Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Litherland Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Litherland cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Litherland cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi there my name is Lou 🫶🏽From a young age, I've been completely captivated by animals – a passion that started with my childhood companions, mostly dogs, and has only grown stronger. You could always find me surrounded by furry friends, and that hasn't changed a bit! Giving back to local rescue centers and supporting animal shelters is incredibly important to me. And then there's Akilia, my truly special 5-month-old Staffie pup, who holds a huge piece of my heart. She's a playful, active pup who loves meeting new dogs and enjoys their company, always showing off her commands and new skills. But after all that fun, she loves to cuddle up for a nap too!

Unlock a world of tail-wagging joy for your furry friend! As an experienced dog sitter with a Level 3 Canine Care Diploma, I offer daycare and boarding that goes beyond the basics. Imagine your dog enjoying personalized exercise, endless affection, and attentive care in a spacious, dog-friendly home with a big yard.My services include fun-filled day visits with customized feeding schedules, playful activities, cozy cuddles, and timely toilet breaks. Plus, I provide home-style boarding in a comfortable environment (only for dogs who play well with others), and tailored dog walks to suit their individual needs. I specialize in creating custom care plans, including expert attention for senior dogs and those requiring medication. Because every pet deserves a little extra, they'll receive a special Liverpool-themed treat and daily photo updates to keep you in the loop! I also work from home so your fur baby will always have someone there with them 🫶🏽

I am available for last-minute bookings if needed ️
Can't wait to hear from you

Hi, I’m Steph
I have over 20 years of experience caring for cats, along with qualifications in Animal Care, Pet First Aid, and a Diploma in Feline Behaviour and Psychology. I am also experienced in administering medication where required, so you can feel confident your cat is in safe and knowledgeable hands.
I offer calm, reliable home visits so your cat can stay comfortable in their own environment while you’re away. Each visit includes feeding, fresh water, litter cleaning, and plenty of fuss and attention tailored to your cat’s personality. I also provide daily updates with photos and videos, so you can feel reassured that your cat is happy and well cared for.
I understand that every cat is different, and I always take the time to build trust—especially with shy or nervous cats. My aim is to keep your cat’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away.
I take great pride in providing a professional, reliable service and treating every cat as if they were my own ”

Being a dog owner for my whole life I have a love and passion for dogs. I love walking and would love a companion to join me whilst helping someone out who may not be able to do that before going off to university in September. I have just finished my A levels so I am free all day. Every day. I will treat your dog like my own. I have a crazy cocker spaniel at home and grew up with collies and labs so have had my fair share of experience and would consider myself trustworthy around your dog.
When I am in University, I am a volunteer dog walker for people who cannot walk their dogs because of medical issues or age.
As for walking I am happy to take your dog for as short or as long of a walk as you please as I say I am free most days all day and will work my life around your needed dog walks

Your Cat’s Soft-Hearted Second Human Cats have always found their way into my life in the most unexpected and beautiful ways. Back in Bangladesh, I was part of a foster and rescue network connected with an animal lover group in Sylhet. Many stray, abandoned, injured, orphaned, and special-needs cats were brought to me for temporary care; especially tiny kittens, anxious cats, and injured rescues who needed patience, warmth, and gentle handling. That journey is how I found my own cat, Zizi. He was only a few days old when he was rescued after being brutally injured. Caring for him through recovery created a bond that changed my life completely. Later, another rescue cat named Trumpy came into our lives after being abandoned because of a nerve condition. When he was diagnosed with FIP, we stayed beside him throughout his 90-day treatment journey with hope and patience. Alhamdulillah, he survived and became one of the first recorded FIP survivors in Sylhet, Bangladesh.Because of these experiences, many local cat owners trusted me whenever they needed help during short trips or emergencies. I became comfortable caring for different personalities, from playful kittens to shy, anxious, traumatised, or medically sensitive cats.I always try to build trust slowly and gently, never forcing interaction. I usually use toys, treats, soft play, calm energy, and catnip to help nervous cats feel safe and relaxed. Over time, even the shyest cats usually become attached to me.As a sitter, I will always treat your cat with genuine care, patience, and affection - not simply as a job, but as a little soul that deserves love, safety, and understanding while you are away. I am also happy to follow feeding schedules, medication routines, special instructions, and provide regular photo/video updates for your peace of mind. If you are looking for someone soft-hearted, trustworthy, and genuinely caring for your furry family member, I would be very happy to help. 🤎P.S. My availability is before 10am and after 4pm. I would prefer home visits at your house.
