Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Loughton Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Loughton cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Loughton cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I have years of experience working with cats and dogs, originally gained through caring for the pets of friends and family who trusted me with their companions. That foundation has grown into a genuine passion, and I’m committed to providing attentive, reliable care for every pet in my care.
Because I’m home often, I can devote most of my day to caring for your fur babies. They’ll be welcomed, accommodated, and treated with the same love and comfort they enjoy in their own home.
My terraced home includes a safe, enclosed garden, offering your pet the perfect mix of indoor comfort and outdoor freedom. The house is spacious, tidy, and pet-friendly, with no hazardous items within reach so you can feel confident they’re in a secure environment.
To ensure your fur baby gets the best care, please share any special needs, behaviours, or important details I should know about. Understanding their natural habits helps me support them properly.
A short summary of their daily routine is also very helpful, so I can make their time with me feel just like home.
For everyone’s well-being, I ask that all pets are fleaed and wormed at least 3 days before their booking.
Your pet will enjoy a balance of mental and physical enrichment while staying with me. From fun games at home to exploring new scents around the neighbourhood and visiting our lovely nearby park, there’s always something to keep them happy and engaged. With plenty of green space surrounding my home, it’s the perfect environment for curious, active pets.

Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Italy, I was surrounded by dogs, including two German Shepherds and later a rescue dog who became a beloved member of our family for 17 wonderful years. Those experiences taught me just how much love, loyalty, and companionship dogs bring into our lives.
After moving to the UK over 12 years ago, my passion for dogs never faded. What started as helping friends with dog sitting and walking eventually led me to create my own pet care business. Today, I provide doggy daycare, boarding, walks, and home visits, caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities.
A few years ago, I also rescued a dog from a shelter in Italy, which reinforced my belief that every dog deserves patience, kindness, and individual care.
When your dog stays with me, they become part of the family. Whether they love long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I tailor my care to their needs. My aim is always to provide a safe, loving, home-from-home environment where your dog feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away, giving you complete peace of mind.

Hi! My name is Kate and while I'm new to this app, I'm no stranger to catsitting. I've had cats in the family home since I was 11 years old. I love looking after them for friends, family.. friends of family.. you get the picture.
I've looked after cats, rabbits and fish - a combination of popping over for feeds and play, and staying in homes for up to 2 weeks. I keep cages and litter boxes sparkly clean and always end up staying longer than I mean to to hang out with your fur children. I’m based in Loughton and prefer to stay local, so please do recommend me to your pals if you’re happy with what I provide ️
What else? I'll happily update you with photos and videos! I’ve been praised for how communicative I am. I’m fine to administer medication and above all, be there for as long as you need.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally. I have trained and worked as a veterinary nurse, which gave me lots of valuable skills in animal health, wellbeing, and safety. I’ve also spent time working at an animal sanctuary, caring for a wide range of animals with different needs and personalities. These experiences taught me not only how to provide proper care, but also how to build trust and create a calm, positive environment for every animal. At home, I’m a proud pet owner myself, so I understand just how important it is to find someone reliable, compassionate, and attentive to look after your furry family members. As a pet sitter, I bring patience, responsibility, and plenty of affection. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or simply companionship, I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away.

Hello
My name is Charlotte, I'm 32 and I work as an online English Teacher. Since I started working remotely, I have also spent a lot of time doing house and pet sitting, so I have a lot of experience looking after pets (particularly dogs and cats) in your home. During house sits, I am responsible for all feeds, overnight care, walking dogs, changing litter trays for cats, and of course lots of attention and play time! I have been doing this nearly full time over the past year.
I love animals and I have experience with pets, particularly dogs and small animals. I grew up with a dog, and absolutely loved growing up with a pet and having animals around. I don't currently have any pets of my own, so I love to spend time with animals when I can. I also had small pets growing up such as Guinea pigs and hamsters, so I am also comfortable being around smaller animals.
I look forward to hearing from you! Please feel free to reach out and ask any questions about me.

I am dependable and trustworthy and have had cats my whole life (including the shy hiders under the bed to violent bullys) and I've loved them all! I have experience in everything from being a hugger and feeder to giving medication. I have also been in a situation where one of my cats had explosive diarrhoea where I had to not only keep her separate from the other cat but I also had to clean her up and the unfortunate mess as well.I am currently at a performing arts college 5 days a week but am still happy to pop in and see your cats and give them my time while you are away from home. During term time I can offer a 15 minute morning visit for the essential feeding and morning cuddles and then in the evening a 30-45 minute visit for feeding, cuddles and playtime. I am also happy to clean litter trays as required. During the summer especially I have greater flexibility where I can offer more visits if required during the day. I am drawn to cat sitting as it is a flexible option for both me and the cat family. I love meeting new cats and am happy to meet in advance to put your mind at ease that you are leaving your precious pets in safe hands. With shy or nervous cats I would get on the floor with a treat or two and try to coax them to come to me in their own time. I am a very hardworking and responsible person and feel I can create a real connection with cats leaving you secure with the knowledge that they will be in safe hands with me. I will also send pictures and videos daily to you via the method you request. In terms of home security you can be assured that I follow instructions around alarms / locks to the letter, and have had lots of experience in this and looking after family pets while relatives are away. In case of emergency I would follow any instructions you have given but also will use my initiative to call an emergency vet for help if needed. i am also comfortable in administering any medication that your cat takes or following any set procedures for their health. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
