Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Charvil Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Charvil cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Charvil cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi I'm Casey!I'm 24 years old and have moved to the UK from New Zealand. I have a beautiful female labradoodle back home in NZ, who I've raised and trained for 7yrs (I miss her very much) She's a medium-large sized dog, so I have plenty of experience dealing with larger animals. My parents also have two smaller King Charles who live in the same house.I'm a graphic designer and marketing professional who would love the opportunity to look after your animals!More about me... I'm passionate about the outdoors and all things adrenaline! My partner, Shaun (26), and I have been travelling Europe when we can get a break away from work. We are both interested in different cultures, exploring and meeting new people from all different backgrounds and have been in the UK for a year and a half now. Please let me know if you have any questions. Happy to chat - Casey

I have been an animal lover my whole life, growing up with dogs, cats and small animals including guinea pigs, rabbits and hamsters. I'm lucky to have my own 8 year old male cocker spaniel (neutered) who I adore. I live with my partner in Wargrave. I love walking my own dog, and have a flexible job (working from home Mon-Fri) which allows me the time to offer dog walking, pet sitting (in owners home) and pet visiting services.
I offer the following services:
· dog walking- I walk my dog in the morning (45 mins) and in the afternoon (30 mins) in the countryside around Wargrave. I would ensure your dog is kept on the lead at all times. I would require you to drop your dog to me, or I can collect if within 1 mile of Wargrave.
· pet sitting in your home- within 5 miles of Wargrave.
· pet feeding services- I will only travel up to 1 mile from Wargrave.
I treat client's pets as my own and I ensure their safety is a priority at all times. I am responsible and reliable and will ensure that you feel comfortable leaving your pet in my care. I would ask you to leave details of your vets with me in case of an emergency.

I am very experienced with looking after all types of pets; including a wide range of small animals; ranging from Rodents, Reptiles, Amphibians and Birds. I have been doing this for the past 3 years and looking to expand my business to a brand new site. I have had no issues and always aimed to deliver a 5 star service to all my clients. Making sure I am monitoring their health; especially cats with medical conditions; that require medication. If your cat(s) do require medication to be administered and/or injections; this would be covered too during the drop in visits too.
During my overnight stays; I will come to your home and stay at your home; during this period of hours; I will feed your cat(s) and small animals. Give them all love and attention. Making sure I am monitoring their health; especially cats with medical conditions; that require medication. On the last night; I will even give your property a light clean; which includes vacuuming, making sure any dirty plates are washed and put away, cleaning of the kitchen sides too etc....
My certifications include Food Hygiene, COSHS training and First Aid.
I lived in Indonesia for 7 years; caring for our family pets; which consisted of 2 Cats, 6 Guinea Pigs, A Tortoise and A Few Birds. Always gave all the pets; the highest level of care and made sure they were loved and cared for. 2 of of Guinea Pigs even had 4 babies (6 all together) so I was there helping them and made sure their babies where cared for and healthy too.

Hi! I’m Asli, an animal lover and a pet owner myself. I currently have my own cat, Maya, and I also cared for a budgie for six years, so I have long-term experience looking after different types of pets and understanding their individual routines and needs. I’m currently a university student in Reading, so my schedule is quite flexible. I’m usually available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings depending on my university timetable, and I also have good availability at weekends.
Home visits usually last around 30–45 minutes and include feeding, fresh water, litter tray or cage cleaning, playtime, cuddles and keeping your pet company. I’m also happy to water plants and bring in your mail. I can follow specific feeding and care routines carefully, and medication can be discussed in advance depending on your pet’s needs.
Dog walks are usually around 30–45 minutes, depending on the dog’s age, energy level and routine. I’m happy to walk around your local neighbourhood, nearby parks and green spaces, following any routes your dog is already comfortable with.
For house sitting, I can stay overnight and spend extended periods in your home depending on my university schedule. I will keep doors and windows securely locked, keep your keys safe, never allow visitors into your home, and carefully follow any security instructions you provide. I’ll also send regular photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy and well cared for.

As an experienced dog parent for 7 years, I know first hand the trust that goes into choosing someone to look after your beloved pet. Dogs are my absolute joy and I look after each of them like my own. Having looked after dozens of dogs of various breeds over the past year, including boarding, daycare and walking, I am 100% dedicated to giving your pet the best care and attention possible when in my care. I left the corporate world and am fully embracing being the best pet sitter possible!I trained my own calm Eurasier dog, now 7 years old from a puppy. He likes spending time with other dogs and is even calm around cats.I live by lovely nature walks and have a fully secure walled garden. Everything a dog could need for a safe, fun time. Please let me know of any requirements to give your pet the best care and attention that they need.I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you Philly

Someone home most of the day — Anja works from home as a romance novel translator and makes her own hours, so pets get plenty of company.

️ We genuinely enjoy animals — we like getting to know each pet and making sure they feel comfortable and settled.

Our lifestyle
We love a quiet, relaxed life and spend our free time exploring the countryside, visiting National Trust properties, browsing farm shops and finding cosy cafés. We especially love places where we can bring dogs along!
Because Anja works from home and has flexible hours, we’re particularly suited to pets who enjoy having someone around during the day or don’t like being left alone for long periods.
Our goal is simple: you get to enjoy your time away knowing your pets are happy, cared for and sticking to their normal routine.

I work from home for part of the week, which means I can give plenty of time, attention and care to a furry guest. I genuinely enjoy having dogs around, and pet sitting is something I do with love, not just as a job.
My daughter absolutely adores dogs, and spending time with them brings her a lot of joy.
Unfortunately, at the moment, we are not able to have a second dog permanently, so welcoming a visiting dog into our home is a wonderful solution for us. Your pet will never feel alone here — there is always someone around for cuddles, playtime and calm companionship.
I currently have a small female griffon at home, so for everyone’s comfort and safety I prefer to take small or medium-small dogs. This helps ensure a peaceful and friendly environment where all dogs feel relaxed and secure.I treat every pet as an individual, respecting their routines, habits and personality.
I’m happy to follow your instructions carefully and make sure your dog feels at home, safe and well cared for while you’re away.

Hi, my name is Raminta!
I grew up with pets who were very loved and well taken care of. I have looked after dogs, cats, parrots, and a wonderful betta fish, I've also spent time volunteering at a cat shelter. Unfortunately, I’m not able to have a pet of my own right now, which is why I would love to spend my time looking after other people’s pets. You know your pet best, so I guarantee I will follow your instructions and will immediately contact you in case there are any issues. And of course I will make sure your pet is fed, has fresh water, a clean space, and plenty of attention and playtime. I'm more than happy to provide regular photo and video updates with my service. My goal will always be to make sure your pet is safe and happy. Please feel free to contact me for a further discussion.

I’m a university student at the University of Reading studying for my Environmental Science undergraduate degree, with a genuine love for animals and their wellbeing.
Alongside my studies, I’m currently working towards my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award - nearly there! and starting this year to volunteer with Soulscape at Reading Festival, as well as being a leader with Girlguiding. These experiences have made me responsible, reliable, and confident in caring for others.I hold a recent enhanced DBS check, so you can feel assured your pet and home are in safe hands. I understand how important it is to keep pets happy, comfortable, and in their routine, and I’d love the opportunity to provide that care while also supporting myself through my studies.
Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your pet like my own. ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for at all times. offering persitting in your home, drop ins, and walks.

I am aware of a lot for work but also have a lot of free time so offering my services on an ad-hoc basis. I have my own transport so happy to come to you, within limits.I'm kind, responsible and fun whilst able to be firm when required. I am also available to look after cats and other small animals.I am currently based in central Reading. I am a keen park runner so familiar with the nearby parks. I am happy to tailor exercise to each dogs own personal requirements.
Pets are comfortable, happy and safe with me.I look forward to hearing from you.

My motivation? Dogs are the best.We can't get a dog due to work commitments, but have a cat - Hamish McGregor. Hamish has been harness trained and can do paw but won't join me for long walks. Hamish is 9kgs of pure pesonality and verMy speciality is long walks (2+ hours) with happy dogs - favourite trails include Bracknell Forest, Burnham Beeches, Thames Canal Path, Virginia Water, Windsor Great Park and Box Hill. I am always open to suggestions and recommendations from owners, especially if your dog has a favourite spot or likes access for a swim. I don't do unleashed walk but you are welcome to book a secure field as I drive and will happily take dogs in the car.Happy dogs are important so a meeting in a public space and a few park walks before we hit the trails and head out for adventures is important. I will not do a house sitting without meeting the dog before hand, and seeing the home, and understanding routine etc. Why? Trust.Building a relationship allows me to get to know your dog and ensure that your dog is happy with me.I'll always do my best to be flexible, so please get in touch in case of any questions.I have a car and can drive, so can also be flexible on location. Please let me know what your dog does and doesn't like, and if they are reactive - it's best for me to know and manage, than to find out unexpectedly.*Hamish does not like dogs, so it's not an option for us to host.
