Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Purfleet Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Purfleet cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Purfleet cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi, I’m Amanda, and caring for dogs isn’t just what I do—it’s what I genuinely love. As a dog boarder, dog daycare provider, and dog walker, I treat every pup in my care like they’re part of my own family. I know how important it is to feel confident that your dog is safe, happy, and loved while you’re away or busy, and that’s always my top priority.
I offer a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where dogs can relax, play, and be themselves. Whether it’s boarding for a few nights, daycare during the day, or walks to burn off energy and explore the neighborhood, I make sure each dog gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I tailor care to each dog’s personality and needs—because no two dogs are exactly the same.
At home, I have one dog of my own, Lola, a sweet and friendly miniature labradoodle who absolutely loves having furry friends around. She helps make visiting dogs feel welcome and at ease, and together we make sure every tail is wagging. When your dog is with me, they’re not just being watched—they’re being cared for like one of my own

I’m responsible, trustworthy, and truly love animals—I’ll treat your pets like my own.

Hi, I’m Rhianna! I’m a full-time graphic designer for Lily's Kitchen Pet Food, working in a hybrid setup—four days from home and one day in the office.

I’m 23 years old and a huge dog lover. I currently help take care of my family’s golden retriever, Lochie, almost every day while the rest of the household is at work. I’ve always felt a deep connection with dogs and find real comfort and joy being around them.

While I can’t have a pup of my own just yet (I live with my family while saving up to move out with my partner, David), I’m genuinely excited for the day I can. In the meantime, I’d love the opportunity to spend time with your furry friend!

Thanks to my flexible work schedule, I’m available for dog walks in the morning, afternoon, or evening—whatever suits you best. I’m active, love staying fit, and will make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise, love, and attention.

I am currently living with parents so am unable to care for pets in my house, however, I am more than happy to check in on your loved ones and make sure they have tons of fun and exercise out and about on walks.

If you have any questions, special requests, or specific needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m more than happy to accommodate!

I adore cats! I currently have two of my own- boys- both rescued. One a 17yo Bengal called Harry, the other a short-hair black & white 2yo called Teddy. I genuinely love being around cats. I feel passionate about in-home care as opposed to cattery residence as it allows your fur babies to stay in their familiar surrounding. I know my cats 'need' this, especially Teddy who is a little anxious.
I have had cats most of my life and also cat sat for friends and family many times over the years. They are always happy with the service! I like to send photos and updates when I know they miss the little ones. Jetting off on your much needed summer holiday, going away for work or generally out of action shouldn't leave you feeling guilty and stressed about 'abandoning' your furry loved one(s).
Obviously I will feed, and clean any litter trays or accidents. I can also administor medication when provided clear instructions. Entertain with playtime, relax with cuddles on their favourite chair. Happy to do any other little jobs like feeding fish/small furries (experienced with many), watering plants, putting the bins out- I like to help out so just ask!
I am also a mum of two children, so visits weekday early mornings before the school run (term time) isn't possible but I take pet sitting seriously and am 100% reliable and trustworthy.

Hi, I'm Kay!I currently own 2 cats, Casper my tabby who is almost 18 years old loves lots of fuss as he is getting older. I also have a white cat called Nims who also has one blue eye and one green eye, also known as a heterochromia cat. She loves cuddles and curling up on laps although she can also be a little madam!I absolutely love spending time with cats as no two kitties are the same and I adore the different personalities that each one has. I have previously worked as a volunteer at Celia Hammond's Rescue Shelter in East London. My duties mainly included cleaning out the cat cages, providing fresh bedding and cleaning out litter trays. I also helped rehabilitate cats by socialising, playing and giving lots of cuddles to help them get used to human interaction. This was important in establishing trust and security for them. I also have previous cat sitting experience within my local residential area. In addition to the above, I have also cared for friends and neighbour's cats when they are away. I am also a qualified Reiki Practitioner specialising in Animal Reiki and certified in Healing for Companion Animals.

Hello! My name is Matheus, and I’ve been working as a dog walker and pet sitter since 2022. Caring for animals is not just a job for me – it’s a true passion. I’ve always had a deep love and respect for pets, and being able to spend time with them while helping their owners brings me so much joy and fulfillment.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Whether it’s going on long walks, playing in the park, feeding, or simply offering company and affection, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away.

Pet parents can count on me to be responsible, patient, and attentive to each animal’s needs. I understand how important it is to leave your furry friend with someone you trust, and I always strive to provide the same care and love I would want for my own pets.Unfortunately I can't administrate medication. we can board up to 3 dogs at the same tim.
I walk with the dog for at least 30 minute.

I’m a friendly, reliable and genuinely animal obsessed dog sitter who has grown up around dogs my whole life. Being 27 and having lived in a dog household since I was young means I’m confident handling all types of dogs, from tiny high energy breeds to large, strong dogs and older companions who need a gentler pace.
I offer dog walking, drop ins and home boarding or daycare. I’m used to managing different routines, personalities and needs, and I tailor each day to the dog, whether they need long stimulating walks, structured play, slow calming time or a predictable routine. I’m also comfortable giving oral medication, sticking to training rules and supporting dogs who are nervous or still learning.
For boarding and daycare, dogs stay in my family home which is quiet, safe and dog friendly. We have a fully enclosed garden and a big field just three minutes away, so dogs get plenty of safe exercise and sniffing time. Dogs are never left alone for long, and I always follow the owner’s preferences for feeding, crate use, boundaries and behaviour.
Safety is always my priority. Owners provide their dog’s usual lead or harness, and I handle them confidently on walks, keeping distance from overstimulating dogs and calmly redirecting excitement or pulling. At home, I keep doors and gates secured and make sure the environment is calm and predictable, especially for anxious or first time boarders.
