Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Nottingham Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Nottingham cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Nottingham cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hello!
I’m a caring, reliable pet sitter and dog walker with over 20 years of hands-on experience looking after animals. Pets have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve grown up surrounded by them, and I currently have three wonderful dogs of my own. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, as well as cats and other small animals, so I’m confident handling everything from energetic puppies to older pets who need a gentler approach.

My experience has given me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, routines, and individual needs. I prioritise safety at all times and stay calm and responsive in unexpected situations, so you can trust your pets are in capable hands should anything arise. I’m attentive to detail, follow care instructions closely, and always make your pet’s wellbeing my top priority.

I offer flexible dog walking services, including 30- and 60-minute walks tailored to your dog’s energy level and personality. Whether your pup enjoys a lively walk or a relaxed stroll, I’ll make sure they get the right balance of exercise and attention.
I also provide in-home pet care, including dog sitting with playtime, feeding, and companionship to keep your pets happy and comfortable in their own environment. For cats, I offer feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, and gentle check-ins to keep them content while you’re away.

I’m available day-to-day and offer a flexible routine to suit your schedule, whether you need regular bookings or occasional help.

My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your pets are being cared for with kindness, experience, and professionalism.

Feel free to get in touch—I’d love to meet you and your furry friends!

I have spent my whole life surrounded by dogs, always having a family pet dog and cat. As soon as I got my own place Filbert came along. Our handsome boy is so loving, friendly and most important social!
I have enjoyed day care and boarding for years, starting with family and friends which has built up to a regular boarding business. I love nothing more than having a busy household full of all different Paws and can’t wait to welcome your pet into our home!
Pet care is now my full-time life! Whether it's dropping in to let them out, or taking them for a nice walk - this can be straight from home or taken to their favourite place to see the grass and trees. I am here to help. I am lucky enough to have a huge country park near me, perfect for stretching alls legs.

Heya,
My name is Chloe, I'm 27 and I've recently moved in Nottingham. I love dogs so much, I always have since I was little ! I grew up with mine who's still back home and recently was living with my friends who have a beautiful golden retriever (as you can see in my profile picture hehe). But since they moved, I find myself in dog withdrawal and would love to take care of your little ones and help out !
I am happy to do visits, walks and housesits whenever I'm available. My rota and days off do change quite a bit every week at the moment but I'm free in the evenings after 6. Please do get in touch with me if you require specific dates and I'll try to accommodate :)
I have taken care of my own dog throughout my teen years, and have had my friends's dog over for housesitting many times ! I love to go for long walks and play with my pets to make sure they are engaged and stimulated.
I am looking forward to hearing from anyone who's in need of my services and promise the highest level of care for all your furry friends :)

PS: Please only make an enquiry if you live in Nottingham (city centre or area accessible with the tram/buses) as I don't drive and wouldn't be able to get to you otherwise!

Hi, my name is Wiktoria and I am a huge animal lover. My ultimate dream is to live on a farm.
I have been around cats, dogs, rodents and fish for majority of my life.
I do have a fear of spiders and snakes so I would not handle them however, I would be okay with feeding them.
I have my own little cat called Enzo, he is always by my side (sleeping on me as I type). He enjoys plenty of cuddles and his favourite game is fetch.
I do ensure that I follow all instructions given by the owners. In the past I have taken care of animals that understood commands in other languages which has never an issue and we always had a great time. I am more than happy to complete any small jobs such as bringing the post in, taking the bin in and out or watering the plants.
I am okay with picking up or cleaning poop. I have no issues with dog walking. I am fine with cleaning cages and aquariums - as long as it does not belong to a snake or a spider.
I do like to have a lot of play time with animals and I am not afraid of a bit of a scratch or bite.
I can do an occasional overnight stay however, I do have to consider by own furry family member.
I can do multiple visits a day as I only work 9-4.30pm Monday to Friday. I am happy to stay for a while with your pet and ensuring that they get quality of time and attention.
Unfortunately I do not offer any animals to stay at my house to ensure my own pet has a stress free home environment.

I’m passionate about giving pets the care, attention, and love they deserve while their humans are away. I’ve worked at a busy doggy daycare that also offered grooming and training, so I’ve learned a lot about dog behavior, social interactions, and managing different personalities including play and resource guarding. I’ve also administered medications, fed dogs on schedule, and kept kennels clean and safe, so I’m comfortable with all aspects of pet care. I love observing each pet’s personality and making sure they feel happy, secure, and engaged. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or just some quiet company, I aim to give every animal a positive and stress-free experience. My approach combines professionalism with genuine care observing each animal, supporting their well-being, and adapting to their personality and behavior. I don’t host pets in my home, so vaccination requirements for visiting pets don’t apply, but I always ensure the highest standards of care during interactions and outings.

As a dog owner of 2 chihuahuas (one is 10 and the other is 20) I value the importance of how hard it is to find people that click with them and that it's not a rushed process....like people we all have our levels of being socially comfortable around others so i like to let amimals go at their own pace to become buddies with me.
I've grown up and looked after lots of creatures from Lizards, rats, Chinchillas, scorpians and toads...i was proudly the guinea pig catcher at junior school too
I love all sizes and breeds of dogs but I feel my strength is with smaller dogs and understand the importance of keeping a close eye on them when taking them for walks out and about...the world is a big place for them!

I love taking pictures and giving updates when pet sitting cats and dogs for friends in the past. I enjoy a cuddle with a moggy too and have alot of good energy to share. I'm also a light sleeper so if you needed a house sitter my ears are as keen as a chihuahuas.

Speaking from experience having the reassurance in a pet sitter is something that you never realise you need until it's time to take a trip or spend a long day at work.
Dogs are legends an cats have the magic of calm energy...all creatures are epic! So if you'd like some help and to put your mind at rest let me know how I can help :)

I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family that truly loves and rescues animals, and our home was always full of dogs and cats who needed care, patience and kindness.

I currently have two cats of my own, one of whom was rescued from the street and is now a happy, confident little soul. I understand how important it is to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is safe, comfortable and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

I’m calm, attentive and respectful of every pet’s unique personality whether they’re playful, shy, senior, or need a little extra reassurance. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions regarding feeding, medication, routines and playtime.

During each visit, I provide fresh food and water, litter cleaning, enrichment and plenty of gentle interaction. I can also send regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

Your pet will be treated with the same level of care, patience and love as my own.

Hi my name is Aimée I'm 26 and a huge animal lover. I havery grown up around dogs and have even looked after 6 huskies in one house!
I have two dogs of my own, a beagle and a Shiba Inu and I'm always excited to meet a new pooch! My dogs are my life and my family so I understand how an owner feels about their animals. I want to provide you with the confidence and relief that your fur friend is in the best care they can be in.
Dogs gravitate to me and I gravitate to dogs. I understand them and am always making them my top priority! If you choose me to look after Or walk your dog they will be in the best care they can receive!
if you have any questions about myself, please feel free to drop me a message! I can't wait to hear from you and meet your gorgeous pooch!

I'm Lucy and the proud owner of 2 loveable pugs, George and Yoko who are 3 years old. I'm offering dog walking and sitting for people in my local area on weekday evenings and weekends.
I work full time during the week on the commercial team of a large, clinical drug research company, so I know how helpful it is when someone can lend dog owners a hand!
Depending on the size of your dog, I can take him/her out alone or with George and Yoko. I'm happy to do dog sitting at my house or at yours to give your dog some care and attention, plus some fun!
George and Yoko are neutered/spayed and up to date on vaccines.
I have a son who is 11 and a daughter who is 13 and they are happy to help out, too. They love George and Yoko (their canine sibings!) and would love to help out with other dogs, too.
I'm available for dog walking (30 mins) and dog sitting at pet owner's home (30 mins).
