My partner Michael and I are very excited to be a helping hand for you and your fur babies.&nbsp;
A little about us: 
Before Michael and I moved in together, Michael lived at home with his 5-year-old dog Rhino, and I lived at home with my 6-year-old cat Toby. 
Rhino stayed at home with Michaels family and Toby came with us, as introducing 2 adult pets didn't go too well unfortunately :(. Since then, we have missed having a doggy around and going for long walks, so have decided it's time to get a puppy of our own in the near future! Which made us think, what better way to save some pennies for our future puppy than to care for other fur babies!! 
During the peak of the pandemic, I volunteered to dog walk and sit for the elderly who were unable to leave their homes or had to attend appointments. I met lots of precious fur babies and really enjoyed the opportunity of taking them for long walks and seeing them getting to stretch their legs.
I work from home and Michael works from home every Monday and Friday, so we have plenty of time as a team to be available for walkies and drop ins. 
We would love to be a helping hand with your fur babies and provide you peace of mind that they will be in safe and loving hands! After all they are the most precious part of the family.

Hi! My name is Maranda Wheelock, and I am a postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh studying public health. I am originally from the United States but am loving Edinburgh the more I get to explore and meet people. I love being around animals, and I know how they are an important part of your family. It can be hard to leave your furry loved ones at home all day, so I can help get them out of the house to go on walks or stay in to play and give them lots of love. I have had pets ever since I was 7, and I have babysat for many of my friend’s pets as well. I am very flexible around my classes and can meet any of your needs! 
My availability is typically afternoons and evenings. I offer dog walking services and can take them on 30 minute-1 hour long walks. I can walk them around the neighborhood or take them to their favorite park! I have administered medications to my parent’s dog before, so I can do that if necessary as well.

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of caring for two remarkable cats, one of whom required special attention and medical care, including administering injections – a responsibility I willingly shouldered. At present, I share my abode with an adorable rat, adding a unique and delightful dynamic to my animal-loving household.
Regrettably, my cherished pets currently reside with my mother in Ukraine, creating a palpable sense of longing for their companionship. Despite the physical distance, my passion for animals remains unwavering. Engaging in dog walks with a friend's furry companion brings me immense joy, as does the delight of playful interactions with cats.
My approach to animals is defined by a gentle and caring demeanor, reflecting a deep respect for their well-being. I eagerly anticipate connecting with fellow pet enthusiasts, sharing experiences, and fostering a community centered around our shared love for these wonderful creatures.&nbsp;


I grew up always surrounded by pets at home and we had several dogs which were my best friends. I recently was a proud dog mum to two lovely but sometimes a little naughty rescue greyhounds! Sadly we lost them both in their old age earlier this year. I am not in a position to adopt again at the moment, but am missing the happiness and joy dogs can bring to our lives. This is why I have set up a Pawshake profile, to help out with your furry family&nbsp;
I have experience with anxious and needy dogs, as well as dogs who are not happy around other dogs, people or other pets. I am understanding, patient and caring and understand that all dogs are different and have their own quirks and funny personalities. I have carried out training with my own dogs, including basic commands but also helping with some behavioural issues and would be able to offer some of this experience to training. I'd be happy also to do some basic dog maintenance e.g brushing fur and teeth. I will get to know your dog and your requirements, and could house sit overnight at weekends, or bank holidays if needed. I would be able to also some basic house chores like watering the plants if I'll be there anyway, and would spend time with your day giving them plenty of fuss!
My availabilty for dog walking would primarily be weekends in the day or weekday evenings as I do work Monday to Friday, usually in the office. On the weekend, or weekday evenings I can dog sit or walk your dog, and will only take on one dog at at time (unless from the same family), so your dog would have my undivided attention (as it should be!).&nbsp;
I am based in the NewTown/Stockbridge area of Edinburgh so at the moment would be available for only fairly local dogs - but happy to meet more! Walks would mostly be short walks around the city, but if your dog needs longer walks we could go further to Inverleith Park or near you and do some running around and play fetch etc.&nbsp;

Hi, there! My name is Noah and I'm now studying in the art college of UoE. I really love animals and most of my design works start from animals' perspectives. I have some experience of walking and taking care of my friends' dogs when she is busy with her work (her dog is a Corgi, he has been bullied by large dogs in his childhood, it's not easy to walk him in the street.) Also, my sister is working in London, I will take care of her baby cat, jojo, in my holiday (you can see him in my profile photos)
Because I can't have a cat in the flat I rent, I only can be responsible for home visit. I have some free time in weekdays, especially in Wednesday, and of course the weekends. I totally understand the problem of my sister when she has to fly to another country for business trips or she cannot easily promise a long holiday trip, because she worries her pets. Also we don't really agree on sending cats to a new place for boarding, most of them have stress reactions. So I think home visit is a better way to solve problems. I am very responsible for taking care of cats. Don't worry about your cats starving or feeling lonely, I'm really looking forward to spending time with them :)

I’m Gabryel and I travel the world as a pet sitter. I love animals so much and we have experience with them, especially cats and dogs. I grew up with them in my home and love to be in contact with them on a daily basis. As I'm traveling constantly, sometimes its hard to not have any pet around me. Moreover, I live in close proximity to The Meadows, a splendid location for leisurely walks and a source of joy for both dogs and their human friends. I can already envision us immersing in the fresh air and greenery that this park has to offer.

 I’m veterinary technician graduate with biology master’s. I have job experience in pet hospital and private veterinary. I grew up with animals and I have experience with vast majority of pets. I love them they love me back.
I’m currently working home office as self employed data analyst, they won’t be alone. Don’t have much in my plate right now. So i’ve time for a furry fella. My Labrador passed away 2 years ago and I miss him everyday. After long years of companionship I got used to have a friend around me. Meeting new dogs and spending time with them really helps.
I live 2 minutes to The Meadows and it is perfect for dog walking I love it here. If I'm walking with a friendly social dog, it gives the opportunity to meet other dogs, say hi and play a little and if I'm walking with a dog who is nervous around other dogs/people there are paths to avoid other dogs and crowd so they can just walk and relax. The Meadows is big enough for everybody. 
Keeping the same routine is essential for dogs. I will follow their routine while getting to know them. It’s all about communication once we start they will tell me what they need and what they want.

As a cat owner, I understand how nerve-wrecking it can be to leave your furry friend(s) behind. I always worry about Cloud who’s quite anxious when I’m away from home. Therefore, I would love to provide some company and comfort and care for your four-legged family members while you are away.&nbsp;
My university schedule is pretty flexible and with summer holidays coming up, I can do home visits anytime throughout the day. I can stay for as long or as little as it suits you and your cat's needs (usually between twenty to forty minutes). I would be happy to drop in and play, feed, groom your cat and clean the litter tray, and even bring in the mail or water plants if needed. It would be my pleasure to get to know their particular likes and dislikes, and follow any routines necessary to help your fur babies feel at ease.
I have years of experience at volunteering at local cat and dog shelters. I believe that the training provided at vet school on handling techniques and animal behaviours can help me care for your pet in the best possible way.
