Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly North Baddesley Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our North Baddesley cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our North Baddesley cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! I’m a 21-year-old student with a genuine love for animals. I’ve grown up caring for a wide variety of pets, including some more exotic animals, which has given me plenty of experience understanding different personalities, needs and routines. I’m responsible, caring and patient, and I always make sure animals feel comfortable and well looked after.Having a very young tortoise myself I very well understand how stressful it is to be a pet owner without constant updates on how your pet is doing. And so with this in mind I will always give very frequent updates for peace of mind!I offer dog walking (typically for 30 minutes or so however this can be longer or shorter as needed, I'm flexible!), feeding, playtime, pet sitting and house sitting. I’m happy to look after your pets in their own home while you’re away, as I know that staying somewhere familiar can help pets feel much more relaxed. I’m also happy to take dogs on walks, give them plenty of attention and follow any routines or instructions you normally have in place.I’m passionate about pet sitting because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love getting to know their individual personalities. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets when you’re away, so my aim is to give them lots of care, attention and companionship while giving you peace of mind that they’re in safe hands.

I have been a dog walker and pet sitter for two years and a dog owner for the last twenty years. I currently have a cat, a dog, gerbils and fish. I provide trusted, loving care for your pets when you can’t be there. Whether you need daily dog walks, drop-in visits, holiday pet sitting or vet visits I'm here to keep your pets happy, healthy, and safe. I am able to travel with my own transport and can provide a schedule to suit you and your pet. I have also completed a course on pet welfare and first aid.
I know every pet is unique, which is why I tailor each visit to their individual needs—whether that’s extra playtime, a slow stroll for senior dogs, or cuddles on the couch. With real-time updates, flexible scheduling, and a genuine love for animals, I offer peace of mind for busy pet parents.
My goal is simple: to treat your pets like family and build lasting relationships based on trust.
Let me be your pet’s new best friend—because they deserve the very best when you’re away.

Hi! I’m a passionate and reliable pet carer who understands that your pets are family. Whether you’re at work, away for the day, or on holiday, my goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away, giving you complete peace of mind.
My love for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve spent years caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal as an individual. Through my own experience, I’ve learned how important patience, consistency, and understanding are when caring for pets, whether they’re playful and confident or a little more reserved. I understand that every animal communicates differently, and I take the time to recognise their body language, respect their boundaries, and build trust at their own pace. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a pet relax, enjoy themselves, and feel safe in my care, and I’m committed to treating every animal as if they were one of my own.
I offer dog sitting, cat sitting, pop-in visits, and dog walking for pets of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments. Every pet is different, so I take the time to get to know their individual personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet is full of confidence and energy or a little shy, nervous, or anxious, I’ll always work at their pace. I believe trust is earned, so I use calm, patient, positive interactions to help every pet feel comfortable and secure.
During pop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, stick to their usual feeding routine, provide toilet breaks or clean litter trays, and spend quality time with them through play, enrichment, cuddles (if they enjoy them!), or simply quiet company. I know how important routine is for animals, so I always do my best to keep things as familiar as possible. I’ll also send regular updates and photos, so you can see how your furry friend is getting on.
My dog walks are tailored to suit each dog’s individual needs. Whether they love a relaxed sniff-filled stroll, need plenty of exercise to burn off energy, or benefit from slower walks due to age or health, I’ll make sure every walk is enjoyable, enriching, and, above all, safe. I’ll always pay close attention to our surroundings and adapt the walk to your dog’s confidence, behaviour, and comfort.
If you have more than one dog, their safety will always come first. Before walking them together, I’ll assess whether they’re comfortable and manageable as a pair or group. If I feel it’s safer or less stressful for them to be walked separately, I’ll always do so. During home visits, I’ll make sure each pet gets the attention they deserve, supervise interactions where needed, and ensure feeding, medication, and routines are followed carefully so everyone stays happy and relaxed.
I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I never take that responsibility lightly. I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and kindness that I would my own, making sure they feel cared for, comfortable, and loved every step of the way.
I’d love to arrange a meet and greet before your booking so we can get to know each other, chat about your pet’s routine, and make sure everyone feels happy and confident. I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets!

Hi my name is Michelle, I have owned a variety of animals throughout my life, which include, cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, birds and chickens, tortoise.
I work full time as a support worker and healing practitioner. I am also a life coach.
I spend my free time with my three cats and chickens. Animals have always been a big part of my life. Animals have always been drawn to me, cats especially.
I live in the Maybush part of Southampton. I do drive therefore, I would be prepared to travel a little out of my area if needed.
I hold a level 3 animal care diploma and I have experience in rescue animals. I am also DBS checked.
I would undertake feeding and spending time with your pet and showing them love and affection. I would take you dog out for walks and treat them with the upmost repect, like my own. I would feed your fish and water your plants also if you would need me to.
I also would care for unvaccinated pets.
I look forward to meeting you and caring for your pets.

I've been a dog walker for 3 years and a pet sitter for 2 years. As a dog walker I walk different breeds and sizes and know how to deal with each dog as an individual. I'm experienced with rescue dogs and have 2 of my own. I offer a dog sitting service in your dogs home environment so they feel safe and comfortable. I'm trustworthy and have experience in pet sitting my dog walking clients. I also have plenty of experience with dogs of all ages and can adapt the day to meet the individual dogs needs. If your dog has a routine that you would like me to stick to I am happy to follow that. Due to me being a full time dog walker I can only do pet sitting if you are within my area. I cover Bassett, Highfield, Chilworth, Shirley & Lordswood. I am mostly available weekend and can also be available during the holidays if booked with me in advance.

I recently moved to Southampton to start my Medicine degree, and I am very much missing my dogs (and cats and family) back at home. At home, I have two miniature dachshunds, Otto and Rudi, and three cats, Severin, Bill, and Kiki.
I would like to do more walking to explore Southampton, and I thought that combining it with meeting some new dogs would be perfect! I am experienced with walking my own dogs, who are both miniature dachshunds, as well as a pointer belonging to a family member. I don't have much experience with other dog breeds, but I am excited to gain experience and learn!
I am looking for pet owners just needing a bit of help taking their dog for a walk - I will take your dog for a 30 minute to 1 hour walk in Southampton. I can't drive, so it would need to be a walk local to you, such as on Southampton common if that is suitable. I prefer dogs that are friendly, but am happy to work with anxious dogs if they will become friendly once they get used to me.

I provide calming energy for the most stressful of pets and will always respectfully and responsibly carry out the schedule your pets are used to. I have over 40 years experience and am an excellent communicator, caring and loving and will keep you updated per your needs. I have been petsitting for about 2 years. Always follow owners routines. I am happy looking after most dogs and cats in homeowners homes as well as small pets and birds. Taking them for walks, playing and interacting with them and administering medicine where required. Am ok for them sleeping on my bed if that's what they're used to. Whether keeping in touch with pet parents is a textmessage or combination of text and photos - it's all about what you and your pets want and need. The photos do not show much of me as it's hard to take a photo of me and the pet as I am on my own caring for them. Taking care of the home is just as important to ensure your pets feel safe maintaining their routines. I am happy to look after multiple pets. Also offer extended sits. (Both at additional charges). Please feel free to message or call with any questions you may have. I don't consider what I do as work - I love spending time with animals x

Hello! I’m Suki.
I’m 53 years old and currently working as a Domestic Cleaner at Southampton General Hospital, where I follow strict hygiene standards every day. Alongside this, I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with many years of cat care experience.

I raised Gigi, a British Shorthair, from age 2 until she passed peacefully at 16, and now care for Ngau Ngau, my 13-year-old rescue cat. I’ve also helped look after my sister’s four cats while she was away on business, so I’m confident with cats of different ages and personalities.

For peace of mind, I hold a Standard DBS Check and I’m certified in Pet First Aid and Emergency Care. I’m also happy to water plants and keep your home tidy while you’re away.

If you’re looking for someone caring, trustworthy, and experienced, I’d love to meet you and your pet.
What I offer:
• Daily home visits (including longer stays over 1 hour)
• Feeding, fresh water, and cleaning litter trays
• Playtime, cuddles, and companionship
• Plant watering and bringing in mail (I enjoy gardening!)
• Regular updates and photos so you feel reassured
• Flexible schedule to fit your needs
• Loving, respectful, and attentive care for your cats

Animals have been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has become both my passion and my purpose. I specialise in supporting nervous, senior, and rescue dogs—the ones who need a little extra patience, understanding, and calm. There’s nothing more rewarding to me than watching a worried dog slowly relax, build trust, and start to feel safe in their own time.I run Tanya’s Tails Aplenty, a welfare‑first pet care service based in Romsey, where I offer gentle, structured walks, drop‑ins, and tailored support for dogs who thrive in quieter environments. I’m Canine First Aid trained, experienced with multi‑dog households, and confident with dogs who have anxiety, medical needs, or complex backgrounds.Alongside pet care, I design and make welfare‑focused dog accessories, which has strengthened my understanding of canine comfort, body language, and safe handling.I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely invested in every animal I look after. Your dog will always be treated with patience, respect, and the same kindness I give my own. My goal is simple: to help your pet feel secure, understood, and happy while you’re away.
