Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Burnham Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Burnham cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Burnham cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! My name is Gabriela, I am 36 years old, my day job is being a manager a Kew Gardens and I’m an animal lover with a lifelong passion for caring for pets. I currently share my home with two wonderful cats, Sushi and Sassy, who keep me on my toes and remind me every day how special our furry companions are.

Over the years, I’ve gained plenty of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds through helping friends and family. Whether it was walking energetic dogs, administering medication, feeding routines, or simply spending quality time with pets while their owners were away, I’ve done it all—with care, love, and reliability.

Now, I’m excited to offer home visits and dog walking services through Pawshake. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved even when you can’t be there. I treat every animal as if they were my own, and I’m committed to providing trustworthy, compassionate care tailored to their needs.

I can offer daily home visits and walks for small dogs. Please message me for more info.

I have over 20 years of experience caring for animals and have grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, and a wide range of other species. My motivation for pet sitting comes from genuinely loving every kind of animal, from energetic puppies to senior companions who need patience, medication, and extra care. I have looked after every temperament and size imaginable—from tiny Chihuahuas to Great Danes—and I am confident supporting reactive, nervous, rescue, or behaviourally complex dogs. Having owned rescues myself, I understand triggers, slow introductions, and how to create a calm, reassuring environment.

I am BTEC qualified in animal management and behaviour and spent a year volunteering with exotic mammals and reptiles at a wildlife rescue. This means I am fully comfortable handling and caring for unusual or high-needs species such as meerkats, snakes, monkeys, big cats, reptiles, amphibians, tarantulas, and even farm animals. Truly, no companion is off-limits.

At the moment, I offer dog walking, home visits, and house sitting, and I tailor each booking to the pet’s personality, mobility, and routine. I can accommodate everything from gentle sniff walks to energetic hour-plus adventures, as well as medication administration and specific dietary needs. I welcome vaccinated pets and those with medical or behavioural needs, and I always prioritise safety, understanding, and comfort above all!
DBS checked and happy to provide references upon request!

I grew up on a farm in West Wales where I was surrounded not only by sheep and cows but sheep dogs and smaller house dogs as well as cats :) this is where my love for all creatures, especially dogs began.
Whilst I lived in London, I cared for many dogs, big and small, young and old. I will definitely miss my dogs but I'm looking forward to making new furry friends in Maidenhead.
I'm available to look after your dog(s) in your home, drop in on them whilst you are out and take them for walks.
I treat all dogs in my care as they were my own, making sure that they are well looked after with lots of play time, walking, cuddles and rest.
My schedule is very flexible. I am available on weekdays, weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
I always arrange a meetup before the first booking. This will ensure that your dog and I are a good fit. Meeting your dog before our first booking helps reduce anxiety, will enable us to set expectations and ensure that everyone is comfortable.
There are lots of lovely walks in & around Maidenhead for your dog to enjoy. For care in your home, I am mindful that this is your space and will respect your specific needs, requests and house rules. I am happy to travel to dog sit in your home.
I look forward to making new doggy friends in Maidenhead and further afield!

I am a massive cat lover and have loved cats pretty much my whole life. I currently have three beautiful tabby cats and have previously had 1 cat when i was very young, as well as 2 white cats during my teenage years. Owning three cats and growing up with others has provided me with a lot of hands on experience and insight into looking after cats. I am able to feed cats, change/scoop litter, administer medication, cut claws and brush cats very well. I am also able to entertain cats and play with them so they feel satisfied and stimulated. I offer 30-minute home visits, two 30-minute home visits where I can check up on your cats, as well as feed them, provide them with water, clean litter, and play with them. I primarily care for cats as I have grown up around them and am vary confident caring for them, however i can also care for smaller animals such as hamsters.

Hi! I’m Sophia, an Italian animal lover living in the UK — and I’ve always believed that a home is better with a little fur, a wagging tail or a cat judging you from across the room.
I grew up with four large dogs and countless cats, so animals have never just been pets to me; they’re family. I also have Akira, my Siberian Husky girl, who currently lives with my parents in Italy.
I am very busy working during the week but free in the weekend where I can offer dog walks, home visits and pet sitting for dogs, cats and other friendly pets. Whether your dog needs an energetic adventure, your cat prefers quiet company, or your pet simply needs someone reliable while you’re away, I’ll adapt to their personality and routine. I can provide walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles and plenty of attention.
I’m responsible, patient and attentive, but most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know every animal’s unique character. Your pet will be cared for with kindness, respect and the same attention I’d want for Akira. ️

Hi! I’m a friendly, caring and reliable pet sitter who genuinely loves animals and enjoys making sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable while their owners are away. I have over 7 years of experience caring for cats and regularly look after my friends’ Chihuahua and two cats, giving me experience with different personalities, routines and needs. I’m currently available with plenty of free time, so I can dedicate lots of attention to your pets and make sure they receive the care they deserve. I’m happy to provide feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles, walks, companionship and cleaning up after your pet. I’m comfortable caring for cats and dogs and will always follow your instructions carefully, including keeping to their usual routine. I understand that leaving your pet with someone new can feel worrying, so I’ll keep you updated and make sure you feel confident that they’re being well cared for. Every pet deserves patience, kindness and plenty of love!

Hello, I am Jaye and I was a full-time live-in dog sitter for 2 years and cared for different breeds, doing daily tasks like walking, feeding, and playing with them, which I really enjoyed!
I live by myself and I am a part-time content creator while studying part-time online, so I am basically home most of the time during the week, and could work from anywhere, having a furry buddy to hang with or go for a walk with would be really nice!
Please kindly let me know if your dog require any special treatments, such as habits, dietry, anything else to be noted, so I’d be aware.I am not able to sit dogs with special medical needs, unfortunately.
I'll keep your dogs entertained by playing with them and taking them for walks.
Paying attention to them all the time and keeping them close to me when possible :D
