Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Lightwater Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Lightwater cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Lightwater cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! My name is Eliza and I am 18 years old. I just finished college and I am now taking a gap year.
I have always loved animals, and have grown up with them. I currently have a sprocker spaniel, a cat and 2 bunnies! I have always wanted a job with animals and I think pet-sitting in my gap year will be the perfect experience that I will definitel enjoy.
I have previous pet sitting experience, which involve cat sitting and dog walking!
I would love the opportunity to care for dogs, cats and rabbits, as these are animals I already have experience caring for. I am also happy to care for other small animals, provided I am given clear instructions about their individual needs, routines and care requirements!
I can provide a range of care depending on your pet's individual needs, including feeding and providing fresh water, dog walking, providing enrichment and playtime, companionship, cleaning food/water bowls and litter areas, and maintaining their usual routines, to ensure all pets are comfortable under my care.
I undersand that every animal is different, so I take the time to learn their personality to make sure they're always happy, even with their owners absent.
Services:
I do not offer overnight house sitting.
I offer day-time house sitting at £5 an hour + £5 for a walk during this time.
One (shorter) house visit: £10 (includes feeding + cleaning, etc)
Two house visits in a day: £15
Dog walking: £10 (+£5 for extra dog)
I do not charge extra for travel!!

Hello everyone ️,
We have previously used Borrow My Doggy, and have had great success looking after many different dogs, all ages and sizes!
My partner Jamie (29) and I (Alina, 31) have always been animal lovers, having anything from dogs, cats, fishes and parrots, you name it! We especially love dogs but are unable to get one permanently ourselves at the moment as we live in an apartment, so we often look after our families pets in the meantime and we love doing so!
In terms of what we can offer, we are extremely flexible, we both work somewhat remotely, so there is always someone at home. This means we can do anything from dog walking to house pet sitting! We live in a 1 bedroom apartment currently with no access to a garden, however can take your pets out as and when needed and we also have a lovely forest near by!
We can pet sit at our home in the mornings, afternoons and evenings most days of the week, depending on our work schedules and holidays we have ourselves. We are able to do dog walks throughout the day, we have a woodland not far from where we are, where we can go out for short / long walks, however long your dog needs. 🦮
We'd love to look after your fur babies and will do so with lots of care and love! 🩵

Hi! I’m Constanza, based in Windlesham. Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Argentina in a home always surrounded by pets, so caring for dogs and cats has been part of my everyday life since I was a child.
Over the years, my family and I have had several dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities, as well as around ten cats. I’ve been involved in everything that comes with looking after them — daily walks, feeding, playing, giving them attention and company, and of course lots of cuddles! Our pets have always been part of the family, joining us on trips, days at the beach and everyday activities.
I currently live in England with our 12-year-old dog, so I also have experience caring for an older dog and understanding that senior pets may need a gentler pace, patience and a little extra attention.
Although I haven’t worked professionally as a pet sitter before, I have a lifetime of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I’m very comfortable around animals.
I offer dog walking and home visits for both dogs and cats. Visits can include feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles, litter tray cleaning for cats, and keeping your pet company. I’m always happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and any specific instructions you have.
I’m based in Windlesham and can cover nearby areas, with flexible availability during weekdays and some weekends.
Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog or cat with the same care, patience and affection I’ve always given my own pets.

I am very friendly with pets as I own 2 myself. I know how to treat and maintain pets.
I would consider myself to be very effective and helpful when it comes to dealing with energetic dogs and cats. I also have a lot of space and a very large garden where they can run around and have a lot of freedom.
I am at home 80% of the time so we will always be watchful of the pets and I already have pet sit before multiple times for many different clients. Their pets are always very happy to see me and always feel extremely welcome when I take care of them.
I have a very flexible time table and I am able to drive to a clients house at anytime to feed or watch over the pets while the client is out or doing something.
I am also available at almost any time.

Hi,
My name is Jess and have had cats, dogs, chinchillas for pets. I've moved from Singapore to the UK back in 2020 with my old pup Black Jack in tow.We lost him recently due to old age at 18 years old and I miss our walks, him riding shotgun in the car and hanging out.
In Singapore, I was very much involved in the local rescue and re-home / trap neuter and release programs.
Having cared for senior dogs and cats, I'm capable of doing subcutaneous drips, medication, walks, basic grooming like baths, nails and paw pad trims.
I live in an Edwardian house with my family with beautiful grounds, just down the road from Virginia Waters.
I'm available to help with caring for your pets in my home or dropping in to visit yours and walking dogs.
My son attends a school in Winkfield so for drop in visits / walks during term time, I will be available from 9am - 3pm on weekdays and flexibleon weekends and during school holidays.
Pets must be non-aggressive and up to date on shots and Frontline / Revolution (or any other tick / flea control).
I will come by to meet you and your pet before the start of any job so make sure we are a good fit and I understand completely what needs to be done whilst you are away.
Regards,
Jess
