Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Falmer Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Falmer cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Falmer cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I’m a caring and reliable dog sitter who offers a calm, cosy home where dogs are truly treated like family. Although I’m new to professional dog sitting, I grew up with 4 Beagles from the age of five, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I’m confident with puppies, including basic training and teaching fun tricks, and I also have experience supporting senior dogs. I recently cared for my own senior dog, who I was very close to, so I’m comfortable giving medication, following routines, and providing plenty of patience and affection. I live alone in a quiet flat, which makes it a peaceful and relaxed environment for dogs who enjoy consistency and a slower pace. To help keep the space comfortable and stress-free, I’m best suited to dogs who are toilet trained and up to date with their vaccinations. While I don’t have a garden, I live directly opposite a park with plenty of green spaces just seconds away, and I love taking dogs out for walks, including trips to the beach, the park and many more. Your dog will be well looked after, gently spoiled, and surrounded by lots of love, cuddles, and thoughtful care while you’re away.

Hi, I’m Zen – a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I've had everything from affectionate staffies to gentle American bulldogs and curious cats, and I currently share my home with a lovely feline companion. While there’ve been a few pet-free years in my life, most of my adult years have included the joy and grounding that comes from having a furry friend around. Animals naturally put me at ease, and I aim to return that feeling to them — offering a calm, intuitive presence that meets them exactly where they’re at.What I offer: Dog walking – gentle or energetic, depending on your dog’s needs Home visits – feeding, playtime, litter checks, and companionship Pet care tailored to your routine – I stick to the guidance you provide Regular photo updates – so you can feel close to your pet, even while away Open to all animals – cats, dogs, small pets, and moreWhether your pet needs quiet, grounding energy or someone to keep up with their playful zoomies, I adapt naturally to whatever suits them best. I believe every animal deserves care that honours their unique personality, and I’ll do my best to ensure they feel relaxed, safe, and happy while you’re away.Let’s have a chat — I’d love to meet your companion and see how I can support you both

I’ve always been a huge animal lover and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all personalities and energy levels. Becoming a dog walker and pet sitter felt like a natural step for me, as it allows me to combine that passion with providing a reliable and caring service for pet owners. I understand how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, happy and well looked after, and I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own.
I have previous experience running my own dog walking and pet care business, where I supported a range of clients with daily walks, feeding and general care. This has given me a strong understanding of different dog behaviours, routines and the importance of building trust.
I am usually available during mornings and afternoons on weekdays, with some flexibility depending on your needs.
I offer dog walking and home visits, and I’m happy to tailor my services to suit your pet. Dog walks typically last 30–60 minutes and take place in safe, local outdoor spaces where your dog can explore and enjoy themselves. For home visits, I can stay with your pet, provide feeding, companionship and basic care, as well as help with small tasks such as watering plants and bringing in post.
I am confident administering basic medication if required, and I always prioritise your pet’s comfort and wellbeing. For safety, I only accept vaccinated pets.
My approach is calm, patient and attentive, ensuring your pet feels relaxed, happy and well cared for at all times.

I am a caring, responsible, and patient person with a genuine love for animals. I understand that pets are not “just animals” they are family members, each with their own personality, routines, and emotional needs. My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from my own experience as a very devoted cat parent. Through this, I’ve learned how important trust, consistency, and affection are for a pet’s wellbeing. I am calm, attentive, and respectful of each pet’s boundaries. I take the time to talk to them, let them approach me in their own time, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I am happy to follow specific routines, feeding schedules, and care instructions exactly as requested by the owner.i have experience caring for cats and small pets, including feeding, cleaning litter trays, providing companionship, and monitoring their behaviour and wellbeing. I am very observant and will always notice if something feels out of the ordinary.I take pet care seriously and treat every home with respect. I am reliable, tidy, and communicative, and I understand how reassuring updates are for pet owners while they are away. For everyone’s safety, I am comfortable caring only for vaccinated pets. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels loved, calm, and cared for while you’re away.️️️️I would like to do this job because I truly love cats and enjoy spending time with them. I like playing with them, giving them attention and affection, feeding them on time, and making sure they always have fresh water. I clean the litter tray regularly and follow each cat’s routine exactly as recommended by their owners.

I stay with the cats for as long as needed so they feel safe, calm, and comfortable. If a cat requires medication or treatment, I am able to administer it according to the owner’s instructions. My priority is to make every cat feel loved, relaxed, and well cared for, just like at home.

Hello! My name is Amy, I live in Brighton and have been a huge animal lover for as long as I can remember. I've been trusted to look after my friends and families pets, from hamsters to rabbits, goldfish, dogs, and lots of cats in-between! I have always enjoyed how rewarding it is to look after animals, they make me feel so happy and relaxed - I genuinely love it!I love being there for my clients, and their sweet animals alike. I have a wealth of experience with different dogs and cats. I often like to watch how they settle into their own environment, e.g. if they have a favourite spot, or if they like to be scratched behind the ears! I always hope they will see me like another member of the family so they are as happy and comfortable as possible whilst their owner is away.Long walks are my speciality! We will go on a full, new adventure around the neighbourhood, taking it at your dog's pace. There's lots of things to smell and explore, whilst heading towards large green spaces gives your dog the chance to get out and socialise in their own way. I love seeing their happy faces when they're comfortable doing their own thing! Please let me know if your dog/cat has any special requirements and if there are types of behaviour that I should be aware of, i.e. if dogs are more nervous around certain breeds/sizes of other dogs, or if they are more excited by human interaction, if they require a longer/shorter walk, or if there is a certain area to avoid in town.I look forward to hearing from you!Amy x

I am passionate about all animals and over the years owned cats, dogs, chickens, geese, hamsters, gerbils, mice, birds, chinchillas and so on…
At present we have 2 dogs, Nala, a German Shepherd is 12 years old and uses a set of nice pink wheels to help her walk which attracts a lot of attention. So I am used to dealing with disabilities with animals too. The little one, Beanie is five , a Pug/French Bulldog and Jack Russell mix is an adorable but typical velcro dog and likes to be on my lap constantly! Pictures on my profile
I truly understand the absolute importance of using someone that is reliable and trustworthy to look after your dogs. I am happy to come along and meet your pets and understand their needs before looking after them.
Happy to do any extra bits like putting down fresh water, tending to plants etc.
Please feel free to contact me for an initial meeting to discuss your pet's needs.
