Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Renfrew Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Renfrew cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Renfrew cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hello, my name is Kevin I'm 27 years old and I'm based in Glasgow's west end. I lived with my dog Burney for 8 years who was a rescue from Greece until he sadly passed away.
I'm currently working full time and wish to walk/care for pets on my days off and free time (Preferably Cats & Dogs of any size but can maybe do other pets too)
I grew up in Greece in a small town near Athens up until I was 20 where I lived with several of my family's dogs & cats which I would always help take care of with my family most of which were rescued within that small town.
I've seen countless stray dogs & cats in the streets and although we couldn't adopt every single one of them we would always try our best to help take care of & feed any animal we could find before letting them go or trying to find them a new home for them.
At some point, I had to leave Greece due to personal reasons coming over I also decided to take my dog with me who I personally rescued when I was 16 yrs old.
Home: I live in a small flat but have plenty of space for bedding to let the pet relax and sleep in i live right next to the park so i can easily take your pet to the park whenever they need to multiple times a day.
If they need certain medication diatery restrictions I can also accommodate that if you explain that to me.
I have a lot of experience with dog walking and can make sure your pet has some much needed exercise.I am also available for cat and dogsitting at your own place, either for regular visits or to stay for longer periods of time if needed.I am a good communicator, patient and caring. If you want to receive updates every often about your dog/cat that will never be a problem, and I will do my best to keep you informed so you don't have to worry at all. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a message.

Hi! I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter and dog walker with a background in biology and a lifelong love for animals. I'm originally from Brazil, lived in Malta for 2.5 years and have been living and working in Glasgow since last year as a Quality Manager.I may be new to Pawshake, but I’ve always naturally connected with animals and I’m very attentive to their behaviour and needs. My biology background helps me understand animal wellbeing, so I make sure every pet in my care feels safe, comfortable, and happy.I’m patient, gentle, and take the time to build trust with each pet—whether that’s going on walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I commit to sending photos and updates frequently if that's your wish.Unfortunately, due to rental agreements, I cannot have your pet over at my home, but I have a fairly flexible schedule and I am happy to go to your house and have longer visits/walks than 30 minutes.I live walking distance to Festival Park but am also happy to just chill at your home if that's your pet's preference. I am prepared for all types of walks, whether they are chill or full of energy. My services apply to clients living within a 15-20 minute walk from my home (Festival Park) or work (Paisley).I grew up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, snakes and birds, so I am prepared to care for various types of pets. For services near Festival Park, I am available Tuesday to Friday after 5pm and flexible on weekends and Mondays. For services in Paisley, I am available from Tuesday to Friday. My calendar will always be updated with my availability. I’m also very happy to follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules and any specific instructions. I offer a free meet & greet so you can get to know me a bit before hand. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own

Hey! I'm Antonina, a first year Music and Psych student at the University of Glasgow and I stay in the west end, I would love to take your dog for walks. Animals have always been my biggest joy. Growing up, our house was a always filled with pets. Now that I'm at uni, I miss having them around. That's why I'm offering dog-walking services that are more than just a quick trot around the block.
the length of the walk is completely up to you. If your dog also has any preferred areas or routes I will happily take them there. I've got experience walking dogs for up to 3 hours but also as short as 10mins. It's whatever your dog needs! I'm avaiable every evening except the occasional night where i have a shift. I'm also available for morning walks most of the week E.g tues, wed, sat and Sunday. I'm flexible and easygoing so we can definitely chat more about availability if anyone needs are exceeding what is in this description.

I’m an active, outdoors-loving animal lover and dog walker in Glasgow. I’m a freelancer, manage my own schedule and love any excuse to get outside. I’m flexible with timing and can easily fit dog walks and visits to care for your pet into my day.
I live in Partick and am lucky to have the River Kelvin and Botanic Gardens on my doorstep, I'm have my own transport and am happy to travel within 3 miles of this area.
I'm available for dog walks and drop in visits to feed and play with your cats or dogs. You know your pet best so we'll discuss their likes, dislikes and needs prior to our first booking - I'm happy to drop by your place for a chat. I seek to spend an hour with your pet per booking, so I can make sure they receive the attention and company they want.
I've always owned pets - growing up with cats and then owning and training a beautiful border collie as an adult. I live in a flat right now, and whilst I do miss having my own dog I am lucky to have two brother cats. I have arranged sitting and care for them through Pawshake when I travel (and have had fabulous experiences) - so I do really appreciate the trust you place in me coming to your home and taking care of your pet.
I’m comfortable walking puppies, seniors, and everything in between, and always prioritize safety and care. I usually walk dogs who are comfortable on the lead and under 30kg - this helps me ensure we both have a secure and fun time. I'm comfortable reading dog body language, but also readily scan the environment for potential issues so they can be entirely avoided. I'm also happy to build on your dog training.
I'm very active on this site, so send me a message and let me know what you need :)

Hello, I’m Lucrezia! I'm from Italy and currently studying at the University of Glasgow. I love spending time with dogs and have extensive experience caring for them. I've grown up with dogs my whole life, and I miss spending time with my lovely dog, Iris, in Italy. I have experience looking after rottweilers, alsatians, rhodesian ridgebacks and staffordshire bull terriers, so I have a wide range of knowledge and experience with different breeds. I am comfortable looking after puppies and older dogs. I am very patient and understand that some dogs need time to adjust to a new walker. I would love the opportunity to spend time with dogs and look after them. I can take them for daily walks or for outdoor exercise in public parks such as the botanical gardens and Kelvingrove. I’m available mainly during the week, and less at the weekend as I have a part time job working in a restaurant. I can do mornings from 9am until 11am. I welcome the chance to meet the dog in advance.

I am a friendly, reliable, and dedicated dog sitter with over five years of experience providing loving and responsible care to dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine , and I take the time to ensure they feel comfortable, secure, and happy while their owners are away. I provide personalised care that includes feeding, regular walks, playtime, companionship, and basic daily care, always delivered with patience and attention.
I believe pets are part of the family, and I treat each one as if they were my own. I am attentive to their behaviour, emotional needs, and wellbeing, ensuring they receive both physical activity and affection. Safety, hygiene, and consistency are always my top priorities.

My experience has helped me build strong bonds with dogs and gain the trust of their owners. You can rely on me to provide professional, caring, and dependable service, giving you complete peace of mind and ensuring your dog remains relaxed, healthy, and well cared for in your absence.
I wake up early to make ensure morning walks, feeding, playtime and personalised care for healthy and happy pets.
A typical day includes morning walks or toilet breaks, feeding according to the dog’s usual schedule, and plenty of attention, play, and rest throughout the day. Dogs are never rushed and are given the care and patience they need. Regular updates can be provided to owners for peace of mind.
My home is clean, calm, and dog-friendly, making it a comfortable place for dogs to relax. Dogs are treated like part of the family and are well-supervised at all times. I only take a limited number of dogs to ensure each one receives individual care and attention.

I am happy to follow specific instructions regarding feeding, walking, medication, and sleeping arrangements. My priority is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free home-from-home experience while owners are away.

I have been looking after and walking dogs since the age of 12, my family members and friends often rely on my to take their dogs on toilet breaks and walks allowing them to get exercise when their owners are unable to do so. For the past five years I have been dog sitting in owners homes while they are on holiday to ensure as little disruption to the pets life as possible and allowing them to stay in a routine. Animals have always had such a special place in my heart, they bring so much unconditional love and joy and companionship into our lives. Being a pet sitting and dog walker allows me to give that love right back. I do what I do because every pet deserves to feel safe, loved and cared for even when their favourite humans are away.
Whether it's a long walk, cuddle on the couch or just keeping them in a consistent routine, I take pride in making every pet feel comfortable and loved, as I know how much peace of mind this gives to pet parents. Which is why I treat every pet as if they were my own.

Hi! I'm Emma, a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and happy in their own home while their owners are away. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision, so I always aim to provide the same level of care, attention, and respect that I would want for my own.
I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their usual routine. Whether your pet enjoys lots of playtime and interaction or prefers a quieter, more relaxed approach, I'm happy to adapt to their individual personality and needs. I take the time to build trust, ensure they feel comfortable, and provide plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while you're away.
I'm attentive to feeding schedules, fresh water, exercise, playtime, cleaning up after pets, administering simple routines, and making sure they remain happy and settled throughout my visits. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is being well cared for.
Alongside caring for your pet, I'm extremely respectful of your home. I understand how important it is to return to a clean, secure, and well-looked-after space. I'm happy to help with small household tasks such as watering plants, bringing in parcels or post, opening and closing curtains, and generally keeping everything tidy and as you left it.
I have experience caring for my own dog as well as looking after several cats for friends and family. Through this experience, I've learned the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every pet is different. Some animals are confident and social, while others need a little more time and reassurance, and I'm always happy to work at their pace.

I have 3 animals that stay with me, 2 cats (shadow and willow) and a dog (lola). The cats will mainly stay upstairs in their room, whereas, my pup lola has full rein of the downstairs! She gets on great with other dogs and loves long walks and going to dog fields to run around off lead! I can support with dog walking, daytime companionship, evening care, and overnight or holiday house sitting, always adapting to your pet’s routine and needs.
Walks are typically 30–60 minutes depending on your dog’s needs and energy levels, and I ensure they get both physical exercise and mental stimulation.1:1 care meaning I only take one dog at a time (or dogs from the same household) so your pet gets my full attention. I take time to build trust at their pace. I can also administer basic oral medication if needed.
Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I stay attentive at all times, avoid unsafe situations during walks, and in case of any concerns, I will immediately contact you and follow your preferred emergency plan.In case of any emergency, I will contact you immediately and take your pet to the nearest vet if needed, following your instructions.I work from home, which allows me to be flexible and present, so your dog will never feel alone. I focus on creating a stress-free experience, with plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and consistent care.
For safety and wellbeing, I do require that pets are up-to-date with vaccinations.I have my PVG too.
