after several cats for friends and family. Through this experience, I've learned the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every pet is different. Some animals are confident and social, while others need a little more time and reassurance, and I'm always happy to work at their pace.

Hi! My name is Abbie , and I have a genuine love for animals of all kinds. Becoming a pet sitter is something I’m passionate about because I enjoy creating a safe, caring, and comfortable environment for pets while their owners are away. I understand how important pets are as part of the family, and I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and attention.
I have previous experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets, including feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, and making sure they feel relaxed and loved. I am reliable, responsible, and committed to keeping pets happy and maintaining their normal routines as much as possible.
For the safety and wellbeing of all animals in my care, I only accept vaccinated pets into my home. Cleanliness, supervision, and comfort are always my priorities. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in trustworthy and caring hands!
I have 3 animals that stay with me, 2 cats (shadow and willow) and a dog (lola). The cats will mainly stay upstairs in their room, whereas, my pup lola has full rein of the downstairs! Lola is a very friendly and sociable pup who loves making new friends whether that be animal or human! She gets on great with other dogs and loves long walks and going to dog fields to run around off lead! Hi lovely pup parents!

I’m Shravya, a dedicated dog lover based just a few minutes from Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow. I moved here a 7 years ago and truly miss my six dogs back home in India, which is what inspired me to start pet sitting. Being around dogs brings me a sense of comfort and joy, and I love being able to give that same care and reassurance to pets while their owners are away.
I have over 15+ years of experience looking after dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. 7 years of experience sitting others dogs. My approach is centred around one-to-one care, ensuring each dog gets my full attention, affection, and a calm, safe environment. I can support with dog walking, daytime companionship, evening care, and overnight or holiday house sitting, always adapting to your pet’s routine and needs.
Walks are typically 30–60 minutes depending on your dog’s needs and energy levels, and I ensure they get both physical exercise and mental stimulation.1:1 care meaning I only take one dog at a time (or dogs from the same household) so your pet gets my full attention. I take time to build trust at their pace. I can also administer basic oral medication if needed.
Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I stay attentive at all times, avoid unsafe situations during walks, and in case of any concerns, I will immediately contact you and follow your preferred emergency plan.In case of any emergency, I will contact you immediately and take your pet to the nearest vet if needed, following your instructions.I work from home, which allows me to be flexible and present, so your dog will never feel alone. For safety and wellbeing, I do require that pets are up-to-date with vaccinations.I have my PVG too.
