Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Sheffield Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Sheffield cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Sheffield cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I have been pet sitting now for over 3 years and have travelled all over the UK, I am now based in Sheffield (and Uxbridge) but will travel for overnight sits. Im vegan, and have been for 8 years. I love animals and spending as much time with them as possible through pet sitting and visiting sanctuaries.Pet sitting is my full time job, so I will be able to spend as much time as required with your furry friends. I can be home with them as much as needed.Let me know if your pet has any special requirements or extra needs. I have cared for blind and deaf dogs before so am able to adjust for different needs. When I am not pet sitting I spend most of my time bouldering, or just being outdoors, walking and exploring. When the weather is bad you will find me wrapped up indoors with a book and probably some cake! I do over-night pet sitting. Starting at £35/night for a single dog. Also drop-ins and walks are available too.

Having grown up with various pets including dogs, cats, chickens and hamsters, I have always been confident around animals. I began taking care of friends pets when I was 18 and am now extending that to this app. I offer a wide range of services so please get in contact if there's any chance I can help. I am based in Sheffield so can travel anywhere in the city and am well aware of the range of green spaces available for walks.
I tend to prefer walks that are between half an hour to an hour but will happily extend these if your dog requires more time. I love playing with dogs (tug of war or fetch or similar) and love to cuddle them. I try to leave them alone for the least time possible during sits and am free in the day so I can absolutely visit multiple times, as required
Growing up I had a black labrador and a ginger cocker spaniel so I have a soft spot for these breeds but generally love any dogs. I also had two cats, Scrumpy and Jack. I have just returned from Uni where I studied physics so am excited to be back enjoying the nature in Sheffield. Having balanced my studies with part time work I am reliable and well organised. I can't wait to meet your adorable pet!

I have over 20 years of experience caring for pets and have grown up with animals as an important part of my life. My family previously owned two dogs — a Golden Retriever and a West Highland White Terrier — both of whom we lovingly cared for until they reached old age and passed away. This long-term experience has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand each pet’s individual needs.

I currently care for two tortoiseshell cats who are nearly one year old, and I am very familiar with daily routines such as feeding, cleaning litter trays, playtime, and monitoring behaviour and appetite.

I focus on home visits and dog walking. Dog walks are typically 30 minutes, and home visits usually last 20–30 minutes, depending on the pet’s needs. During visits, I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, receive playtime or companionship, and that their environment is clean and safe.

I am comfortable following specific routines and instructions, including caring for shy or senior pets. I can administer basic oral medication if required and always keep owners informed with updates during visits. I take safety seriously by ensuring doors and windows are secure, pets are safely contained, and I know who to contact in case of an emergency.

I genuinely love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. My aim is to provide calm, reliable, and caring support so pets feel comfortable and owners can have peace of mind while they are away.

Hi there! I’m someone who’s spent over two decades caring for and absolutely adoring cats. In my day job, I work as a recruitment officer, interviewing foster parents and finding the right homes for children in care. That experience helps me understand different needs and personalities just like I do when caring for cats, but my real passion is looking after furry friends.
I own cats myself - Olive and Pippa, my parents own Colin, Wilma and Winnie. I love their unique personalities and the comfort they bring. Olive and Pippa are very shy, they hide whenever someone new comes into our home. Colin is a little devil and loves to catch mice. Winnie and Wilma love cuddles and belly rubs. Whatever personality your fur baby has, id love to meet them. ️
I can provide:

Feeding
Fresh water and litter tray cleaning
Plenty of fuss, playtime, or quiet company — whatever your cat prefers
Basic home care while you’re away (bringing in post, watering plants, opening/closing curtains)
Regular photo and message updates for peace of mind

I’m patient, gentle, and respectful of your home, and I’m especially comfortable caring for nervous or anxious cats who need a bit of extra reassurance. Your cat’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority.
I’m experienced in feeding routines, keeping litter trays clean, providing enrichment through play, and offering companionship on the cat’s terms. I understand how important routine is for cats and make sure everything is done the way they’re used to.
Having cats myself, I’m very aware of how much they’re part of the family, and I care for every cat as if they were my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and always happy to provide updates and photos so owners can relax knowing their cat is in good hands. Can’t wait to meet your furbaby! Only accept cat bookings. Please message me with any requests.

Hi and thank you for viewing my profile!
I currently run my own Tree Surgery business but working with dogs is something I have wanted to do for many years and I am now finally taking the steps to make this happen!
Even though I am just starting out my dog care business life I do have previous experience with all dog sizes from small to giant breeds.
I do not judge based on breed or behaviour issues and I am happy to care for all dogs and their individual needs.
Been an owner of a reactive dog myself I understand the difficulties that you can face and I have learnt to read dog body language well, doing much research and learning into this subject so I am able to spot triggers early and improvise as needed to keep your dog happy and safe.
Our walks will also be structured different and wouldn't just be a boring walk around the field but would include basic training, sniffing games, play time and mental stimulation to gauntee a happy, content and tired pooch!
Our group walks would be limited to no more then 4 dogs per walk to garuntee time, affection and enrichment is met equally.
During house visits and house sittings the same care would be given as on walks. It wouldn't just be in & out for toilet breaks but basic training (including play time) would be part of the service and making your dog happy would be number 1 priority.
Walks will be trackable and full DBS will be available to view.
I shall be covering Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley for 30 or 60 minute walks, house visits for toilet breaks & training and house sitting as required.
Thanks
Adam

I have owned dogs all my life, and currently have the cutest 6 year old English springer spaniel called Alfie who we have had since a puppy. He is very energetic and loves long walks, but will love just as much to come and cuddle with you. Growing up, I had a black Labrador, which is where my love for dogs began.

I have lots of experience with all sizes of dogs as well as different ages and different energy levels.
I am great with energetic young dogs as well as laid back sleepy dogs.
I love taking energetic dogs to new places to explore but also chilling out with laidback sleepy dogs who just like a short stroll.
I am here to make sure your furry friends needs are fully met and I will ensure to make them feel extra loved while you are away!

Along with this, I am happy to care for multiple pet households such as multiple dogs or a mix of dogs & cats! Please let me know if there is any extra care needed such as ensuring dogs & cats are kept separate etc.

I am always open to any extra types of care needed such as medication or extra attention, given instructions.

I appreciate you entrusting me with your fur babies so will always treat them as my own, as well as treating your home with respect, leaving it identical to how it was found, with a cared for and happy pet left waiting for you to return!

I am currently a student studying physics at the university of Sheffield.
I have a fairly flexible schedule and can fit in multiple visits a day as well as staying overnight

However being a student, I will not be able to stay in your home full time on weekdays & will need to go out to my lectures at various times - please message me for more info!

Hi I'm Danielle, Thanks for visiting my profile!
I've always had a deep love for animals and have grown up around them. I've had two cats of my own, and my husband Lee grew up with Dalmatians. As the main carer of our pets, I’m dedicated to providing them with the best care, while Lee helps out occasionally. We both enjoy being outside, so dog walking is something we genuinely love doing together. With experience in housesitting and looking after various animals, we treat each one like family. Recently, we’ve welcomed our sassy baby leopard gecko, Echo, into our home!
So, why should you choose me?
First off, animals tend to love me—and I think it’s because I genuinely love them back. Animals have an instinctive sense of who they can trust, and I believe that bond is key to great care.
I’m also incredibly organised and take the responsibility of caring for pets very seriously. If you’re like me, you want someone who can think on their feet, stay calm, and handle any situation with confidence (hopefully, that won’t be needed!). Luckily, I’m that person, always ready to handle things with care and ease.
Being from New Zealand, where outdoor adventures are part of daily life, I’m naturally drawn to walks and being outside with animals. Whether it’s dog walking or providing day-to-day care, I’m always committed to giving your pets the attention and love they deserve.

I got 2 female cats at home, both are around three-year old. One is British shorthair, and another one is Scotland longhair. As a responsible cat owner, I know how to take care of our fluffy friends very well, and I want to meet more cute cats here!
Both of my cats were registered with vet, they usually have health check and vaccination once a year, and they have the full insurance. There is no worry my cat can cause troubles
Most time I can only see the cats once a day except weekends, hope you will be okay with it
Pls let me know your inquiries and cat personality when contacting me :)
I am an easygoing and patient person. As for the cat sitter experience, I usually help my friends to take care of their cats when they are on holidays, so don't worry about my experience on dealing with not familiar cats
