Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Swanwick Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Swanwick cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Swanwick cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi, I’m Ed. I’ve had dogs all my life and have always been passionate about animals and their care. I currently own a friendly 5-year-old Jackapoo called Lily and a 12-year-old cat called Coco, so I understand the importance of making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.

Over the years I’ve cared for different breeds including Labradors and Jack Russells, giving me experience with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m active and enjoy long walks, playtime, and making sure pets get the attention, exercise, and companionship they need.

I’m reliable, patient, and understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else. I’ll always care for your pets as if they were my own and keep to their normal routines as much as possible. I’m happy to adapt to different feeding routines, exercise needs, and personalities, whether your pet is energetic, nervous, older, or simply enjoys lots of company and affection.

During visits I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, toilet breaks, fresh water, and exercise where needed. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while away from home.

My motivation for becoming a pet sitter comes from genuinely enjoying being around animals and wanting to provide owners with peace of mind while they’re away. I take pet safety seriously, stay calm in unexpected situations, and would always contact owners immediately if I had any concerns.

For the safety and wellbeing of all pets in my home, I would only accept vaccinated pets.

Hello! I'm Amanda and welcome to my dog-loving home! As a passionate dog owner I know how important it is to find a safe, comfortable, and fun place for your furry friend while you're away.I can offer years of experience and a loving home. Your dog will be treated like one of the family, enjoying:Comfortable Surroundings: Free roam of a spacious downstairs with plenty of comfy spots for naps.Secure Outdoor Space: Access to a fully-fenced, secure garden for playtime and potty breaks throughout the day.Daily Adventures: At least 1 walk per day, exploring lovely local spots. I tailor exercise levels to your dog's needs and energy! Having had Labradors,Bulldog and Pugs I understand the different needs all dogs have. Our family pug I’ve had since a puppy, he’s now 3 and very friendly. I also have an indoor cat who gets on with our dog. I volunteered at the RSPCA so walked many different breeds and temperaments.Lots of Love & Attention: Plenty of cuddles, playtime, and interaction are standard!
Recent review:"Josie was very happy with Amanda, there were no problems at all. They were sorry to see her go home. Amanda sent us pictures of Josie while we were away. I would rate Amanda 5 star plus."

Hi, I’m Charly, a calm, trustworthy pet carer based right here in Southampton. I’ve loved animals my whole life — growing up surrounded by dogs and cats taught me that every pet deserves patience, kindness, and routine. I’ve since gained hands‑on experience caring for all ages and temperaments: bouncy puppies, nervous rescues, gentle seniors, and everything in between.

I offer 30‑, 45‑, or 60‑minute home drop‑in visits and 30‑ to 60‑minute walks. Every visit includes feeding, fresh water, playtime, fuss, litter/yard checks, and securing your home; walks follow safe routes at your pet’s pace. I’m comfortable giving medication, and I always stick exactly to your rules and routine. I care for dogs and cats of all sizes, and I’m happy to meet any special needs
When walking the dogs I make sure I'm in a non busy or crowded place in case the dog I'm looking after is anxious around other dogs.

I’m available weekdays and weekends, with flexible morning, afternoon, and evening slots. I’m DBS checked, reliable, and will send quick photo updates so you can relax. In an emergency I’ll contact you straight away and act responsibly. I treat every pet exactly as I would want my own to be cared for.

Hello! If you're looking for a pet sitter who treats your pets like family — you've just found one.
Animals have always been a big part of my life. My beloved dog lived to the age of 16, and my two cats were also long-lived companions. I believe that such long lives are the result of daily love, attention, and proper care — and that’s exactly what I offer to every pet I look after.
Currently, I share my home with a sweet and curious cat named Luchik, who keeps reminding me how unique every animal is. Whether your pet needs quiet companionship or an energetic walk, I adapt my care to their personality and routine.
I offer reliable, flexible, and compassionate pet sitting tailored to your pet's needs — in your home or mine. If you’re going away or just need a helping hand, I’ll make sure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and well cared for.
Let’s chat! I’d be happy to meet you and your pet.

Hi, My name is Alberto. I'm an experienced and skilled dog walker. I've walked many different breeds and I use to have a good connection with all of them. I am passionate about dogs and I'm a Level 3 dog trainer and studying to become a Level 4 instructor pet dog trainer. I've worked for other dog walk company before, and now I'm working on my own. I am very patient and I like to give the best walks, always in accordance with the dog's needs. I have the dog's first aid certificate. I'm offering solo walks, group walks...For your information:•£20 for one hour walk.I'm happy helping out with the dogs and their families to find a better way to be happy living together. If you need more information or you have a question, don't hesitate to contact me and I'll take good care of your furry one.See you soon.

I have had dogs all my life, and I had a family cat from November to when I moved out in April! I have had three large/giant breed dogs and I had a 3 legged rabbit for 8 years who is greatly missed! I bathed my dogs many times and towards the end of their lives had to think of new ways to try and give them medications. My old dog was a nervous and reactive dog, so I always took great care when she was out walking in the neighbourhood, and I was always careful with my friendly dog due to other dogs' reactivity on walks.
I live with my partner and have no pets in our home permanently, as it is a bit small for an animal full-time! I am available for dog walking and pet sitting in client homes. I also work with children and young people, so I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate! I have a Level 3 Animal Care and Management BTEC, and originally wanted to be a veterinary nurse, but decided it was not for me. If needed, I can bathe and give animals a brush, provided this is recommended for them and the products are provided, e.g. no bathing rabbits or cats. I do also have a car with a dog cover so if longer walks are needed then please request these!
I love animals and have done since I was young. There have been a variety of animals in my home, like hamsters, ferrets, rats, rabbits and I have grown up with smaller dogs also! I would like to be a sitter at the moment on the weekends to earn a little bit of money, what better way to spend the day than with animals! Please note that if any specific requests are needed for 24 hour care then to discuss this with me individually as I may need to ask for a higher price e.g. certain hours or more than one pet at the home.

I will care for your pet as if he or she was my own. I had pets all my life (cats, dogs, rabbits and even a leopard gecko). I have serious cat withdrawal symptoms! I love dogs, as well as all animals really and I look forward to helping you out with your pet sitting needs :)

Visit will be tailored to your pets' needs. Happy to do photo / video or even FaceTime updates :) Happy to go on dog walks (up to 30 mins) if required.
