Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Hazel Grove Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Hazel Grove cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Hazel Grove cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, including 2 dogs of my own plus cats, small pets, and even friends' and neighbours' dogs and cats — so I’m comfortable caring for many different breeds, sizes, and temperaments.

Practical experience: At home, I help daily with feeding, fresh water, grooming, teeth brushing, nail trimming, cleaning beds/litter, and sticking to strict routines. I’ve also cared for family friends' dogs and cats while they were away — following their specific feeding times, medication instructions, and exercise rules exactly.

Handling behaviours: I stay calm and patient — great with nervous, shy, or energetic pets. For excited or pullers-on-lead, I walk slowly, use a calm voice, and reward good behaviour. If a pet seems anxious, I give them space and let them come to me rather than forcing interaction.

Walks & visits: Walks are usually 30–45 minutes — plenty of sniff time, always on lead unless told otherwise, and I adjust pace to match their energy. During home visits, I follow a clear routine: say hello → check food/water → feed if needed → play/love → clean up → update you — so nothing gets missed.

My limits: I care for maximum 2 pets at a time so every animal gets my full attention — I never rush or cut time short.

Updates: I’ll send you photos and messages during every visit or walk so you know exactly what your pet is up to — you’ll never be left wondering!

Emergencies: I stay calm, contact you immediately, and follow your instructions exactly. I keep emergency numbers handy and know to keep pets safe until help arrives.

Working with animals is my dream career — I’m reliable, trustworthy, and treat every pet exactly like my own. Available weekends, school holidays, and weekday evenings after school!

I’m Ella, I’m currently trying to live my best life. I’m an avid traveller, just returned from a 7 month trip around Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Since being a little girl, I have adored animals. We've always had family dogs, occasional cats and hamsters. I admire how much trust animals put into humans, and the love they give without question or judgement. I will always reciprocate this love!
From Dec-Jan, I will be home (with no job) so I’m looking to make a little money to put in my pot, so that I can go to New Zealand! And what better way to do it than looking after the cutest and most loving friends you could ask for!
I’m new here but I am very flexible, so I'm open to anything you need! Although I will be using public transport most of the time to save money. I’m very familiar with pet care. I currently have a 9yr old whippet called Willow, and she is incredibly friendly!
- I’m happy to walk your pet for however long you desire in your local/preferred areas!
- I will follow your pets routine as familiarity is important.
- I can meet your pet prior to service/payment if it would make you more comfortable.
- I will be available to supervise 24/7 if required as I have no other commitments.
If you have any questions about what I can offer to you, please do not hesitate to ask!

I may not have professional experience in dog sitting or walking yet, but I have had animals around me since I was born and I absolutely adore dogs and cats. I love animals and would treat your pets as if they were my own, always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I am fun, energetic, and love spending time playing with pets, taking dogs on walks, and giving animals lots of attention and affection.

I grew up with dogs and now have cats at my mum’s house, my boyfriend’s house, and my dad’s house, so I am very used to being around different animals and personalities. I understand that every pet is different, and I adapt my care depending on their age, temperament, and needs. For example, I would be patient and calm with nervous or shy pets, while more energetic pets would get lots of playtime and exercise. I can do 30–60 minute walks depending on the dog and their routine.

I am currently self-employed part-time as a hairdresser and am looking for something extra alongside it, and because I genuinely love animals and meeting new pets, this feels like the perfect role for me. I am confident handling pets and staying calm if situations become stressful or out of hand. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, treats, medication if needed, and any special care requirements.

I will keep owners updated with regular messages and photos so they always feel reassured. I stay calm and patient when dealing with behavioural changes such as nervousness, anxiety, or over-excitement, and I adapt my care to help pets feel safe and comfortable. In any emergency, I would contact the owner immediately and make sure the pet gets the care they need as quickly as possible.

I am free on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays all day. I will keep the animals on the leads to keep them safe during walks, I will make sure they are fed and worn out and have had enough exercise.

I've been an animal person since I was really young but never had a dog or cat over because mum is allergic. My husband and I adopted a rescue dog the year we were married, and it was the best thing we ever did. Since then, we've opened our homes and hearts to several rescues, fosters, and furry boarders!Rest assured, your fur baby will be pampered and spoiled at ours!
I work part-time and spend a few days of the week working from home, and my husband travels on work once or twice a week, so we are available to board most days of the week, and your pet will never be left alone!
Additionally I am VTQ certified in Advanced Pet first aid, so your pet is in safe hands, should it ever be needed.
A typical day would involve a training session first thing in the morning with some yummy treats, followed by a nice long walk outdoors, and who knows, we might even head to the nearby park!
If it's a really nice day out, we'll probably head for a nice afternoon-early evening walk before dinner, and then a nice leisurely stroll later in the night.
During the day, while indoors, there will be plenty of petting and cuddling, and lots of playing too!

I have two cats with very different personalities- one who is bold, sassy and confident and one who is shy and cuddly. This means I know how to anticipate and support your pets' needs. I'm in Stockport and happy to travel short distances locally. I have a car so easy for me to get to you. Happy to give medication and additional care as needed so you can relax on your time away knowing your pets are being well looked after. I like to do a getting to know you visit ahead of time so I can make sure I fully understand what you are looking for in your pet care. I'm more than happy to take any special requests on grooming, feeding etc and have mastered the art of entertaining and cuddling cats and other animals (a fact evidenced by me being constantly covered in cat hair). drop me a message if you'd like to chat about how I can help you!
All visits will last at least 30 mins and include me dealing with the litter tray, feeding and checking the water. Of course lots of playing too!
I'm a calm person, as a parent I am used to situations where I might need to think on my feet. in the extremely unlikely event your pet needs any medical care when I am looking after them I am able to transport them to a vet. I have two cat carriers of my own and my own car.

Howdy, fellow pups and their wonderful humans!
My name is Darren, and my delightful 8-year-old Beagle c Boston Terrier is always thrilled to make new friends. If you ever find yourself needing a loving and reliable caregiver for your precious little doggo, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Billie, along with my partner Jasmine and I, have recently made the exciting move to the UK all the way from sunny Australia. Back home, we gained extensive experience looking after the beloved dogs of our family and friends on a regular basis. Furthermore, we've also enjoyed connecting with and caring for adorable pups through various pet-sitting platforms.
Beyond simply providing a safe and comfortable environment, I'm also happy to offer additional services to cater to your dog's specific needs. Whether it's a refreshing walk in the park, an energetic romp at the dog park, or even a gentle bath to keep them looking their best, I'm here to help ensure your furry family member receives the utmost care and attention they deserve.
