My Background
From a young age I have grown up having pets. Through having pets throughout my childhood, I learnt how to give them the right love and care that they needed. The first dog I ever had was an English Bullmastiff called Simba, she spent her lifetime living with me and my family. While we had Simba we then had another dog called Zuka. He is a cross between an English Bullmastiff and an Italian Masstiff, also known as a Cane Corso. I have watched him grow up from a puppy to age 11. I remember when I was younger I wanted to walk them both, but as I was so much smaller I wasn't able to. I looked after Zuka for my Dad at times, sadly Zuka passed away in 2023. 

My Motivation and Experience 
As I have experience with looking after both cats and dogs, I was excited when I found out that I could have the opportunity to take care of other peoples pets as well. I love animals and would really enjoy meeting and caring for many more. I have experience with looking after bigger dogs, as Zuka is a Bullmastiff breed. Therefore I would feel comfortable and confident with looking after a dog that's big or small. I have looked after 4 dogs at the same time.

I have over 30 years experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, degus and budgies. I am a qualified veterinary nurse and strive to care for all animals as if they were my own.&nbsp;
I am happy to visit cats and /or small furries in their own homes and to walk single or small numbers of dogs from the same family.&nbsp;
I am confident giving administrating medication and proving services such a nail clips, anal gland expression and basic grooming.&nbsp;
I currently live with a houseful of rescue cats and volunteer at a cat rescue. I am happy to discuss any addition services you may require and am open to both 1 off and longer term arrangements.

I'm originally from just over the border into Lancashire but have now lived in Leeds for more than seven years. I'm a trainee counsellor and crisis support worker and love animals, nature, history and music. I have a 16 year old Patterdale Terrier named Owen, I've had him since I was 10 and he's the apple of my eye! I live with him and my husband. These days Owen isn't up for long walks, and I'm missing spending time out in nature with a furry friend.
I've always loved animals and love meeting pets and getting to know their personalities and making them happy. As a pet owner myself I know how important it is to know that your pet is being well taken care of and having a good time when you're not there.

I've worked in veterinary industry for a number of years as well as growing up with animals from a young age. I’ve always had animals I don’t feel complete without them.
I have experience with handling, caring, medicating small and large animals.&nbsp;
Aswell as caring for the animals I work with I also have 2 Labrador’s and 1 jack russell of my own. Love them dearly. I love nothing more than taking them out on long walks and trips away, making memories. I’m terrible for snuggles with them too, can’t seem to sleep properly without them sharing my bed.

I am Miranda, a 49 year old dutch woman with a love for anything with 4 paws (or two wings!), especially dogs and cats. I worked as a veterinary nurse for five years, three years at a cattery and two years as a full time pet-sitter. From working in all these different areas in animal well-being, I've gained knowledge in both medical and practical animal care but also in animal psychology, which is where my greatest interest lies.
I have always been passionate about animals and their well-being. I have enjoyed working at the veterinarian clinics in the Netherlands but I feel that now I have more life experience, it will be a joy for me to use my knowledge of animals and my natural way of being with them in a more personal setting! Although I am very comfortable handling any kind of pet, I have been told that I have a particularly good feel for cats.
I am very aware of the different parts of myself I have to tap into when I am looking after a dog, a cat or another animal. Where cats usually just need a very calm and gentle touch, I find that it is of vital importance that you give a dog good leadership and clear rules, before you give them cuddles. But obviously, they all have their own personality too and I will always adjust my approach to fit the animal I am caring for.
My services include walks in the park, playtime, grooming, giving medication if needed and of course lots of love :)  Unfortunately I can't look after large dogs unless they are very old and/or easy to handle.

Growing up my father instilled the love of animals in me and so I was allowed to have them and care for them in my room. From frogs, chickens, ducks and hamsters to rabbits, cats, dogs, and lambs. I love them all. Because the space we had wasn't too big I had to offer them a better life at the countryside once the farm animals were adults but cared for my cats and dogs until they passed the rainbow bridge. Moving away from my childhood I always had at least 2 dogs which I personally trained although I have no degrees for it, it's just a passion I research with every opportunity I get. I am the designated carer for my friend's and neighbours pets when they are away and I take my own 2 dogs to the park daily and tend to their grooming myself.I do work full-time Monday to Friday however I only go into the office 1 day a week which allows me to be flexible about the days I can care for more than my own dogs. All my weekends are available with some advance notice and I am open and willing to certain activities if your pet needs them.My dogs are allowed everywhere in my house and they sleep with us in bed or on the living room sofa, it's up to them to decide. I apply feeding windows for them but can also feed on a strict schedule as my previous older dogs needed medicines at specific times and take them for potty a few times a day and to the park once a day. We always had pets growing up. Cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, fish, lizards and worm snakes. I also went horse riding, cleaned the stables, volunteered as a farm hand and grew up wanting to care for animals. I actually became a portrait photographer so occasionally photographed them instead with their humans. But loved it all the same.
Im now a TV producer and work freelance. I have lots of free time in between contracts so want to care for animals again in my spare time. As well as looking to help foster for a cat rescue centre. I also want to help pet owners by giving the best possible pet care while they are away or at work. I have used this service myself and I know the worry it can cause trusting a stranger with your fur babies. I absolutely love animals, I'm neither a cat or dog person. I'm an animal person. I had a little ragdoll Siamese cross called Vivienne, but sadly at the age of twelve I lost her just before Christmas. I cared for her with IBD, giving her medication and special care. So I have experience with cats who aren't well.&nbsp;

I'm good with any breed of dog, no matter their age, gender, or how big or small they may be; I grew up with a pitbull and an Australian shepherd for 10+ years and now I own a collie who is 2 years old.&nbsp;

I've also had multiple cats over the course of my life, as well as other pets such as a bearded dragon, ferrets, rabbits and fish. So I would be with happy with any sort of animal, and I will care for them as if they were my own.

Hello! I'm Meredith and I've been dogsitting for about five years. I'm a young professional who does mostly remote work, so I'm flexible with my schedule. I've dog sat for all kinds of dogs - small dogs, big dogs, rescue dogs, puppies, you name it. I love dogs so much that I have recently rescued my own! Due to my own dog having certain fears (scared of strangers) and needs, I'm even more experienced now with nervous and fearful dogs, and I have a lot of knowledge about training them to come out of their shell.
I'm available to look after dogs in my home, or come to your own home. Our home is a spacious terrace house with an open plan floor and a nearby park. I can guarantee any dog in my care will have a wonderful and safe time! They will most likely meet my own dog Casper, who gets on well with other dogs.
In your own home, I take great care to leave it how I found it, and adhere to any needs of your pets (including if you have pets other than dogs - I don't dogsit exclusively :) )
I am able to administer medication, and also provide some training if that is what you'd like. I also have access to a car for easier transport.
