I live  in Cheltenham close to a park which is  very popular with local dog walkers, where dogs can be safely let off the lead, socialise with other dogs and get plenty of exercise.  Equally its a 10 minute drive to open country side and the popular woodlands trust field in Ullenwood where dogs can also walk safely off the lead, run around  and get their daily exercise in.
I am flexible in that I can collect your dog and take it for a walk, or I can have your dog for the day , even overnight in my own home. My garden is a large enough space, very tranquil , backing on to a stream, but it is also fully inclosed for your dog to enjoy, it's time whilst it's here being looked after by me.
We've always had a dog in the family, and as Adult's, my children now have golden retrievers of their own, which I often have to stay over and walk. I have a dachound which is friendly with other dogs but can be kept separate if required.
I am trustworthy and reliable. I am new to Pawshake,  but can provide references as required and will meet for a brief visit, prior to your first dog booking to meet you  and your dog(s) to establish what is required.

Hi! We‘re Alex and Stef, a young couple originally from Austria and we have been living in Cheltenham for 3 years now. We have both been around pets our whole life and after we have moved to England together, we decided to spend our free time looking after pets. This has mainly consisted of housesitting on another platform, but also walking dogs locally in Cheltenham. We have completed over 45 housesits, looking after 55+ different dogs, and many lovely cats. We have looked after large dogs, young dogs and puppies, but also older dogs. Same with cats! On some occasions we were lucky to gather experience looking after horses, turtles, rabbits, chickens and fish. We also have experience with drop-in visits. In our pictures, you can see some of the lovely pets we‘ve fallen in love with within our time pet sitting. Many of these we regularly go back to and look after, which makes us extremely happy :)
Petsitting has made us fall in love with dogs &amp; cats so so much, it’s genuinely what we love doing most and we certainly want to continue this passion of looking after animals for probably all our lives! It brings us so much joy whenever we meet a new furry friend or we go back to see them again! We cannot wait to meet you and your pets and have the absolute best time with them giving them lots of love! :)

Our current schedule:We have just graduated university and after a couple months of travelling we have both started to work in our respective industries. Alex has started to work in an office in Cheltenham with two home-working days and Stef is currently still waiting to start her new role which will be part-time. We want to spend practically all of our free time with pets, and can be flexible in fitting our schedules around your needs.What is important for us?What‘s most important to us about pet care is that we genuinely love each pet we get to care for as if it was our own, we try to get to know them and bond with them, and then adapt to whatever the specific pet needs. Building trust is super important to us, so that definitely always comes first.
Note about Dog Day Care - at the moment we sadly cannot have pets in our home for a full day, as we live in a rental flat without a garden, but we thought we would still offer the service as we really like to go out on day trips with dogs, be out and about and explore. This would consist of a long walk, then maybe settling down in a dog friendly cafe for us to do our work, and then going on another walk. But really, it depends on what your dog generally likes to do - we are very happy to adapt to each dog specifically. Of course, we know that this is not for every dog; however we found that it works really well for some - so we wanted to offer it on here too. Just message us if you think we would be a good fit for spending the day with your dog and we can discuss further on how the day care should look like! :)
A typical day with us:A typical day would very much depend on what the pet wants and needs. There is definitely a lot of cuddling &amp; playing involved and for the active dogs there will be long walks, we absolutely love walking. We also try to not make it too different from what their normal day to day life looks like.

My name is Abbey and dog walking/sitting is my full time job, so you can be safe in the knowledge that I have good experience with a variety of different pooches. I’m based in Bishops Cleeve but cover the cheltenham area also! I use a fully air conditioned dog walking van fitted with secure and comfortable crates.

I have a full DBS check after working in the Criminal Justice Service and fully insured. 

My qualifications include canine first aid, canine CPR, fully qualified dog groomer, dog agility for a number of years, dog behaviourist courses and rescue dog care. I am always wanting to learn and broaden my knowledge and you’ll regularly find me on courses that allow me to do that!

I have cared for a number of elderly dogs up to the age of 17 and am well versed in giving medication as my own dog has bowel disease. Nothing brings me more joy than making older dogs comfortable and giving them the best care and respect they deserve whilst their owners are away without having to worry if they’ve had their medication.

On the other end of the spectrum, I’ve dealt with many puppies in my years working with animals and adore watching them come into their own little personalities. I understand how the formative months make such a huge difference to a dogs life so teaching them fun ways to learn and puzzle solve is extremely rewarding.

Hi there!My name is Clara, I'm a student at the uni and to get a bit of change and to be a more involved in nature, and furry friends, I'll be available for early morning walks and early or evening home visits!I've had my own chocolate lab who is 10 now, and give him the autonomy he deserves as he is his own being. I like to create a bond and understanding between dogs before I walk them, as this eases the process for both me and the pet. Various times I've dog sat for other people, however I'm unable to have an overnight stay as I'm in student housing!Pittville Park is when I'm focused on walking the said dogs, however if you have suggestions on a more open air park for dogs, or have a route your beloved pet is used to nearby, I'd be more than happy to comply.&nbsp;Any questions let me know!Happy walking!Clara

I’m a carer who is updating their training right now. I absolutely adore cats and dogs, animals in general! I have looked after them since I was a little kid. I have two cats, they are my world, one kitty is 7, the other is 2. I love to meet other pet owners and say hi to cats and dogs as I walk past them (I will cross the road to say hello too). My Furbabies enjoy treat trails around the place - to tantalise their senses, laser dot chasing - to get them energised, feather catching - to tickle them, and running through a rustle tunnel. I live in a flat so there are some good places to hide treats for them to discover. I keep them well occupied and stimulated with games and training.
I am attuned with how a cat or dog is responding to me, I can read them pretty well. I love giving cuddles, fusses and treats to them. I enjoy playing with cats and dogs I believe it is very important, especially. I am responsible and understand that a routine is a routine for a dog and cat, and they may like feeding at a set time. I can administer tablets, flea, and worming treatments gently without distressing them. I look forward to meeting your wonderful Furrbabies! They are all little characters who deserve only the best.
What draws me to caring for pets because I adore animals. I believe they need love, play, exercise and routine in their day. I love interacting with them and getting to know their character, I am respectful and responsible and understand that what one pet enjoys may not be what another pet enjoys. I'm Lauren, based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. I absolutely love animals and I have had pets throughout my whole life. I love nothing more than spending time with animals and caring for them, it is something that makes me very happy and so it fills me with joy to offer my pet services. I have been feeding cats for a few months and love it. I love spending time giving them fuss and attention and getting to know their personalities. ​We have a beautiful cat Lulu and two guinea pigs, Biscuit &amp; Badger, that all get a lot of love and attention and I look forward to giving your animals the same love and attention they receive.
I will stay for 30 mins with your cats and will always make sure to leave your home in a lovely condition for when you get home and I can also leave a 'welcome home' parcel and water any plants, for an extra cost if you wish. 
I can do 30 minute or 60 minute dog walks around your local area, making sure your dog is well exercised and has been to the toilet. I can also spend time at your home settling them back in and giving them affection if you feel that's needed.
I am available, morning &amp; afternoon and early evening as I work around my daughters schooling. I cover Stroud, Stonehouse, Ebley, Nailsworth, Randwick, Ruscombe, Whiteshill, if I haven't mentioned your area but you are close to Stroud, please do still get in touch. 
I can also feed and look after any smaller animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish. 
I do not offer boarding or sitting services.
