Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Rickmansworth Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Rickmansworth cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Rickmansworth cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

My name is Emily and I am an animal lover! I have always had cats and currently have two - one black boy called Wilson who is 4 and one ginger boy called Merlin who is 5. I have always cat sat in my free time and now I have even more time to expand this. I also love dogs, and have plenty of experience looking after them, walking them and generally entertaining them! I am comfortable with any dog breed, and any cat breed.
I am comfortable administering medication, as well as ensuring strict diets are upheld for medical or health reasons. Whether this be creams, injections, pills in food or bathing, I am experienced in all. I will also brush the animal to ensure good health is maintained.
If there is a litter tray that will be emptied daily and changes when the client specifies. I will always ensure water is fresh and topped up.
If I stay in your house I will be sure to live by your rules and update you with any issues. I will also not bring anyone else into your property.
I am a very caring person and have the time and energy to look after your animals and your home if you want someone you can trust whilst you aren't there. I have plenty of references I can provide you with.
I can stay as long as you would like during my visits, some clients like me to spend a couple of hours keeping their pet company. Which I am more than happy to do.
Clients sometimes ask for video/photo updates, which of course I am happy to provide!
I have had cats all my life and have been cat and dog sitting for the past ten years. And I love it. I have looked after Saint Bernards and little terriers, and I have looked after 6 month old kittens and ragdoll cats. I have also looked after 7 cats in one house before. I have also looked after rabbits, hedgehogs, hamsters and guinea pigs.
I have plenty of friends around me with animals so even when I am not sitting for someone I am surrounded by animals.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Hello! My name is Lucy, and I am a passionate, reliable animal lover looking forward to helping you care for your pets. Having grown up with pets including experience with show dogs. I completely understand how important your animals are to your family and how vital it is to leave them in calm, capable hands.

Because I cannot host pets in my own home, I specialize exclusively in outbound services tailored around your setup:

Dog Walking: I offer structured, engaging local walks tailored to your dog’s energy level and routine, whether they prefer a energetic stroll or a relaxed walk. Walks typically last 30 to 60 minutes.

Drop-In Visits: Perfect for cats or dogs needing mid-day attention, feeding, fresh water, or play time. These 30-minute pop-ins ensure your pet stays happy and comfortable in their own environment.

House Sitting: I am available to stay overnight at your home while you are away, giving your pets full companionship in their familiar surroundings and keeping your home secure.

I am punctual, highly responsible, and happy to send updates and photo check-ins during every visit so you always have peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companions!

I am a maths teacher in a hospital and teach children in both short- and long- term stays and recurring stays.
I enjoy travelling, meeting new people (and animals) and reading and watching psychological thrillers.
I am very thorough in what I do. I read over instructions carefully and ask questions if I have any. I clean up after myself and ensure homes look how they did before I got there.
When I am working, which is term time as I am a teacher, I can do morning and evening home visits. For morning visits I can do short visits and, for instance, feed and hydrate the pets. In the evening I can do the same, and entertain the pets, but for several hours. I am more than happy to do anything else that you need. For instance, bring in mail, water plants and take bins out.
When I am not working, at weekends and during school holidays, I can do two visits of several hours where I can feed, hydrate and entertain the pets.
When house sitting, which will be at weekends and school holidays I can stay in the house for as long as you need me to, where I can feed, hydrate and entertain the pets.I like to ensure that the cats are happy and don't miss their owners too much. Whether this is cuddles, playing or whatever the owner requests. I enjoy taking photos and I like sending photos of pets to their owners so they can be reassured that they are happy.
I have volunteered in a cat sanctuary. I have dog sat for two lovely dogs twice and counting. I have cat sat for my friend’s cat once and counting.

A little about me:
I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, I have 6 years experience with pet sitting and dog walking, but a lifetime experience of cuddles, treats and happy tails! I have two gorgeous family Frenchies, Harvey and Martha- the troublesome two!

As I’m a fully remote worker, I’m able to offer flexible, attentive care and plenty of companionship for your pets. I provide house sitting and overnight stays 7 days a week, allowing your pets to stay comfortable in the home and routine they know best.

My services
House sitting & overnight staysAvailable 7 days a week, with plenty of time to give your pets the attention, affection and care they deserve.
Dog walking & drop-in visitsMonday–Friday between 11:30am–2:30pm and 4:15pm–11:55pm. I’m fully flexible on weekends and happy to work around your requirements.

Dogs & catsMy passion and experience are primarily with dogs and cats. I provide care in your home, as I believe pets are happiest and most settled in familiar surroundings. Rather than disrupting their routine, I simply bring a new pair of caring hands for companionship, playtime, walks and plenty of cuddles.

Before any booking, I’m very happy to arrange a meet & greet so that you, your pet and I can get to know one another and make sure everyone feels completely comfortable.

I’d also love to hear about your pet’s personality, routines, little quirks and any specific requirements beforehand, so I can provide personalised care tailored to them. I understand that every animal has their own needs, so I take the time to get to know each pet and make them feel comfortable in my care.

Whether it’s an exciting walk, some company and cuddles while you’re away, or a fresh and relaxing bath, I always aim to make their time with me enjoyable and stress-free. Seeing a happy face and a wagging tail is what I love most about what I do!

Professional, reliable and genuinely passionate about animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own — with plenty of love, patience and attention to detail.

Hey! I'm Lauryn, and ever since I was little, I've always wanted a pet. Unfortunately I still don't have one, but I want to show love to a dog or cat I'll be pet sitting. I will be entering my second year of university at the University of Warwick later this September, and in the meantime, I need a source of income to aid me in paying my second year house!

I love pets, and I have previously looked after dogs when I was around 14-16, and often I would look after up to 4 dogs at a time. I looked after a labrador, a labrador retriever, a German shepherd, and a maltese shih tzu. I would feed them, give them love and attention, and take them out on walks. I loved to play fetch with them, try to teach them tricks, and spoil them with treats and toys. When I have the time, I still try and visit them because I love and cherish them so much! Although I do not have much experience with cats, I am a fast learner, and I love cats and dogs equally!

Since I have not yet started university, my schedule is still flexible, and I am available most days. Just send me a message and I will confirm for you! I offer many services like dog walking, visits, and long pet sitting sessions, although I think overnight stays at someone else's house might be a bit out of my comfort zone, but I am willing to discuss!

My schedule will depend on my term dates, so I am free from now till the 24th of September, and won't be available until December, when I'll be back from uni!

Please feel free to send me a message! I am ready to start any job in the hopes of earning money, curing my boredom, and showing some love to your furry friends.

I grew up completely surrounded by animals & pets and am a self proclaimed crazy dog lady!
I have a deep understanding of dogs, particularly sighthounds and their needs, sensitivity & prey drive, as I grew up with 2 gorgeous whippets - Dolly & Tommy. I also had 3 cats so I have a great knowledge of feline care.
I have worked in the Film & TV industry for 6 years and have decided to transition into the pet care field, driven by my genuine passion for animals. I am fully available and flexible to accommodate drop in visits & walking needs at very short notice. I also offer doggy day care & overnight boarding for small to medium sized dogs & sighthounds of any size. I’m fully available for meet-ups beforehand to get to know eachother & make sure it’s a great fit, just drop me a message!
I have been offering my services since the end of last year through other pet care platforms. I also often undertake paid home visits for pets belonging to my friends & family whilst they’re at work or on holiday. I am a very reliable, trustworthy and respectful person.
I love tailoring walks and activities to each dog and their needs. I’m able to provide great exercise for both bigger & high energy dogs, and great exercise for smaller / low energy dogs. I am very well versed in a good game of fetch & frisbee but also aware some dogs just want a good old sniff around during their walks!
Please let me know if your dogs have any particular needs or sensitivities you’d like to discuss. I am experienced with reactive dogs, rescues & dogs with a high prey drive. I’m more than happy to arrange a meet-up beforehand to get to know each other make sure it’s a great fit!

Hello! I’m Elo, a warm, friendly, and caring person with a genuine love for dogs of all breeds and sizes—and animals in general!
I’ve always had pets back home and still do, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. Unfortunately, I’m not able to have my own dog here in London, and I really miss having a furry friend around, spending time with them, and giving them lots of love and attention.
I’d be more than happy to look after your dog, whether you need someone for walks, playtime, companionship, or general care. I currently have good availability and I’m very flexible, so I’d be happy to work around your needs and your dog’s routine.
You can feel reassured that your dog will receive plenty of affection, playful attention, and responsible care while spending time with me. Please feel free to reach out—I’d love to meet you and your furry friend!

I can walk your dog, visit your home to feed them, give them fresh water, play with them or even spend some days with them, if necessary. Now I work from home, this means that I’m going to spend all day long with your pet.
I will take care of your pet with love and responsibility!

Passion, love, and care are the main approaches I use when working with the animals and their owners.
Having my own pets, I truly understand how difficult it may be to build the trust to look after your love once. I can deliver commitment, compassion, and professionalism when working with you.
Looking after your pets is not just a job for me. It is pure love, and I use my experience I have gained since I was 11 years old. My house has always been full of cats and dogs. Last year, we welcomed Lucky, who is a lovely Cokapoo puppy. In my previous roles, communication has been a cornerstone of my work ethic.I pride myself on my ability to interact effectively with pet owners, ensuring that their precise requirements and concerns are met. Self-awareness plays a vital role in my professional development, allowing me to grow and adapt while consistently providing quality service. This is particularly relevant when managing time, routes, and routines to guarantee a seamless experience for both pets and their owners.Additionally, I am committed to continuous learning and growth. This mindset enables me to adopt new techniques and practices that benefit both animals and clients, ensuring that I can meet diverse and evolving needs in pet care. I am a dog owner myself, and I absolutely love being part of his life. Seeing how happy and excited he gets really makes my day. Lucky is part of my family, and it is rewarding to be a part of his life. I also have two cats. I am an animal lover with no regrets.
I love being active and walking in the woods. I appreciate the nature and space we have around the area.
Playing with dogs and giving them a chance to explore the space creates lovely memories but also supports their well-being style of life.
Providing a safe and healthy environment is crucial in the pet's care plan. In addition to my experience, I have completed the training for dog walkers and dog/cat seaters. I also completed Pet First Aid and CPR training.
I only accept pets who are vaccinated and registered with a local vet.
I will collect your loved one from your home. I can offer longer walks in the local woods and parks.
I cover an area of Pinner, Northwood, Harrow, Bushy, Watford, Ruislip, and Eastcote.
I have a full UK driving licence, and I can be flexible with the area to support you and your pet.
I treat your pet as an individual with love and care.
I offer lots of play games to keep your fluffy friend occupied and happy.

My name is Stephanie I have owned dogs all of my life. I started my training journey 22 years ago with a male Doberman puppy. I learnt a lot from Logan, we completed various levels of obedience classes.
I have since successfully trained a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and most recently an English Cocker Spaniel. I have always loved animals. I have also owned multiple cats and have experience feeding and caring for them.
My dog Bella is available to come out on walks with us, if your dog would like some company. Bella is exceptionally well behaved on and off lead, she makes an excellent companion, especially for nervous dogs as she is so very calm and friendly.
I have experience caring for senior dogs and giving medication. I cared for my Staffordshire bull terrier until she was nearly 15, this has given me invaluable training on senior dogs.
I am canine first aid trained and insured.
