Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Ottershaw Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Ottershaw cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Ottershaw cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Reliable, Friendly Pet Sitter Providing Loving Care for Your Pets
As a genuine animal lover, I understand that every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether you’re at work, on holiday, or simply need an extra helping hand, I’m committed to providing reliable, compassionate care that keeps your pets happy in their own familiar environment.
I offer dependable pet sitting, home visits, feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, litter tray cleaning, medication (where required), and regular updates with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in safe hands. I treat every animal as if they were my own, taking the time to understand their individual personality, routine, and needs.
From playful kittens and senior cats to energetic dogs and small pets, I pride myself on being patient, trustworthy, and attentive. My goal is to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners by providing a professional, caring service you can rely on. Your pet’s happiness, comfort, and wellbeing will always be my highest priority.

Every pet is unique, so I always tailor my care to their normal routine. I aim to keep feeding times, walks, playtime, and rest periods as close as possible to what they’re used to, helping them feel relaxed and secure while you’re away.

For dogs, walks typically last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on their age, fitness, breed, and your preferences. I’m also happy to provide shorter walks for puppies or senior dogs, as well as longer adventures for energetic breeds. Along with walks, I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and mental stimulation throughout the day.

I understand that many pets don’t like being left alone for long periods. When providing pet sitting, I minimise the time they are left by planning my schedule carefully and following your pet’s individual needs. I’ll always discuss expectations with you beforehand so you know exactly what to expect.

I’m experienced in managing a variety of personalities, from nervous or shy pets to energetic, excitable, or senior animals. I use calm, patient, positive handling techniques, allowing pets to build trust at their own pace. I never use punishment or harsh corrections and always respect each pet’s boundaries.

Safety is my highest priority. Before every booking, I take time to understand your pet’s routine, medical needs, and any behavioural quirks. During walks, dogs remain securely leashed unless you’ve specifically requested otherwise in a safe, appropriate location. At home, I ensure doors, gates, and windows are secure, keep harmful items out of reach, follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, and provide regular photo and message updates so you can enjoy complete peace of mind while you’re away.

As I remember myself I was living with different animals all my life. We have had cats and dogs since early childhood and through the lifetime there were more then 15 pets. I studied to understand them and tried to guess their thoughts and dreams. I think I was a successful student. Because of my rich experience I've improved my skills in different nuances of looking after the pets and knowing their needs.I'll be happy to share my experience with your lovely fur friends. I can look after your pets at your home when you're away. To feed, to walk, to play and to talk. And you can be sure that your house will also be keeping in the perfect way because I have more than 20 years of householding experience. I have an attraction to the dogs and cats in my heart and they always seem to have the same feelings to me. It looks like we're charging each other with a vital energy and afterwards we can understand each other as similar personality.I consider myself as a very responsible person and I'm sure that being on time is actually means to be at least 10 minutes earlier in everything. Sometime my wife can help me and it's very convenient because both we can guarantee that your order will be done with the most perfect results. Your pets will be surrounded by lots of love and care. Animals can feel a friendly soul ituitually, so when we meet they soon feel confident and safe. In addition to taking care of your pet, we'll make a short actual videos for you, so that you can feel as if you are near your pets all the time.It would be a great pleasure for me to fulfil your pet's life with happiness and joy when you need to be away because of your private or family circumstances.

Hi! I’m Gemma, a reliable and caring animal lover based near West Byfleet. As a lifelong cat owner, I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away.
I offer home visits for cats and other small pets, including feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, medication (where appropriate and with clear instructions), playtime, cuddles, and plenty of company. Every pet is different, so I’m happy to tailor each visit to their personality and routine—whether they love lots of attention or simply prefer a calm, reassuring presence.
I know it can be difficult leaving your pets, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages after every visit, giving you peace of mind that they’re happy and being looked after.
I’m trustworthy, organised and treat every home with the same respect I would my own. Whether you’re away for a weekend, a business trip or a longer holiday, you can relax knowing your pets are in caring hands.
I’d love to meet you and your pets before your booking to make sure we’re a great fit!

I am very friendly with pets as I own 2 myself. I know how to treat and maintain pets.
I would consider myself to be very effective and helpful when it comes to dealing with energetic dogs and cats. I also have a lot of space and a very large garden where they can run around and have a lot of freedom.
I am at home 80% of the time so we will always be watchful of the pets and I already have pet sit before multiple times for many different clients. Their pets are always very happy to see me and always feel extremely welcome when I take care of them.
I have a very flexible time table and I am able to drive to a clients house at anytime to feed or watch over the pets while the client is out or doing something.
I am also available at almost any time.

If you’re looking for someone who will care for your cat as if they were their own, you’ve found the right person! I’m a Shepperton-based cat sitter who absolutely adores cats. I'm the girl who will ALWAYS stop to say hello to a cat in the street...or the one searching for the resident cat at a party.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to grow up surrounded by cats. My childhood cats lived to the age of 20 and three of our family cats were rescues who chose to make our home theirs. Two of those rescue cats, Snoopy and Gnocchi, are still with me today and are a huge part of my life. Living with cats for so many years has taught me that every cat has their own unique personality - and I love each and every one of them.
Alongside my personal experience, I’ve also been professionally cat sitting for over a year. I understand how important it is to know your pet is in reliable, caring hands while you’re away. I pride myself on being dependable, patient and attentive and I’ll always follow your cat’s usual routine as closely as possible to minimise any stress.
My visits include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, playtime, cuddles (if your cat wants them!) and making sure they’re happy, healthy and comfortable. I can also administer simple medications and send photo and video updates so you can relax knowing they’re doing well <3
I’m based in Shepperton and am available to provide cat sitting and home visits around the surrounding Surrey area. I primarily care for cats and kittens, as this is where my experience and passion lie. Whether your cat is energetic and playful, shy and nervous, or a senior who needs extra care, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I’d give my own. My goal is simple: to make sure your cat feels safe, loved and cared for until you’re home again <3

Hi! I’m Dan, a 19 year old animal lover based in Surrey with a genuine passion for caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up, animals were always a big part of my life from dogs and cats to tortoises, so looking after them has always felt completely natural to me.
I have hands on experience walking and sitting multiple dogs at once, both big and small breeds, so I’m completely comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve also owned and cared for cats throughout my life, giving me a solid understanding of their needs and how to keep them happy and comfortable, especially when their owners are away.
In terms of services, I offer dog walking, dog sitting, and cat sitting. Whether you need a reliable daily walker, someone to pop in for a visit, or a sitter to stay with your pet for longer periods, I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s needs.
Alongside my studies, I work part-time as a lifeguard, so I’m calm under pressure, responsible, and trustworthy qualities I bring to every sit and walk. My flexible schedule means your pet gets real time and attention, not just a quick check-in.
Your pet’s happiness and safety genuinely matter to me. This isn’t just a side job it’s something I really enjoy. I only accept vaccinated pets and will always keep you updated with photos and messages throughout, so you can relax knowing your companion is in great hands.
I’d love to meet your pet, so feel free to get in touch and arrange a free meet and greet!

Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—I’ve owned cats since I was four years old, and currently share my home (and heart) with my beloved rescue cat, Honey, who I adopted when she was just one. I’m a huge animal lover through and through, and nothing makes me happier than spending time with pets—whether that’s giving them cuddles, chatting to them like they’re listening, or just making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I truly understand how important it is to know your furry family members are in caring hands, and I treat every pet I look after like one of my own. With years of hands-on experience with pets, a gentle approach, and an instinctive love for animals, I’d be honoured to care for your pets and give them all the attention and affection they deserve.
I currently work Monday to Friday office hours. I can do 1 to 2 check ins and feeding / pet cuddles daily, or can house sit if preferred.

My name is Lucy, I am a city and guild qualified Dog Groomer. I have been for over ten years now. I currently own my own dog grooming business, which has now been open for almost 8 years! I have always worked with dogs, they are my love and my passion. I also did animal care level 2 & 3 at college. Which I then went on to do my dog grooming course, all at Merrist Wood. I have 2 dogs of my own, a Labrador and a German shepherd. I'd be more than happy to help if you need pet visits throughout the day, or even 1-1 dog walks. With over 10 years experience in the animal industry, I have allot to offer. I can give you piece of mind knowing your pet will be cared for whilst you are not there. Each pet I look after, I treat as if they are my own. After being a dog groomer for 10 years I have plenty of experience with nervous/anxious/agressive dogs. So please don't hesitate to get in contact with me to discuss your animal needs.

Animals have always been a big part of my life. I currently have a 14-year-old dog who, due to his age and health condition, is being cared for by my family in my home country. It was a difficult decision, but his wellbeing and comfort always come first. This experience has made me even more attentive, patient and understanding of pets’ individual needs.

Although I don’t have extensive professional experience, I have cared for and fostered dogs in the past and truly enjoy spending time with them. I understand how important it is for pet owners to feel confident and at ease when leaving their pets in someone else’s care. I always treat every pet like family-with kindness, patience and respect for their routine.

I currently offer dog walking and pet care at the owner’s home, providing calm companionship, playtime, feeding and regular updates. I enjoy relaxed walks tailored to each dog’s energy level and needs, whether they prefer a gentle stroll or a bit more movement.

I’m happy to follow any special instructions to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable and well cared for while you’re away.

I am currently on maternity leave after having a beautiful baby girl. As I'm off work for a fair few months, I'm available for home visits.
I love cats and own 2 myself, Leo and Marco, 2 tabby brothers. I'm a kind and caring person and will make sure I take great care of your pets!
I grew up with cats and I find it easy to bond with new cats I meet. We used to own a rescue cat so I also have experience with looking after nervous pets.
If you have any particular routine you want me to follow or if you need me to use a catmate, I'm familiar with how these work.
I live in Pyrford, close to West Byfleet but I have a car so willing to travel to you.
I'm available any time of the day, morning, afternoon or evening. I can stay up to 30 mins at a time and can also bring in post when coming to do the visit.
If you have any questions about my experience or want to ask me any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
