Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Romford Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Romford cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Romford cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I have two beautiful cats myself. They are both adorable and i value them as family members.I am 49 years old, i am an account manager for a Essex based sales company.I have used Pawshake many times myself, the service provided to me and my two cats was amazing and valuable.Without Pawshake going away for a holiday or short break would have been impossible, as i want to have peace of mind that my cats would be well looked after, Pawshake helped me with this, i have never been disappointed.I live in the Romford area, i have a car and can travel to feed cats. Morning or evening visits are not a problem, evening is preferable during weekdays.I am happy to stay with the cats for 15 to 30 minutes to ensure they are all ok.I want to give a great service and make the cats that i look after feel special, and of course feed and care for them. I just enjoy being around cats . I am more than happy to play with your cats as well, and i can send you pictures of your cats whilst you are away.I can also water plants if required.

Hi, I live in Hornchurch, and I can walk your dog (solo walk), or feed your cat/s (plus change litter tray etc) any day of the week.I am an experienced dog walker/owner, who has walked dogs and cared for cats for 5 years. I am an animal lover, and retired Civil Servant, who is honest, reliable and trustworthy, despite my appearence, which is very deceptive.I would treat you dog or cat (s) as if they were my own. I always create a special bond with the animals I care for, and give them a one on one personal service. If you would like me to visit and maybe take him/her for a free trial walk, or to meet your cat (s), then I am always here for you. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance help an animal in need, so please feel free to get in touch where ever you are based for my consideration...Keith.

Hi! I’m a reliable and caring pet lover who understands that pets are family. I’ve spent much of my life around animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and other small pets for friends, family, and pet owners who needed someone trustworthy while they were away. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, getting to know their personalities, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved when their owners can’t be there.
I believe every pet deserves individualized care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm routine, I’ll adapt to their needs and ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering basic medications when needed, and keeping owners updated with messages and photos.
My services include dog walking (typically 30–60 minutes, tailored to your dog’s energy level), drop-in visits (30–45 minutes for feeding, fresh water, playtime, litter box or cage cleaning, and companionship), and house sitting or overnight pet care, where I maintain your pet’s normal routine while keeping your home secure and tidy.
I currently care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small household pets. At this time, I may not be the best fit for pets that require specialized exotic animal care, large livestock, or animals with significant behavioral challenges that need professional training expertise.
My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and ensure your pet is happy, healthy, and well cared for while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
