Top cities for cat sitting in United Kingdom

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly West Parley Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our West Parley cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our West Parley cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Animals have always played a special role in my life, and becoming a pet sitter allows me to turn that love into something meaningful. My motivation comes from the happiness I feel when caring for pets and knowing I can make them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that leaving a pet with someone else requires trust, so I always do my best to provide a calm, loving, and secure environment. I have experience taking care of pets for friends and family, including feeding, walking, playing, and keeping their routines consistent. I do have 2 dogs as well and birds. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, whether they are active or more relaxed.
I only accept vaccinated pets into my home to ensure everyone’s safety. I am reliable, patient, and committed to giving your pet the same care and attention I would give my own.

I love all animals! Having grown up with a rescue dog in the family myself and living, on and around farms, I've learnt to love every pet.I've previously pet sit for friends and neighbours so I have experience pet sitting, also living on a working farm in Poland, Ive learnt to look after multiple dogs, cats goats and other livestock (not that you would have livestock as pets)!Just like us, all animals are different, and I try to be attentive to specific needs or behaviours to make pets feel comfortable, like sticking to their routines or accommodating any special requirements they may have. After moving out, I've not seen my little Jack Russel, Diesel, in quite some time and would love to care for your pets just as I have mine!I am generally more experienced with dogs, however not a stranger to working with other animals too!I am a non-smoker, and will treat your house with utmost respect, everything will be left as found.

Hi! I'm Gleisa, an experienced and reliable pet sitter based in BH1, Bournemouth.I've always loved animals and have over 3 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and fish. Most of my clients have come through recommendations from friends and neighbours.I work Hybrid, so during house sitting your pet will have plenty of company, attention and supervision throughout most of the days. I believe pets are happiest in their own home, following their usual routine, and I'll care for yours as if they were my own.I'm happy to keep your home tidy, water plants, bring in the post, and send regular photo updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.Availability:
Dog walking & home visits: Weekdays after 5:30 pm (BH1 and nearby).
House sitting: Available on selected dates.
Please note: I don't offer boarding in my own home, grooming, dog training or medication administration.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry family!

I have a lot of experience house and pet sitting and regularly pet sit a gorgeous golden lab who brings me so much joy! Dogs always come up to me when I'm out walking and I'm told this is due to my calm nature and cats feel relaxed around me, I feel very honoured.
I grew up with all types of animals - cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits etc but have a special fondness for dogs. I'd love one of my own but renting won't allow this sadly :(
I am fit and healthy so can handle dogs of all sizes and LOVE long walks so I'll have no issues taking your pooch out for longer walks if that's what they need.
I used to work in the NHS as a Radiographer but now I work from home as a Functional Health Practitioner so I'm extremely flexible and can be available to sit any time of the year.
You can find me in the Westbourne area near Bournemouth but I'm happy to travel out further if required.
🫧 I also offer an optional cleaning service where i will hoover & clean all communual rooms with non toxic, plant based cleaning products for an additional charge so that when you return your home will be all sparkly and fresh :)
Please contact me if you would like any references from my regulars.
Thanks for checking out my profile,
Kat

I am currently a 3rd year university student and miss my 2 dogs at home very much, and so am looking to help around with your furry friends. I am well versed in looking after dogs, my parents having fostered 2 dogs before, and having grown up in a dog and cat family. My 2 dogs at home are both rescues and both only have 3 legs! So any and all dogs are welcome.
If it's just a small walk you're looking for, or for me to look after them whilst you are out for the day, I am down for whatever. I am quite happy with doing my uni work at yours and looking after your dog, taking them out when needed. I think it will be nice to have some company whilst I do!!
My experience with looking after animals is looking after my own dogs, of course. We've also taken in neighbours dogs to look after for a weekend or a night, and so I have a few previous experiences with dog sitting. My girl dog is getting older now and so when taking her on a walk, I have had to adapt to the lengths and terrain of our walks because her front leg can have a lot of strain, and so I will always ensure the best for your dog.

Strong attention and listening skills, making sure I absorbe all details of the job and stay
I am probably most suited for short stays , however I am happy to be flexible on this if the location is appropriate
my dog tiny, is elderly so I am familiar with that kind of care, however I am highly energetic and love going for walks, I am a climber so I spend most of my time outdoors and for sure the doggies will get lots of walks
I am situated in Weymouth and have my own car and way around , I'm happy to do a bit of travel
I like to keep my space clean and tidy, I am respecting and mindful of others, I will take care of your home as well as your pets
I am loving kind and patient and genuinely excited to take care of your precius pawed family members

Hello,
My name is Sophie and I'm 26 years old. I currently work in veterinary medicine as a veterinary care assistant and have 7+ years of animal experience behind me! I love all animals including the scaly and feathered friends having had a reptile of my own. I've never had birds but I'm passionate about the welfare of all our pets so you can trust that they'll be in good hands!
I'm confident in handling all breeds of dogs and animals in general! I'll always be making a huge fuss of them so you know they'll be well loved and spoilt by me!
If they have some medication I'm also able to give that depending on what medication and their temperament. I'm currently offering just pop in visits on the weekends for 30 mins. I can do this twice a day also.
I'm fully animal first aid trained and I'm happy to do a free meet and greet if your pet is a bit nervous around new people! I have done cat/dog sitting in the past for friends and family who all are very happy with the service I provide ️.

I'd love to get to know you and your pets so message me for any more information

Welcome to Fuller Cat Care
Hello, I’m Amelia, the owner of Fuller Cat Care – a professional, fully insured cat sitting service dedicated exclusively to cats.
I founded Fuller Cat Care with one simple goal: to provide exceptional, personalised care that allows cats to remain happy, relaxed and comfortable in the place they know best – their own home. Rather than offering general pet sitting, I specialise solely in feline care, allowing me to tailor every visit to your cat’s unique personality, routine and individual needs.
I understand that every cat is different. Some enjoy interactive play and affection, while others prefer quiet companionship and consistency. My approach is always led by your cat, ensuring they receive attentive, compassionate care that respects their boundaries and helps them feel safe while you’re away.
As a professional cat sitter, I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of care. I am fully insured, trained in Pet First Aid and CPR, and continually invest in feline care education to keep my knowledge and skills up to date. My priority is not only your cat’s happiness and wellbeing, but also giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away.
Every visit is personalised and may include:
• Feeding and fresh water• Litter tray cleaning and hygiene• Playtime and enrichment• Grooming (where welcomed by your cat)• Medication administration where appropriate• Welfare checks and monitoring• Home security checks• Bringing in post and watering indoor plants if requested• Detailed photo, video and written updates after every visit
Why choose Fuller Cat Care?
Cat-exclusive service – My focus is entirely on cats, allowing me to understand their behaviour, routines and individual needs.
Professional and fully insured – Providing reliable, trustworthy care with complete peace of mind.
Pet First Aid & CPR trained – Giving you added reassurance should an emergency ever arise.
Personalised, unrushed visits – Standard visits are up to one hour, giving your cat plenty of time for companionship, enrichment and attentive care.
Regular updates – You’ll receive detailed messages along with photographs and videos after each visit, so you always know how your cat is doing.
Complimentary meet & greet – Before your first booking, we’ll meet to discuss your cat’s routine, preferences and any medical or behavioural requirements.
Respect for your home – Alongside caring for your cat, I’m happy to bring in post, water indoor plants, adjust blinds or lighting, and carry out basic home security checks while you’re away.
For me, cat sitting is about far more than feeding and cleaning a litter tray. It’s about building trust, maintaining routines and providing genuine one-to-one care so your cat feels secure and content while you’re away.
Whether you’re heading off on holiday, travelling for work or simply need someone dependable to care for your cat, you can be confident they’ll receive the same level of kindness, patience and attention that I would want for my own.
I look forward to meeting you and your feline family.

Hi, I'm Matt.I have two absolutely mad cocker spaniels and had another cocker spaniel previously, so I'm well used to dogs that need plenty of exercise.I also have fish and a gecko.Over the years we've had plenty of normal family pets, hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits.I'm very reliable and trustworthy, I have many references available on request.Due to my previous employment I have an enhanced DBS certificate and am also high level security cleared.I'm able come into your home to feed your animals or let them out to go to the toilet.
I am now self employed, but having been employed full time for the past 25 years, I know how hard it can be to work and still manage to look after pets.
I was lucky enough to have for the majority of that time to work shift work and then when I worked a more normal job, my daughter was able to come home and let the dogs out.I like to meet you and your pet before I commit to anything so you and your pet are both happy.Any questions please feel free to ask.

Hi there! Latino america pet lover, from birds to doggies! I always thoguht of wildlife being better companions than people, reason why I love visiting places where can find different species. Yes, professional involved in environmental sciences, doggie proud dad, and had experience with birds sitting before. There is no more rewarding feeling than when you see your pet happy, smiling, and probably with their tongue out. Great feeling!
I love learning from different personalities in animals, the way that they behave and act; love learning from them and curious to see what would be their next step.
I have a 2yrs doggie, who is shy with other people until he gets to trust them, but really happy when playing with furries. He is curious too! Always lived with other animals before, back in my country.
Considering I live alone with my doggie, my flat has quite a space to look after other pets, and due to my flexible work environment I spend most of the time at home. The flat has a green area just behind the building, as well as near Strathclyde Country Park which will offer 6k of fun walk for pets. Every pet is different and I understand the feeling of leaving them behind when holidays or do not have enough time for them. So I like to keep owners updated with pics and vids of their dogs habing fun and any dietary requirements or maybe any special needs are quite open to follow.
Apart from doggies I have experience looking after cats too, my bestfriend has 4 so far. Also birds, had a budgie before, yes only one, and we became best friends over the time.
