Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Godalming Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Godalming cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Godalming cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Ever since I was a child, I have always loved animals and had the privilege of growing up and bonding with several beautiful pets who I adored. They have all each had a profound impact on my life and have inspired my inclination to do my bit to make the world a better place for our furry friends. My desire to become a sitter comes from caring deeply about the welfare of every animal I meet and being very excited to get to know and spend time with them, as I believe they can teach us many things about ourselves.
I am available typically mornings and afternoons, and offer home visits which will be tailored to your pet's individual needs and will include feeding, playing and grooming along with lots of cuddles! I can also administer medication if required. For dogs, I offer flexible walks between 30 minutes to 2 hours.
I have done voluntary work at a cattery and have spent a lot of time playing with, getting to know and learning about how to take care of many different kinds of cats. I feel that animals are one of the world's greatest gifts, and any time spent with them is incredibly precious.
They really are our best friends and members of our families, and every one leaves their own unique mark on your heart.

Hi my names hope I am an animal lover that's grown up with cats dogs and small animals like rabbits and hamsters. I'm currently training to become a nurse so being able to a little extra earn money whilst de-stressing looking after pets sounds like heaven to me.
I'm based just outside of Guildford in Surrey and I'm able to do drop in visits, walks and sits. I currently have one cat, Marley, that I adore. Due to Marley being nervous with other animals unfortunately I won't be able to care of other peoples pets at my own house. But she has given experience for caring for a pet that needs a little more time and patience.
I have experience for caring and walking small to large size dogs. As I currently not a driver my partner who also is animal lover and has lots of experience owning, caring for and walking dogs would be with me for dog walks and sitting. He's also an animal lover who has lots of experience of looking after dogs as he had a Labrador for 10 plus years until she passed away.

I have just graduated as a vet from the University of Surrey. I have years worth of experience owning rescue dogs with major behavioural issues as well as many different animals from a very young age so I am confident in my ability to care for someone else’s pets. As part of becoming a vet, I am dedicating my life to animals and I will treat every animal as if they are my own.
I am available on weekends/ bank holidays and for odd days of pet sitting here and there. I also have availability during Christmas and summer holidays.
Growing up, I had dogs, chickens, rabbits, Guinea pigs and turtles in my family home so I can look after many different pets if needed. I also have experience with sheep, donkeys and goats.
Services:
Pet sitting- includes dog walking, house will be cleaned on departure
- if more than 2 pets, price varies
- dogs never left alone for more than 4 hours
Dog walking
-Walks are at least 30 mins long depending on the dogs needs.
- dogs kept on lead unless they have good recall
If other animals need looking after or transporting, I can alter prices accordingly.
I understand that pets can feel very anxious when away from their owners. From owning dogs like this myself, I am confident that I will be able to comfort these dogs and provide them with a relaxing experience. Additionally I can provide for dogs requiring lots of exercise and I enjoy long dog walks or runs.
I will constantly supervise any animal that I am taking care of and I make sure that every animal is fed and exercised as needed.
I am happy to look after any breed and size of dog and am confident in prescribing any medications they may need.
I like to meet the owner and dog before sitting to make sure everything will go okay but I can also do last minute walks without a meeting if needed.

Hi there!
My name is Inès I'm a recent veterinary graduate, I'm French and Irish, love pets and I've had plenty of experience working with animals in the past! I love being outdoors and taking your pets on walks or keeping them company from the comfort of your own home and I also consider myself very responsible and a good communicator especially with pet parents so I can assure you your pets are in good hands :)
I have worked in breeding kennels with small and large dogs, and I have had plenty of experience in small animal vet practice! I used to own a rabbit but although I would love to have a dog, being at university with plenty of difficult landlords makes this very difficult :/ Being a pet sitter to me provides a flexible part time job all the while interacting with plenty of pets and owners which I always love! This also allows me from the dog walking perspective to spend more time outside seeing more of Guildford. If you as a pet owner have any specific requests with regards to your pet (giving medicines, being on/off the leash etc) I am more than happy to accommodate these!
If you have any queries please do reach out!
Best,

Hi! I’m Jolie, a Veterinary Medicine student at the University of Surrey with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats and other animals through both my studies and clinical placements.

I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit or overnight stay, I’ll treat your pets as if they were my own. I’m confident recognising normal behaviour, spotting signs that something may not be quite right, and following any care instructions carefully, including administering medication if needed.

I have grown up with dogs and currently have my own Shiba inu for 9years, so I understand different personalities, energy levels and routines. I know every pet is unique, and I always take the time to help them feel comfortable and secure.

I offer dog walking (30 or 60 minutes), drop-in visits and house sitting. During every visit I’ll make sure your pets have fresh water, meals, toilet breaks, exercise, enrichment, playtime and plenty of affection. I always follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and settled. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can relax while you’re away.
As a veterinary student, animal welfare is at the heart of everything I do. My goal is not just to look after your pet, but to give you complete peace of mind knowing they’re in safe and caring hands.

as a huge animal lover with 2 dogs of my own, i understand the importance of daily walks and mental stimulation! i also understand that life can get busy, therefore i'm here to offer a helping hand in keeping your dogs happy and healthy!! i'm very used to daily walks, feeding, and general care. I've looked after both small and large dogs and am comfortable with different personalities and energy levels!

I am attentive, careful and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so i always make sure my attention is on them, ensuring a safe and trusted experience. I am happy to stick to any routines or special instructions that you may have!

- I am happy to offer both shorter or longer walks for your dog, for up to an hour per day.

- I know how different dogs vary in sociability, but you'll know your pet best! so if you let me know where they are most comfortable walking, i will stick to your typical routes!

- As much as i enjoy the company of many dogs, to ensure their safety, i only walk 1 dog at a time

- I have experience with dogs of many temperaments, but please do let me know of any additional notes i should be aware of (for example, if they will chase after small animals like my dogs do) to limit surprises!

- (for any far advanced bookings, please message me at least a couple of months before! i am mostly flexible but this helps me be more aware)

(Currently based around Elstead/Godalming/Milford)

I’m a second-year law student at the University of Surrey with a lifelong love for dogs and a strong foundation in professional pet care. Having grown up surrounded by multiple dogs, caring for animals has always been second nature to me.

For over five years, I have worked alongside my mother, who runs a highly rated, five-star doggy daycare, boarding, and walking service, Happy Pooch. Through this experience, I’ve developed practical skills in handling dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and needs. Whether that’s energetic puppies, anxious rescues, or older dogs requiring a gentler approach.

I offer dog walking services and home visits, providing flexible care tailored to your pet’s routine. Whether your dog needs regular walks, drop-in visits for feeding and companionship, or check-ins while you’re away, I ensure they are well cared for and comfortable in their environment.

My motivation comes from a genuine enjoyment of spending time with dogs and supporting their wellbeing. I understand how important trust and consistency are, so I prioritise reliability, clear communication, and maintaining each dog’s routine as closely as possible.

For safety and wellbeing, I only accept vaccinated pets. I aim to provide attentive, responsible care that gives you confidence your dog is in safe hands.
