After years of looking after my own cats, and cat sitting friends' and families' cats when they go on holiday, I've decided to finally set myself up as a cat sitter and start doing the thing I love the most full-time!I'm DBS checked, and am currently working with the Animal Care College to achieve a Level 2 Certificate in Feline First Aid.&nbsp;I believe every cat has their own distinct personality and I love getting to know each and every one.&nbsp;During my visits I like to take the time to let the cats get to know me, to have a good sniff and find out where I've come from. I take it nice and slow with shy cats - my Jinx is very shy, even after 10 years the smallest thing can make him run and hide, so I know to be slow and calm at all times with him. I love spending time playing with them too - I never just feed them and run.I've had pets all my life, from the family dog when I was little, to hamsters, gerbils, fish, hermit crabs, guinea pigs, rabbits, and of course, cats. I got my first cat, a gorgeous long-haired rescue called Benny, when I was 18, and I haven't been without a cat since - in fact I usually have two. My cats are both indoor cats as we live near busy roads, but we are big outdoor animal fans too, and have feeders for birds and squirrels that we regularly replenish in our garden. We're getting a big selection of birds visit us at the moment, including&nbsp;greenfinch, bluetits, doves, blackbirds, and woodpeckers.We're currently redesigning our garden to have a big wildflower area to encourage bees and other insects. Hello! I'm a dedicated cat sitter specialising in cat home visits. 
I have over 14 years of personal experience raising my own cat, so I truly understand cats’ routines, behaviours, and emotional needs. I’m very patient with shy, nervous, or independent cats and always allow them to approach me in their own time.
My home visits include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, gentle playtime (if your cat is in the mood), and making sure your home is left safe and secure. I carefully follow all instructions provided by owners, as I know consistency is very important for cats.
I also provide photo and message updates during each visit, so you can relax knowing your cat is happy and well cared for in their familiar environment.

Let me introduce myself and tell you a little about me. Iam called Michelle (ironically!) and have lived in Manchester/Tyldesley for 15 years. I have always had pets - cockatiels, rabbits, cats and dogs (and even tried to bring a few mice back to life and set free when they have been bought in by my 2 menaces!).I now have 2 cats and a dog and decided to start this business a few years ago as I didn't want to upset my cats by having to put them in their baskets and take them to a cattery so looked for a similar business, then thought I love cats (and all animals) so much that I could do this myself and here I am about 2/3 years later and love it!I have looked after over 50 families cat/s over 3 years, one family having 7 cats! I have the odd rabbit and fish too! From just going to feed them, empty litter trays, even open and close curtains/blinds along with watering flowers and putting the bins out! Making it look like someone is at home and you are relaxed on your holiday!
