I am Miranda, a 49 year old dutch woman with a love for anything with 4 paws (or two wings!), especially dogs and cats. I worked as a veterinary nurse for five years, three years at a cattery and two years as a full time pet-sitter. From working in all these different areas in animal well-being, I've gained knowledge in both medical and practical animal care but also in animal psychology, which is where my greatest interest lies.
I have always been passionate about animals and their well-being. I have enjoyed working at the veterinarian clinics in the Netherlands but I feel that now I have more life experience, it will be a joy for me to use my knowledge of animals and my natural way of being with them in a more personal setting! Although I am very comfortable handling any kind of pet, I have been told that I have a particularly good feel for cats.
I am very aware of the different parts of myself I have to tap into when I am looking after a dog, a cat or another animal. Where cats usually just need a very calm and gentle touch, I find that it is of vital importance that you give a dog good leadership and clear rules, before you give them cuddles. But obviously, they all have their own personality too and I will always adjust my approach to fit the animal I am caring for.
My services include walks in the park, playtime, grooming, giving medication if needed and of course lots of love :)  Unfortunately I can't look after large dogs unless they are very old and/or easy to handle.

I work shifts so usually have either 3 or 4 days off on a weekly rotation so plenty of time to get out with my dog on long wooded walks! I am local to Rawdon however willing to travel in and around the area I live to help out where I can. People would describe me as honest, trustworthy, reliable, a lover of the outdoors, a good dad both to pet and child! 

I am wanting to be a pet sitter/walking as I love animals, as mentioned I have a dog myself who loves nothing more than getting out in the great outdoors and going for muddy walks through woods and parks. I have a passion for animals and want to be able to share that experience sitting/walking new animals. I'm here to help out where I can so if you need it let me know and I will do what I can do help out where and when I can. I work full time however as mentioned it's shift work so I am flexible with what I can and when I can assist! 
I offer dog walks, I usually go to local woods or Rawdon billing. I usually go out for 1hour and a half and usually incorporate walking back home (if local) in the walk time. I am also willing to conduct home visits, these can be for anything up to 3 hours. I will sit with the pet and play with them as they go about there business. I will feed them if required. I can administer oral medication, hashing a dog myself I am used to doing this with him. 

Growing up my father instilled the love of animals in me and so I was allowed to have them and care for them in my room. From frogs, chickens, ducks and hamsters to rabbits, cats, dogs, and lambs. I love them all. Because the space we had wasn't too big I had to offer them a better life at the countryside once the farm animals were adults but cared for my cats and dogs until they passed the rainbow bridge. Moving away from my childhood I always had at least 2 dogs which I personally trained although I have no degrees for it, it's just a passion I research with every opportunity I get. I am the designated carer for my friend's and neighbours pets when they are away and I take my own 2 dogs to the park daily and tend to their grooming myself.I do work full-time Monday to Friday however I only go into the office 1 day a week which allows me to be flexible about the days I can care for more than my own dogs. All my weekends are available with some advance notice and I am open and willing to certain activities if your pet needs them.My dogs are allowed everywhere in my house and they sleep with us in bed or on the living room sofa, it's up to them to decide. I apply feeding windows for them but can also feed on a strict schedule as my previous older dogs needed medicines at specific times and take them for potty a few times a day and to the park once a day. I have been used to looking after dogs, cats and rabbits since I was a child, having my own cats and rabbits and often often taking care of dogs for family members and friends and have over 20 years experience of looking after dogs and cats. Even now with my own partner and children, I often look after dogs and cats for friends and family. I am a stay at home mum to 4 children, who absolutely adore animals. Our house is busy with 6 of us, so any pet coming to spend time with is, will never be short of attention or affection. We currently have a cat called “Poppy” and we have wanted a dog of our own for a while now, and one day in the not too distant future, we are hoping to get a dog of our own. We are a family who loves to get out for walks to parks and sometimes the beach and we love being able to take a dog with us. Being a stay at home mum means I have plenty of time during the day to care for and spend time with a dog.

We always had pets growing up. Cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, fish, lizards and worm snakes. I also went horse riding, cleaned the stables, volunteered as a farm hand and grew up wanting to care for animals. I actually became a portrait photographer so occasionally photographed them instead with their humans. But loved it all the same.
Im now a TV producer and work freelance. I have lots of free time in between contracts so want to care for animals again in my spare time. As well as looking to help foster for a cat rescue centre. I also want to help pet owners by giving the best possible pet care while they are away or at work. I had a little ragdoll Siamese cross called Vivienne, but sadly at the age of twelve I lost her just before Christmas. I cared for her with IBD, giving her medication and special care. So I have experience with cats who aren't well.&nbsp;

I have been boarding dogs, cat sitting and providing pop ins for 3 years with a 5* licence. We have always owned dogs of various breeds.&nbsp;

We have kept guineas, rabbits, mice, fish, reptiles, aviary birds, dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. I've worked in kennels, catteries and riding schools too. I have a small secure back garden and within a 5-minute walk of moorland with fantastic walks and a 5-minute drive to woodlands so there's plenty of variety for your precious pups. Insurance policy.
Your dog must be sociable with others, well behaved and be up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
£35 per day per dog. The servive I offer is Boarding in my home while you are on holiday. Occasionally I can accept a day boarder if not booked up as a one off. The dogs boarding live in my home, not kennels, they have the "run off the place". They are allowed on the furniture. You can bring a bed / blanket / something familiar, I have beds etc too. They sleep any where they choose, their bed bed, one of my dog beds, curled up with each other, on the sofa or on my bed....they choose where they are comfortable.
&nbsp;We take two walks per day, up to an hour a day depending on breed requirement, weather etc. The dogs play in the garden with me and each other. In summer the back door is open to secure garden so they can choose to be in or out. If it is exceptionally hot they are walked very early and evening in the coolest parts of the day. As per licnce regulations you supply dog food to keep your dog on the same diet so their tummy is not upset. See my calendar for availability. Dogs are seperated at feeding times behind the baby gates.&nbsp;
For cat pop in visits I feed them, clean litter trays, check all are eating healthy, un injured and give them a cuddle if they come for one. The back garden has astro turf, a five foot fence and a locked gate. I will stay around 20 to 30 minutes depending on requirements and amount of things to do at your request.
There is cctv front and back. I do not have another job. I spend all my time with the dogs, walking, feeding, grooming, playing, washing bedding, bathing dogs when needed. Dogs are dryed after walks if raining or been in a stream.Cleaned off if muddy. I only leave the dogs to pop to the shop if I am confident they will not be anxious. In that case dogs are seperated by baby gates in seperate rooms. My main food shop comes to my door. There is a lot of planning ahead to ensure your dogs are safe, happy and healthy. Dogs are cared for the most part 24/7. My licence dictates that dogs are not left unattended for more than 3 hours, quite honestly there is no way I would leave dogs from different homes unattended for longer than 30 minutes even though i seperate them.&nbsp;
I have a dog sitter to come and sit with the dogs if nessecary and an emergency contact can be called in too. I am canine first aid trained, have all the required fire safety equipment. There are no children in my home, no dogs of my own, no catts, no small animals. I board up to 4 dogs at a time.
I can administer oral medications and give insulin injections.&nbsp;
In all cases I will need to see an up to date vaccination card and require your vets details incase of emergency.&nbsp;
Please see photo gallery to see dogs living and co habiting together, out on walks, snuggled on the sofa with me etc. Your dog must get on with others in general eg when you are out on walks, dogs will either play together or not bother with another dog, maybe give a warning and move on. Hello! I'm Meredith and I've been dogsitting for about five years. I'm a young professional who does mostly remote work, so I'm flexible with my schedule. I've dog sat for all kinds of dogs - small dogs, big dogs, rescue dogs, puppies, you name it. I love dogs so much that I have recently rescued my own! Due to my own dog having certain fears (scared of strangers) and needs, I'm even more experienced now with nervous and fearful dogs, and I have a lot of knowledge about training them to come out of their shell.
I'm available to look after dogs in my home, or come to your own home. Our home is a spacious terrace house with an open plan floor and a nearby park. I can guarantee any dog in my care will have a wonderful and safe time! They will most likely meet my own dog Casper, who gets on well with other dogs.
In your own home, I take great care to leave it how I found it, and adhere to any needs of your pets (including if you have pets other than dogs - I don't dogsit exclusively :) )
