Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Cheadle Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Cheadle cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Cheadle cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi all!
Me and my partner Chloe have a small dog walking and sitting business called Tails N Trails. We started this because we’re both huge animal lovers and wanted to provide a reliable, friendly service for our local community here in Stockport.
We know your dogs are family, and we treat them that way, whether they’re big, small, shy, or full of energy.
DBS Checked | Fully Insured | First Aid Trained Dog Walks | Drop-Ins | Pet Sitting Stockport, Hazel Grove & Surrounding Areas
We have plenty of experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Whether your pup is a high-energy walker who loves a long trek through the local trails or a shy senior who just needs a gentle leg-stretch and a bit of company, we’re happy to help.
We have two of our own crazy cocker spaniels, who love big walks and keep us on our toes!
Feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or want to get something booked in!

If I could own all the animals in the world I would! But pet sitting is the closest thing I can do instead. I have pet sit many times for my friends' dogs and cats so I have loads of experience looking after pets. I currently live with two dogs.
I have a 1 year old Samoyed who is my best friend. He's the one of the friendliest dogs I've ever met and loves to play all the time, so if your pup needs a friend to play with then I would be more than happy to slowly introduce them before we go on some walks together. For dogs, I can do home visits and take them out for dog walks and of course have big play sessions.
I work part time so I have a lot of availability to do home visits and dog walks. I also love cats and have plenty of experience looking after them so I can also do home visits for any cats. (don't worry, Bao will not be with the cats!)
I understand that your pets all have their own preferences and characteristics, so please give me all the details that are needed so that I can make their life that much more comfortable, I'm here to help as much as possible!

I don't provide home boarding or day care.

About me:I'm Stephanie, a 33 year old cat mom of 3, plus one silly little dwarf hamster. I've always loved animals, and have had many small animals when I was younger, such as hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets and chinchillas. By far my favourite has always been cats. My first cat found me when I was 16 years old, and I was lucky enough to spend the next 16 years with him. I currently have 3 cats, Andy and Peanut who travelled with me from Australia, and Jack who is from the UK. We also have a rescue hamster named Piffle who is an absolute fiend for pumpkin seeds. I am also an avid crafter who always has a million projects on the go. I love to be outdoors, going for long hikes and camping.

My experience: I've spent the past 7 years working professionally with cats, mainly split between a cat boarding facility, large animal shelter, and most recently at a rural animal rescue. I have worked with cats from all breeds, personalities, and health and beavioural issues. I have experience both professionally and personally with cats who have had diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, urinary issues, mobility issues, amongst other concerns. I can feed special diets, including supplements, and can administer various medications including insulin.

For cats and small animals, I can offer:(price includes up to 3 animals)

Home visits -I will spend between 30 min to an hour during my visit where I will clean their cage/litter trays, give fresh food and water, administer medications if needed, and most importantly offer plenty of attention, play time, and cuddles.
House sitting-I will spend my time at your residence providing fresh food and water, cleaning cages/litter trays, administering any medication, and providing lots of attention, play time, and cuddles to your beloved pets. I will also keep up with any house tidying and plant watering that’s needed.

I do have my own transport, so in case of an emergency at any time, I will be able to access a vet immediately. I am extremely patient, and know how difficult it can be for pets to have a change in their routine, so will keep a close eye on any changes whilst you're away. I know firsthand how stressful it is to leave your pet with a stranger, so I will keep you updated with texts and photos during my stay, but happy to have phone calls if needed! I completely understand the worry, so just know that your pet is in safe hands, and you can contact me any time. If you have any questions about me or my services, please send me a message :)

I am an animal lover and passionate about creating a safe space for pets and furry friends of all kinds!!
I have years of experience pet sitting for family and friends, as well as looking after my family dog Pudding, a hyper-active Jack Russell for the last 14 years! I am available for daily dog walks, pet sitting, overnight stays and check ins across Stockport and Manchester!
I am currently between full-time roles, so am available to take care of any of your wonderful pets over the spring and summer, which is the perfect time for dog walking weather! I am based in Davenport, Stockport with my partner and can travel across Greater Manchester when needed.
I am passionate about providing a safe space for all pets during my visits and walks! I also try and make the time as enjoyable as possible as well, especially for the more nervous or first-time away from family pets!
I have experience with loads of different dog breeds, from Jack Russells, Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Lurchers to Pugs. As well as experience with different cat breeds and even the odd lizard, hamster or guinea pig too!

Hi! I’m Alizeh, your friendly, big hearted animal lover with a super soft spot for kitties! 🥹 I truly believe pets bring out the very best in us, and that’s a big part of why I’m so excited about pet sitting. Even though I’m just getting started professionally, animals have always been a huge part of my life and spending time with them makes me so happy. I grew up with cats as pets and also had a parrot and some budgies.

I’m also a very proud cat mom to three adorable fluffballs! Santi, Skylar & Toby. Santi is a beautiful Bengal, and Skylar and Toby are my sweet Ragdoll babies. I’m totally obsessed with them… like, full on heart melting, snuggle loving obsessed 🫶🏻

I’m patient, gentle, reliable and super attentive to little details like routines, comfort needs, and favourite treats. Whether your kitty is playful, cuddly, shy, chatty, or a majestic little loaf, I’ll happily match their vibe and make sure they feel safe and loved.

I care for cats of all kinds. Tiny kitties, sassy kitties, clingy cuddle bugs, nervous babies and wise senior floofs. Every kitty is special to me

And don’t worry, I know how important updates are! I’m always happy to send photos and little check ins so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and cozy.

My services include:
Feeding & fresh water
Playtime & cuddles
Litter tray cleaning

When booking:

Tell me alllll about your kitty, their personality, quirks, routines, and cute habits. The more I know, the happier and comfier they’ll be!
I am happy to offer cat sitting as long as the location is easy for me to reach as I don't drive. If a taxi is needed, the additional cost will depend on your address rather than a fixed rate. Feel free to ask about this, i'm always happy to adjust the fees as needed. ️

I also offer 10% off for first 5 clients and special discounts for recurring clients so if you’re looking for a regular, loving sitter for your kitty, I’d love to be that person for you

Most importantly, I promise to care for your pet as if they were my very own. Your furry family means the world to you and they’ll mean the world to me too. I’d be honoured to look after them

For everyone’s safety, all pets must be fully vaccinated and flea free. 🫶🏻

Feel free to reach out! I can’t wait to meet your fur baby!

Hi there, my name is Will. I am a 22-year-old university student studying medicine, and I like being around animals and nature in my free time. For example, I love walking around Fletcher Moss in Didsbury, especially in the sun.
I have had dog walking jobs in the past and personally have four cats back at the family home, so I have plenty of experience caring for and looking after animals. I also know that every animal is different with their own unique needs which I incorporate into my care allowing the pet to trust me. So whether your dog wants a calm, gentle walk or a more energetic outing, I will make sure they get the care that suits them best. I'm happy for the walks to be any length of time but 30 minutes works best for me.
I can follow your preferred feeding routine as well as help your pet feel at ease if they tend to be nervous around new people. I am committed to punctuality and clear communication so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands.
I am available for dog walking, drop-in visits and overnight care, so let me know if I can be of any help.

Hey there!
I'm James, an experienced dog owner living in South Manchester. I have my own cockapoo (Gnocchi) and have experience walking other dogs before getting my own.
I often work evenings which leaves me free during the day so I'm looking to fill my time by spending it walking other people's dogs.
Happy to take your pup on long walks or home visits or dog boarding in my own home as long as they're vaccinated. I live in a house with a big back garden that's fully fenced with plenty of space to run around in.
I own my own car so if you're a little of the way I'm happy to travel within reasonable distance. Typical walks will involve parks and some play in a gated off area with or without my own dog depending on your preference. I'm comfortable walking dogs of all ages and sizes and the car has a fitted dog seat and safety harness suitable for any size of dog. Locally I have lots of green areas, including large parks and areas that are completely closed off and secure for off lead fetch.
Home visits are usually an hour long or two visits for £15.
Get in touch and tell me a bit more about your four legged friend!

I wasn't allowed to have pets as a child and always wanted one. Now, I'm sure to say hello to, and even pet (if they allow me) cats I see roaming around south manchester. A few cats even turn up at my door or window from time to time.
I have cat-sitted and walked dogs for various friends. I tend to let the pet lead in the way they want to interact, but I'm no walk-over at the same time. I like chilled-out pets as well as energetic ones. Most of all, I like petting their fur, so if that's your pet's favourite thing, I'm your guy.
I do not have the space or time to have a pet of my own currently, put i enjoy spending time with them. This would be a way to do that and earn some money.
Also, you can trust I won't judge your house.
